As old classical music lover and keen student learned under great musicologist Prof.Deodhar in 1960s 1970s,let me tell you that in original classical Hindustani music we did not had Tivra Madhyam. We had only Suddha Madhyam in our 22 shrutis. Late on in 18th century we imported this from middle east perticularly from may be Arabic music or from Afghanistan or central Asia,which followed same or likely Sur Patters like our HindustaniClassicalmusic. In early 19 th century Ustad used to throw hammer to students who used Tivra Madhyam. Later on after 1950 and 1960 it became part of our Surs. Ustad Vilayatkhan has mentioned to me in 1967 in personal talk with him. This is purely Academics,but used in lots of composition by our musicologist and film composers. Good work you are doing. Shankar Singh Raghuwanshi - undoubtedly, the finest song composer ever in Indian films. Period.
Also Jaikishen...considered as the most talented by most of their fans...but Laxmikant Pyarelal were of the same league as SJ...these four musicians were the greatest in hindi film industry...but Ar Rehman is greatest ever film music composer in history of India...
I am really sorry to say but composting S.J and L.P with A.R Raaman is Disrespecting them. U comparing flowers having different fragrances.
@@RohitKataria i have so much for SJ and LP...i am a great fan of SJ... absolutely mad about their music...i just wanted to give my opinion about the greatest ever..the only one who ruled both Bollywood and Tollywood...
Shashibhushan Hegde ji, both Shankar ji and Jaikishan ji were legends. I mean to say both were equally superb. In fact it was teamwork .
Rohit Kataria has single-handedly popularised Indian Claasical music. His in-depth knowledge and skilful singing has made it fun to listen to ragas. Great job.
He’s the first Music Guru who has gone so deep in detail in analyzing Indian film songs based on classical RAAGS. What a wonderful job Rohit Kataria is doing !
