- National Institute Of Technology, Silchar (राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, सिलचर) is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology of India and was established in 1967.NIT Silchar has been ranked #48 for Engineering and #93 for overall performance by NIRF 2021 Rankings. The institute has also been ranked #25 for overall by The Week 2021.Numerous Ponds and lakes spread around the lush green campus with a few interesting pieces of architectural marvel. Students from all over India and abroad are attracted by NIT Silchar for its high standard of teaching and infrastructure.
Facilities like laboratories, libraries, digital classrooms, Wi-Fi, and canteens are available in our department. Hostel rooms contain Wi-Fi, table, chair, etc. Wonderful Buildings. Well designed ACADEMIC BUILDINGS.Classes are super clean and sanitized. NIT Silchar stood 6th in India in Environment friendly campus. The outside view from the balcony is very beautiful, but the view from the hostel terrace is exceptional.
NIT Silchar also has the largest digital in Asia named after former President Bharat Ratna APJ Abdul Kalam. It is also the largest library among all the NITs, IITs and GFTIs in India. It was inaugurated on the occasion of 55th Teachers day (5th September 2016), by the then Chief Minister of Assam, Sri Sarbananda Sonwal.
The most important part of our college is its technical and cultural fests of NIT Silchar. Incandescence is the annual cultural fest of NIT Silchar. It is one of the most awaited events of the college. Darshan Raval, Gajendra Verma, and Rahat Indori also sparkled the incandescence night in recent years.

Electrical Engineering in NIT Silchar is one of the Finest among every other branch and I would rate it 8/10. I must tell you that the Placements here for EED is second highest 😌✌🏻 of about 52 LPA. All the Best✨

Absolutely! Don't listen to rumors. NIT Silchar is safe for girls. Girls are given good security like in other colleges. Don't worry!. Btw Congratulations to your sister ✨

Its very nice...one of the oldest branch of NIT Silchar....Placement in IT Job is also nice...you may have to prepare well for a core job...!!

@@parthabhuyan8125 EIE bohot accha branch hai bhai....CSE aur ECE ke baad sabse jyaada placement EIE ka hi hota hai. Plus EIE se GATE dena easy hota hai. Apne college mein EIE mein syllabus load bhi thora kum hai. Chill hai poora. Tech Father ke contact mein rehna....sab chill hoga..You Won't Regret..!! Best Of Luck for the College Life..!!
