I thought the sentence was shockingly harsh. If I understand the case they overvalued their assets to secure more loans but that does not equal stealing actual monies bc they still had to repay mortgages on those loans. I mean for crimeny sakes people kill others and get lesser sentences.

The judge in this case actually got extremely mad because she said they didn’t show any remorse. Why would you show remorse when you are standing on a not guilty plea just because they think you’re guilty are you supposed to feel remorse for something you didn’t do. I think the judge had them guilty dead to right as soon as she read the case because all judges can look at cases they are putting on their calander. I don’t know how other people think but me myself know all human are flawed you can’t keep your own judgment out of the things that you are in the know of. I know that judges are supposed to be impartial but they are human and some can’t get their mind away from certain things that they get their thoughts wrapped up in. Because Todd and Julie were celebrities she may have had them quilty before ever hearing the case maybe because they had such a beautiful family dynamic and money anything could have caused the judge to be so stern and mater of fact in this case. I really think Todd’s partner set all this up and when he knew they were own to the lies he made in their financial statements which he had control of for years he turned states evidence and testified against them. And all the mess with the irs guy he was in cahoots with someone had to be. Si I hope they get out of this trumped up case. They need to be home with Grayson and Chloe. Nanny Faye needs her family also. Savannah is a fighter for her wonderful family I think she should be admired for what she’s doing and I’m praying for them all t9 get through this and be stronger for it.

They did wrong Martha Stewart and Wesley Snipes got caught they took responsibility went to prison and did there time you never heard a word from them going on like Todd and his daughter keeps going on and on about. They are no better then anyone else who has done wrong and had to do time.

Well this isn't the first time they borrowed money from a bank. Back in 2012 they borrowed money from a bank and then they filed bankruptcy so they didn't have to pay it back to the bank. But the bank foreclosed on there home in Atlanta the one they said they was downsizing but in reality the bank took it. And then they borrowed 30 million to live a lavish life style . And they didn't want to pay that money back so they filed bankruptcy again but the bank was already onto them. Todd has judged people and they are always taking that thry are better then anyone else. And people who work hard for there money and pay there bills trying to make a living they couldn't go borrow money like that. And they have never taken any responsibility for spending that 30 million

They should at least get a work release program and the money they make will go to pay off their debts. That would get them out of the prison for 8 or 9 hours per day. There case is very sad.

This doesn't make sense. The Chrisleys shouldn't have went to prison. Not for this long. Julie shouldn't been put there at all. I just can't believe that Todd, who had every hair in place, wouldn't have his finances, not right. Something happened that they were not in control of. There's something stinks here! The judgement was way to harsh….someone had it out for them, I do believe if they are guilty, then yes, prison time should be like others, like Theresa, 18 months, her husband received 3 yrs, I believe…but 7 and 12! Yup, someone had it out for them….but I don’t think this case they won with state will have an effect on federal…just my thoughts

The Karen Read/John O'Keefe case in MA has me saying those words every single day... make it make sense! It appears that Karen Read is being framed for murder by corrupt police in the town & state police. John O'Keefe, her boyfriend, was a Boston Police officer and was killed almost 2 years ago. It looks like the corruption runs deep since a local journalist who has brought a lot of attention to the case is currently in jail for trying to question people about the case. There is sooooo much reasonable doubt that I just keep saying, every single day, MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!

As a retired Paralegal, State and Federal Courts are two different entities with different laws. What goes on in the State of Georgia has nothing to do with them being found guilty in Federal Court! It does make perfect sense if you realize the Crisleys were convicted in Federal Court NOT State Court and just because the Federal Appeals Court is located in Atlanta has nothing to do with their Federal Fraud Conviction unless their attorney can prove the Federal evidence was the same evidence used in the Federal trial.

There is a person that has done a lot worse than the Chrisleys. That person is walking around free. That being the case, they should walk free now. I loved their show. I will watch it again if possible. Have a terrific week.
