if I remember from watching it back in the day I don't think Jackie would have had that much of a bond with Robert, he did acknowledge himself as a Sugden but he was a Merrick and his bond to the Sugden clan was not that strong. Robert has an older sister Sandie too that he has no bond with and she is still alive and an older brother Tommy that just vanished off the show!
I can still hear the Sugden brothers saying "marm". I forgot how Jack and Joe as brothers fought like cats and dogs- history repeated itself with Andy and Robert. I almost forgot about Jack's other sons, Jackie and Daz.
At 0.32 that is Robert's biological mum Pat dying in the car crash. I guess that is one of the reasons I disliked how Robert used to treat Andy, he was always saying "Jack is not your real dead" but Sarah was not his biological mum but that was never thrown in his face. Robert also has a half sister Sandie (never mentioned) @3.04 he has a half brother Tommy (never mentioned) his only full sibling his brother Jackie is dead@0.13 @3.04 (he never really knew him) and an almost adopted brother Daz @3.36 secs (Andy's biological brother) who Robert hated. I always found it strange that neither Andy or Robert ever mentioned their OTHER brothers and sisters.
I live in the US so I don't get to watch Emmerdale. I watched this video to get faces and names but this didn't help me at all cause there's no reference to anyone. I also didn't realize that the Sugden family was such a part of Emmerdale's history. Great video though.

its great to see the old sugdens. we never hear the victoria or robert talking about them much. it is a shame.
