    I stumbled across this video completely on accident and after the huge amount of information presented I am pretty sure a vpin will be my next game room project. Thanks for showing your builds in such detail.

    Awesome video shucking this oyster! I'm so hesitant to cut the plastic in case I need to reassemble for a warranty claim. Any chance you could tell me the width measurement of it after being shucked? I'd like to see if it will fit in my cab. Thx

      Go for it. The C3 LG OLED's are on sale for $899 now Black Friday, $1149 regular price. On the 42 inch C3 you don't have to cut the side, so you can have it as deep as you want. Just router a channel and slide it in form the back. Just barley have to router out maybe 1/2 inch on one side.

    Wondering how well this turned out in the end. Not sure about the ChatGPT and a full 7.1 system... Seems like a lot of excess heat. I'm planning a build that will use accelerometers and solenoids. Probably a decent 25-50W 2.1 amp for stereo sound 25W/25W and a sub (50W). I 100000% agree with your TV purchase! Thanks for the video!

      I do agree the 7.1 is too heavy and big. This one turned out great and it's in someones living room now (a friend). I'm going with smaller amps now and the Cleveland Software all in one Plunger Accell kit for $159. it also supplies 5v buttoins and 2 selenoids. You do need 8 channels to do the sound right. two 4 channel amps will work or a 6 and 2 i.ytimg.com/an_webp/yWKsl140Uyo/mqdefault_6s.webp?du=3000&sqp=CPaW1q8G&rs=AOn4CLA2nqj9Ky7NScu1ViclV5vRA8krvg

    Nice video, to your knowledge do you have to change the psu to handle the 4k card

      No, Chat GPT will tell you if he PC is fast enough. A good PSU is good to have, but 700+

    What's an estimated cost, within the US, for a 30in main playfield model? We have tons of VPTs.. so would want to have our full rom set installed as part of a build.

    Pretty interesting stuff you could use tpa3116d2 amplifier boards instead of that bulky receiver the power from those little boards will surprise you could also get a 2.1 version and used a cheap home theater subwoofer from goodwill.

    Love your spirit in this video dude. For next build you should consider (1) don’t lower the cut deeper in the front than the back. It kills immersion. Keep it the same flush mount. Trust me it nails immersion. (2) go for realism exact replica vpin. So lose the spacer between the lockbar and the screen. I’m here to help if you need anything. I did my vpin as described. It’s an exact replica of a modern Stern 22” standard width cab with embedded decased. 4k 43” Asus ROG 144hz monitor

      @tijulesreveur 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@VirtualPinballMachines Thank you. I'm building the cab and I could have a bargain on the 48 oled. But I'm afraid that it might be too big. And that it might not be easy to find a fitting lockbar.

    • @VirtualPinballMachines
      @VirtualPinballMachines  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tijulesreveur a standard bar is 22 and a widebody bar is 23.5 inches. If you cut the screen in it will probably fit a 48...haven't tried it yet.

      if you cut it into the wood like I did I think a wide body lockdown bar will work Its 23.5 inches @@tijulesreveur

    • @tijulesreveur
      @tijulesreveur 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@VirtualPinballMachines Thanks. The frame of a 48" is 24.3 inches of height. Maybe with a 25" lockbar and doing like you did. I don't know how much I can get without the frame. You can 3D print custom lockbar too, but it's plastic. But $500 for a 48C1 is tempting...😃

    I have a 60hz Samsung 43" and with the right settings its flawless. I dont see any ball stutter. The stutter comes from the emulation usually.
    I agree a 120hz will be smoother overall but not as much as one would think especially because the cost 2-3x as much.
    I have built both and was surprised by my findings.
    A cheapo 60hz 43" TV without Game Mode or something I have seen major issues but if you stick to Sony, Samsung etc. you can pull it off with a 60hz..

    • @ferrellsl
      @ferrellsl ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, it doesn't matter how how high your playfield's refresh rate is if you have a weak CPU/GPU combination. I have a 4K 60Hz setup as well and it plays flawlessly. I'm using a GTX 1080 for my GPU and an Intel i7 -7440 CPU.
