Correction for accuracy and transparency- Marco Muzzo is currently living at a community facility while working at his families businesses. He was defended by Brian Greenspan (one of the most prominent defence lawyers in Canada). Muzzo was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but served a 1/3 of that. As MADD notes "The short sentences imposed in some cases of impaired driving causing death or bodily harm, the generous credit given for pre-conviction imprisonment and the fact that many of these offenders are paroled after serving only one-third of their sentence has generated controversy and angered victims of impaired driving." In other words, variable sentencing is the focus, while rehabilitation and restitution are not.

Yes that but does underestimate the ability of the mental health system to push people to suicide because this Ed was receiving so called help which involves hooking people on dangerous pills he was also tasered by police.
I totally understand why he did it, every father who loves his children will. The justice he sought in court would have sustained him for a while, but after that, even if he tried to move on, re-marry, even have more kids etc, none of that could assauge the loss. 10 years..? Our country is such a joke. Why are accountability and individual responsibility cast aside so we can get a false sense of empathy and compassion. I'm embarrassed to be Canadian with how we let people like this, rapists, murders etc off with joke sentences. It doesnt make us morally virtuous to hand out these sentences. If you dont want people to drink and drive you might not wanna give a guy 10 years for killing 3 children and an adult. Canada is such an embarrassment with the disingenuous wokeness and lack of accountability for horrible offences.
Canadian laws are so freakin soft when it comes to these situations and it SHOULDN’T. Drunk driving should be considered intentional considering how intentional the acts are leading up to the event and the reasoning. This story is so horrific, sad and depressing. I’m truly praying for the woman because I don’t understand how one person can take all of this😔😔😔😔
Murderer got out last year, accident occurred in 2015, so served 6 years, for killing 4 people.. Laws need to change. He was a rich guy who flew back from bachelor party, got in his vehicle and drove home from airport, he had money, he could have gotten a car service. Someone should have taken care of him in prison, thought they didn’t like dudes that hurt kids, he killed 3 kids plus their grandfather, he had money so again probably paid his way out of that too. The whole of Canada should be embarrassed. No mandatory minimum for drunk driving causing death? If there is it needs to be raised so loosers like this have to serve more than 1.5 years for each life he took. Disgusting.
10 years?! That's it?! For killing 3 children? It's so easy to not drink and drive, so incredibly easy. Sleep in your vehicle, sleep on the floor of whatever place, sleep on the ground, get a taxi, call someone. It's just a sure fire marker of a selfish POS. Drunk or not, I have always had the awareness to know not to drive drunk. 3 children, and he should be charged with the death of the father as well.
Absolute tragedy! I can’t even begin to comprehend (and I hope I never do) the immense trauma the Neville-Lake family have had to endure. I’m not a religious man but I hope that Ed has found peace at last.
They’d be 16, 12 and 9 years old but instead they were killed at 9, 5 and 2 and murderer was free 6 years later. I think I might join MADD and see what can be done to raise mandatory minimums for drunk driving causing death. Canada we should all be embarrassed.
Good luck. The judges are all drunk drivers too so they won't pass laws that can harm themselves. DUIs are soft in almost every country for this reason. Too much corruption.
drunks never get the conviction they deserve. They chose to drink so they shouldn't get to choose the consequences. Uber is everywhere, there is no excuse to DUI.

Selfish and delusional people ... hey they got to have their fun no matter if it kills others .
@jimmy ya, they always drive the biggest vehicles to be "safe" cause they know they're gonna DUI again. I used the HOV lane every day for 5 years before I got caught. This wasn't his first DUI.
The absence of the children in home broke him. Not hearing their child voices and not feeling their energy during playtime in the front room and the house just dead quiet just tore him apart. 😔
That's what it means to be rich ,you get away with crime!! Killing 4 people and getting 10 years and out of that " time out " I don't believe he did any real prison time !!!! He did only a third ????????? So the children and a father a grandfather, their life only worth 1 year off punishment!!??
Depends on where you live now because look at what people in towns like San Francisco are getting away with ... they knew they could steal roughly $900 worth of merchandise in the stores and not getting any trouble and so guess what now a bunch of drugstores like CVS are gone and there's areas and a number of people really relied on those stores ... but they closed down from wolf packs of people coming and stealing all at once in large numbers you can look for the videos of it .
And because of those crazy thieves more and more items were put behind the locked glass and it was harder for honest people just to shop and buy things because they couldn't always get the clerk to help them . Meanwhile the thieves were just grabbing everything they could and then just going out the door because the guards were not supposed to touch them and the police also knew not to go after them .... it's hard to believe but it happened
@@iTzYoMasterXX Blows my mind how he probably had friends that let him go out the door like that ... knowing how drunk he was instead of trying to stop him or send him home in an Uber or let him sleep on their couch .

He got 17 years with credit for the time he sat in prison awaiting trial…so he is serving 15. He had several previous infractions charged against him for driving under the influence of drugs. Marco Muzzo pled guilty for his crime of driving intoxicated and ramming his SUV into the van driven by Mrs Lake’s father killing him and his 3 grandchildren and severely injuring his wife and mother. Marco Muzzo also had driving infractions while intoxicated. He got out on $1 million dollar bail while he awaited trial where he pled guilty and got 10 years and he served 4 and got a full parole. Beyond tragic, can't believe he only got a ten yr sentence for murdering four people three of them children.
I can never forget this accident … till this day it haunts me 😭 … now the father ☹️

killed 3 kids and a grandpa and only got 10 years? the judge needs a slapping
The judge probably drove drunk before, that's why. People's outlook change when they themselves have done the same thing.
@@JDintheDMV Bingo. And that's why there'll never be stricter laws against DUIs. Too many corrupt people in power who do the same thing.
Correction Marco is no longer living @ a half way house he is out on full parole now.
What are his families businesses
Construction and drywall.
Name of the judge who gave the billionaire full parole?
@@michaelngfinance judges don’t give parole that decision was made by the parole board.
My heart bleeds for this family! The poor mother left all alone. May she find peace
Bless his broken heart Lord, for he has come on bended knee for answers.
So terribly sorry for his wife, who gets more unbelievable news.
This is a terrible day, in what’s becoming a terrible world.
Wow....how deceitful the MSM is. This episode pretends to be supporting the Lake family. But notice how he reporter says that the drunk driver got a TEN year sentence, but never said that he was released early and is already enjoying life outside of prison. That was a very important point to have mentioned in this report.
Gone to heaven to see his family
If you believe in heaven the father went to hell because he commit suicide.

HOW COULD THE PAROL BOARD SLEEP AT NIGHT AND THE SENTENCE WAS A JOKE....
He got 10 years for killing three people. That's a slap in the face of the victims
He killed 5 people... the 3 children, the grandfather, and ultimately the father...
Edward, may you transition peacefully.
another death caused by Marco. I have always held a spot in my heart for the Neville lake family, and Ed's loss, although not a surprise is very sad. I pray that Jennifer finds the help she needs to overcome this so she doesn't go down the same path. what horrible news, rest easy ed
funny Global didn't mention Muzzo got out on full parole couple months ago..... yet another sin on this poor family's soul.......
@@miakmo59 and wanted his right back to drive so he could "visit his family". right... more like the "family" at his local bar.
OMG... this is just soooo horribly tragic... now this poor mother is left alone in her never-ending grief.
10 years in jail that’s it I would have waited them 7 years he was going to do then killed him and turned myself in
So does the driver get another life sentence? He gave the father an unlivable life which led to his eventual demise. But no, let's focus on rehabilitation. What an injustice.
Yes that but does underestimate the ability of the mental health system to push people to suicide because this Ed was receiving so called help which involves hooking people on dangerous pills he was also tasered by police.
Heartbreaking….
I remember this beautiful family and I’m so sorry to hear this tragic news.
I totally understand why he did it, every father who loves his children will. The justice he sought in court would have sustained him for a while, but after that, even if he tried to move on, re-marry, even have more kids etc, none of that could assauge the loss. I can't even imagine losing one child, losing three in one moment.... nope.
Btw what is the status of the civil lawsuit against Muzzo?
OMG... I am so sad for this man who suffered so much for 7 years....They were such beautiful children...... I hope the relatives will find peace somehow........R. I. P......!!!!
This is why alcohol consumption is strictly forbidden in Islam. Prevention is better than solution.
I wish this tragedy never happened. That beautiful family did not deserve this. Poor Jennifer her life has turned into a direction that no one would ever wish for.
This is just beyond sad. Muzzo has killed 4 people now. And while Jennifer has had grief and tragedy piled up on her, muzzo is walking free enjoying his entitled life. This is just so wrong.
5 people
What kind of justice is that...
One can kill another and be in jail for 10-20 years and can be free...
Such a shame...he killed three innocent and he's still alive...why don't sentence him to death.
My heart breaks for his torture and grief. Time did not soften his hurt. All of the family continues to suffer. He is blessed now in Gods' hands and the welcome love of his children.
Brian Greenspan is his lawyer. Google his address.
I’m truly praying for the woman because I don’t understand how one person can take all of this😔😔😔😔
Drunk driver's are murderer's. Either they've murdered someone or haven't murdered someone... YET. The most disgusting part is that Muzzo walks free.
The most disgusting part is that it's being considered to allow him to move back to that area.
Nonsense
@@alanmark8452 Oh look everyone, we found a drunk driver.
That's because the Canadian judicial system cannot distinguish alcohol from milk
@@shawnpitman876 Nonsense again

How much pain can this family endure? Very sad to hear this. RIP
God bless their family! Terrible!
No you're only reporting on his death because sad stories sell not because the news cares
Why wasnt the guilty sentenced to death by stoning?
Disgusting.
probably more like 2.5 years including bail, parole, etc. Marco got nothing cause when you have $$$ you can pay the system off.
10 years?!
He should be arrested and sentenced to at least 20 years for each death at least without the chance for parole.
Absolute tragedy! I can’t even begin to comprehend (and I hope I never do) the immense trauma the Neville-Lake family have had to endure. I’m not a religious man but I hope that Ed has found peace at last.
Absolutely heartbreaking. Muzzo living a charmed life while the pain of the Neville and Lake families will never end. So very sad.
Never understood why suicide is illegal. There should at least be suicide with explanation. Tragic. Except for the previous words I have no words.
Marco all this blood on your hands, how do you feel??
They’d be 16, 12 and 9 years old but instead they were killed at 9, 5 and 2 and murderer was free 6 years later. I think I might join MADD and see what can be done to raise mandatory minimums for drunk driving causing death. Canada we should all be embarrassed.
Good luck. The judges are all drunk drivers too so they won't pass laws that can harm themselves. DUIs are soft in almost every country for this reason. Too much corruption.
Honestly, this is so sad. I think Marco is out and free, crazy how the system works when you come from a family with money. Just sad.
drunks never get the conviction they deserve. They chose to drink so they shouldn't get to choose the consequences. Uber is everywhere, there is no excuse to DUI.
Omg this has to be one of the most awful things I’ve ever heard and I’ve lived a long time. How awful that a mother loses her 3 children and then has to endure the pain after the death of her husband like this. Unbearable 😪😪
No justice for this poor family.
10 years for willingly getting behind the wheel and ending those poor kids lives
Killed by a drunk driver? You should said Marco Ruzzo a drunk driver.
$$$$$$$$ The rich boyveh.
That drunk driver should be in prisonfor 60000 years
Leaving Mom behind to grieve alone
OMG.... I hope she will take all this in her stride...... if possible.....!!!!!
The recently split up as well. Such a tremendous loss
How does one change the rules for harsher sentences. Looks like the Canadian judicial system cannot distinguish alcohol from milk
Absolutely terrible, cannot imagine losing a family member let alone all 3 kids and a father to a drunk. Drunk drivers need necking!!!
Jennifer is incredibly strong. I am so sorry for another loss. For Ed may you rest in Paradise with your four angles yes they were pregnant the year the kids were killed and they lost that baby as well...sending healing energy to this family
I am so sorry, RIP with your children.
I couldn’t imagine the pure amount of suffering that man endured for 7 years. I could tell you now - my daughter was taken from me.. I wouldn’t be able to handle that long.
I’m not religious- and we have no idea what actually happens when we go, but I do hope that IF there is SOMETHING. He’s there with his babies.
More heartbreak for this poor family. 💔
Sad sad sad .
Disgusted with people who have to put drinking and their fun over the lives of others because they think they can handle it ... most cars weigh at least 2,000 pounds and some more than that .
They get behind a 2,000 lb projectile and think everything's going to be cool after getting LIQUORED UP .
@jimmy corollas is 2800lbs. Idk what SUV he was in but likely 4600lbs or so if it was a bigger one like a Cadillac.
The absence of the children in home broke him. Not hearing their child voices and not feeling their energy during playtime in the front room and the house just dead quiet just tore him apart. 😔
Marco Muzzo is a monster. He destroyed that family.
If money can't bring back deceased loved ones, then money shouldn't let you off the hook for your crimes....
Life in prison for Marco Muzzo.
Muzzo didn't suffer much...and tell the truth - how much of ten years did this clown actually spend incarcerated?
That's what it means to be rich ,you get away with crime!! Killing 4 people and getting 10 years and out of that " time out " I don't believe he did any real prison time !!!! He did only a third ????????? So the children and a father a grandfather, their life only worth 1 year off punishment!!??
Omg terrible, I couldn’t bare that pain myself
and then the guy only got 10 years. but if someone steals some bubble gum they crack them in the head. it just don't make no sense
He'll get out in 5.
@@iTzYoMasterXX he was actually granted full parole last year
@@iTzYoMasterXX Blows my mind how he probably had friends that let him go out the door like that ... knowing how drunk he was instead of trying to stop him or send him home in an Uber or let him sleep on their couch .
So tragic... No words can explain the pain of loosing children... And by a wealthy monster...
Jennifer also lost her unborn baby with this devastation. Monster Muzo killed 6 lives that day.
Last year Brady Robertson pled guilty to killing a mother and her three daughters when he drove his car into their SUV while under the influence of drugs. There is no difference on the impact this has had on the two surviving families but the biggest difference that stands out to me is the different sentencing. I guess if you have $$$ then you get a slap on the wrist and you can continue living your entitled life.
The judge and prosecutor should be in prison for life
No lmao
They system failed those children, but not muzzo. I like the USA system where he would have got what was coming 50 in jail. Canada is a joke. Police the Police and all government employees and Marco muzzo 📸
The poor man went through such hell, he is in peace now Drunk drivers just don’t kill once, their actions continue to have consequences forever.
Muzzo should still be in prison
The justice system failed this beautiful this family.
Muzzo should have been put in prison
for 25 years. He is out free.Drunk drivers get away with murder.
Send my heart felt sympathy to His Wife.
What a sin...that poor man. How is Mrs Lake doing? This is just devastating.
What's sad is, the drunk driver, Marco Muzzo, is out and about living his life like nothing happened.
just utterly incredible that osme people in the comments are trying to make excuses for this muzzo guy (and about how little outrage there is at him compared to if it were certain other people)
That's 5 lives he's taken now
This is crushing.
The problem with DUI is thathe inebriatedriver does not realize s/he is inebriated. Were the children in seat-belts or child safety seats?
In EMS I have seen accidental collisions by totally sober drivers which were just like those caused by drunk drivers. So we need to protect ourselves from both.
How sad for the wife that her "husband" did not remain alive to help her and support her. Or was divorce an unmentioned issue?
10 years for killing 4 while drunk? Victims all got life. That poor wife and mother, left to cope. She could use a GoFundMe, at least.
