You know who Yagoo is? He is just a random dude over the street. What makes him so special? Nothing. Sometimes it's hard to remember that these Hololive Idols we've come to love are actual people. People who absolutely love what they do, making people laugh and smile. That's the job of an Idol. To bring joy, smile and laughter to people. If they've done that, then they've succeeded. And I think we can all say for certain, they've accomplished that a thousand times over. These girls have more passion and personality than most people do in anything. We on the internet are blessed to have them, especially in these very depressing and trying times. They bring smiles, warmth, laughter, tears, and more to us.
I feel the fact that they don't all act like Seiso idols is what really endears them to a lot of people. When everyone acts more or less the same, everyone is very cookie cutte but because there's such a wide breath of personalities and characters, it makes all of them a lot more interesting.
Agreed. It’s easy to have 20 talents that re basically the same with some minor differences that don’t mean much. I think that Hololive has become as big and as great as it is thanks to just how much variety there is in the personality and design of their talents. And the people behind the characters deserve insane praise for being able to bring them to life. I really like also that they seemingly don’t get forced into sticking to their character, and can bring in their own little quirks and personality ticks that make them feel so much more real.
@@umbralumbreon7380 Adding to your assessment, the other part of what makes them great is when they "embrace the NG". Obviously not all of it, but most of what they do on stream can be considered intolerable in the conventional idol community, but here they choose to just embrace it (Hololive even made some compilations), bringing more life into the characters and making us symphatize with them.
i never forget they are actual people. i mostly cry in videos like that not because i am some kind of weird that likes anime character, but that every single of them is an actual person, that they work hard to fit their characters and many more. sometimes even i cant believe how they are doing that.

I came back here after the 2nd Festival... And all I can say is thank you to Yagoo, and all these girls who made Hololive possible. 2020 is ending and it was a bad year, but getting to know Hololive during these dark times was a blessing.

Sometimes it's hard to remember that these Hololive Idols we've come to love are actual people. People who absolutely love what they do, making people laugh and smile. That's the job of an Idol. To bring joy, smile and laughter to people. If they've done that, then they've succeeded. And I think we can all say for certain, they've accomplished that a thousand times over. These girls have more passion and personality than most people do in anything. We on the internet are blessed to have them, especially in these very depressing and trying times. They bring smiles, warmth, laughter, tears, and more to us.
All the more reason to protect and support them, right?
I feel the fact that they don't all act like Seiso idols is what really endears them to a lot of people. When everyone acts more or less the same, everyone is very cookie cutte but because there's such a wide breath of personalities and characters, it makes all of them a lot more interesting.
Agreed. It’s easy to have 20 talents that re basically the same with some minor differences that don’t mean much. I think that Hololive has become as big and as great as it is thanks to just how much variety there is in the personality and design of their talents. And the people behind the characters deserve insane praise for being able to bring them to life. I really like also that they seemingly don’t get forced into sticking to their character, and can bring in their own little quirks and personality ticks that make them feel so much more real.
@@umbralumbreon7380 Adding to your assessment, the other part of what makes them great is when they "embrace the NG".
Obviously not all of it, but most of what they do on stream can be considered intolerable in the conventional idol community, but here they choose to just embrace it (Hololive even made some compilations), bringing more life into the characters and making us symphatize with them.
i never forget they are actual people. i mostly cry in videos like that not because i am some kind of weird that likes anime character, but that every single of them is an actual person, that they work hard to fit their characters and many more. sometimes even i cant believe how they are doing that.
