Great video, as the daughter of a neglectful narcissist mother I have struggled to access anger too for the entirety of my life. I am beginning to explore boundaries now, and when my sense of injustice against myself is activated, it's getting less clunky as I respond. I think, conversely, feeling emotions and allowing them is the only way to emotional stability. It doesn't seem so at first, but we have to keep at it, and we will become more effective.
I wholeheartedly agree. A year of therapy got me very angry and opened new doors within me. At first, i was explosive because all the things i had "accepted" (given up on changing) but now im learning how to balance setting boundaries early on to avoid my own emotional buildup. Thank you for the video ❤ subbed
Parents and adults who were raised this way are considered “mature” if they are winning (ie. things go their way at the expense of those who they’ve conditioned to be weaker and helpless than them.) Because they’ve put up with suffering , which is the “right way”. As soon as those weak and helpless people stand up for themselves, their fragile egos cannot handle that because being challenged might as well be a threat to them.

@@nb.thoughtdaughter Sometimes, some will have to learn the hard way when they lose their loved ones through death or being cut out permanently. It is such an excruciating and lonely lesson to learn, especially when you're up in age. The regret and remorse for the lost time and what could have been can last until death or they will double down on denial and lie to themselves.
Hey I really appreciated this video. I took notes on some things that really resonated. On another note, are you okay? When you made a comment about maybe making a video if you live long enough worried me a bit that maybe you’re hurting in a really big way. I hope you’re doing okay. The wisdom is this video is needed in this world.
hello and thank you for listening! i am sorry for causing any concern but it was the reality of what i did face at such a tender age (my coping mechanism is making a mockery out of my own misery 😅) here's to recovery 🧱
If it's about raising awareness of sex workers, then what about sex workers' rights for protection against STD's and for decent work hours, with eight hours work, eight hours rest and eight hours sleep. Basic workers rights are lacking in this case, another example of why sex work should be legalised so that it can be thoroughly regulated and unionised.
highly agree on unionization since sex work has been depicted (and is only so far from reality) as one of the few fields of work more prone to abuse. it's not as concrete as a set 9-5, testing the limits of your whole body...what more behind closed doors
This is such a remarkable exploration. Thanks for sharing all of your thoughts. So relevant and such an important conversation, especially for women right now 🩷
