I remember going to a Low Rider show in San Diego in 1982- under the Coronado Bridge. I always saw the cars rolling around my neighborhood- but that day at the show, I saw the Lowrider for the first time. Pretty cool to an 8 year old kid👍.

Don't give them credit for something they had absolutely nothing to do with. They all started embracing this style once it was brought out by us Chicanos!
47 years old and from Louisiana. Customized bikes was a big thing here in the early 80's. The police got involved because we were stealing hood ornaments for our bikes so the news announced if you're spotted with a car ornament on your bike without a receipt you will be arrested. Cali took it to the next level but they wasn't first Extended forks, high rise handle bars, and banana seats on a beach cruiser was how it started.
Oh geez , those are some tough looking bikes. He has a vision and it comes out in the bicycles. I would hate to think about getting dirt on them .🙂🚴♂️

Yep that's how I started by working on my low Rider bike. Looking for parts at the flamarket as a kid with my dad. Now I work on my lolo 1959 impala with my son which was my mom and dad's car. And now son is working on his low Rider bike. Sonny also helps me at our shop. I just wish his mom was hear to see him working along side Dad. As momma always use to say. "Some day his going to be right there working by you. "
I done went and got me a good idea what to do with the 3 wheel adult trike I aquired about 4 years ago. I'm a 5-1/2 year lung cancer survivor and I'm always looking for something to keep me busy. Think I'm fixin to build a trike, might be a fun journey.....
