DOCTOR WHO: 5th Doctor & Companions Panel Highlights - LI Who 2022

- Doctor Who actors Peter Davison, Sarah Sutton, and Janet Fielding gave a panel at the LI Who Meglos 2022 convention to talk about the show, their experiences, and to answer fan questions.
Peter Davison portrays the Fifth Doctor on Doctor Who for 70 episodes from 1981 to 1984 but has also reprised his role for Big Finish audio, in the short Time Crash, and most recently in The Power of the Doctor special. He is also known for his work on The Larkins, Gentleman Jack, Life, Law & Order: UK, The Last Detective, and many more. He also wrote, directed, and starred in The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the show.
Sarah Sutton played Nyssa on Doctor Who, starting with Tom Baker and concluding her run with Peter Davison. She reprised her role in the 1993 Doctor Who: Dimensions in Time short. She is also known for Soldiers of Love, The Moon Stallion, Westway, Late Call, and more. She also appeared in The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot.
Janet Fielding played Tegan on Doctor Who for 65 episodes, played the same role in the Big Finish audio dramas, and recently reprised her role in The Power of the Doctor special. She appeared in The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot as well. Her other roles have included parts in Prisoner Zero, Blind Justice, Murphy’s Mob, Hold the Back Page, and Minder.

Yes. She wore it as her normal clothes all Saturday.

@@derekhart3308 No, she said it was a costume given to her. There was one before it I think she said she didn't like, so she went back and got them to agree and give her another.

I turn fucking 50 next year and so Peter is still my sexy young Doctor in the way David Tennant became. And we know this will will now happen again.
Shit I’m in my mid twenties and Peter Davison is still MY sexy young Doctor. Gotta love him, I’m lucky to have seen it but it must’ve been awesome to have been there in the 80s!
Depressing isn’t it. Although I never find the Doctors sexy, that just seems wrong.

50 now and it always seems like art mirroring life with these guys. But that's what gives that era a certain gumption. In today's Who everyone has to be friends. Peter had to be a kind of put-upon schoolmaster.
Wait....was Janet trying to subtly keep Peter from revealing that there is another Five / Tegan scene we haven’t seen yet? Say, for the 60th anniversary? Listen to what Janet says and how intently she is working to keep him from talking...
So there WAS another scene, but it was for Jodie's finale and The Tales from the TARDIS episode with Janet
