A girl I work with uses it and loves it, but she has really thin hair...I have crazy thick coarse curly hair. She tried to put my hair up with it and couldn't at all lol
The answer is no, this thing does NOT work. 😂😂😂 I wasted $40 on this crap and it doesnt hold my hair for crap. Might work better for people with thick hair, but fine hair doesn't work well at all.
I always feel like the cute hairstyles you see on the internet just do not work for everyday wear. Securing a loose bun with 10 bobby pins? Nope, slips right out as soon as I walk doen the stairs. Nice half up half down? Hair gets in my face everytime I have to pick something off the floor at work. I rock the same 3 styles every day of every week because I just can't have any loose hair while working. I either do a bun, high pony tail or braid and always secure it nice and tight with a scrunchie.

I’m in Canada and I 100% remember the Bumpit infomercials! They were amazing. I still have a few in my hair toy collection but I haven’t used them in years. From what I remembered, they actually did do what they promised in the infomercial.
I bought the combo pack of the Pony-O, Pony-O 2.0 and the Bun Bar. I, too, was tempted by Instagram ads to buy this product! They take a little practice to use, but they do work. The really cool thing about the bun bar is that not only is it really easy to use, but you don't even need any bobby pins or clips to hold your bun in place because your hair is rolled in a way that is securing the style on its own, if that makes sense. I have long hair and I was worried that the bun bar wouldn't work, but it does and you can even manipulate the bun to look really big and full. If you go on their website you'll see that they have a lot of colors and designs for the Pony-O. I'm probably going to buy some more.
I have a pony-o and the bun bar. The pony-o is fantastic but their bun bar is junk! I'm currently wearing the pony-o and I can wear it for 8 hours and it doesn't budge! My hair is halfway down my back and not quite a medium thickness (but not thin either) I don't get the sore spot on my scalp as I would with a regular hair elastic either. There is a learning curve and once you get the correct way to put it in and adjust it, it's amazing!
One hundred percent agree. I bought mine at a Trade Show like ten years ago. It takes a lot of practice, but once you get it down it's one of the coolest hair tools.
@@DreaLS I've also found that after a handful of times using it, it softens up a bit which makes it easier to bend and shape. Once it was broke in it noticed that it held my hair tighter than the first few times I used it!

It makes such an amazing ponytail for girls who don’t know how to do hair.

Mine eventually wouldn't bend as well over time so I stopped using it (definitely didn't store it properly either). I'm not sure if it was the same product pre-patent or what but I did really like it!

I have the classic, 2.0, and bun bar I was skeptical the first time of spending that much on ponytail holders but I ended up liking the classic and 2.0 they did what they promise held all day, made my thin hair look thicker, and didn't damage it. The only other thing that holds my hair are invisabobbles though they do make my thin hair look even thinner. The bun bar ended up being too hard to figure out how to use so I make buns by creating a ponytail with the thicker size and wrapping my hair around it and pinning it. As to the pulling and it loosening they do show that it does loosen it on their website tutorials and to do some tug thing to make sure it's secure instead.

I have thin and fine hair and get migraines. I don't like normal pony tail holders because they rip out my hair and cause breakage. I also like a tight pony but then that gives me migraines. The Pony O absolutely works but might take some trial and error on each kind of hair. I most commonly use it for a pony. To make it look nicer for an office setting, I wrap a strand of hair around it. I also braid my hair and then wrap it around for a braided bun. It does make it look like I have more hair. I also sleep with it in because it doesn't get in the way of sleeping, is very comfortable and it keeps my hair from getting all tangled at the bottom when I sleep. Haven't tried any other styles, mostly cuz I'm lazy. 😁

I'll stick to the Goody ouchless elastics! I have thick, wavy hair down to middle of my back. That thing would never hold my hair, especially for work where a bun is required! As it is I need 2 elastics for all day hold! Lol!
You are lucky! I require 6 to hold my waist length hair in a fairly loose and messy bun! My stylist always says she LOVES when i come in, cus she gets to play with LOTS of hair! Ha ha! I get it thinned about every 3 mos. Even with thinning i need about 4 to hold my bun. I have fairly straight hair,but it is very thick
I bought a bunch of these and it DID take me a few goes to figure it out. I love them. At first I couldn't get it to work, but now that I have, I haven't worn a hairtie since. Also, when you wanna "fan" the hair, you need to pull it gently from the band. You cant do the fan. You have to pull a straight up.
