This has always been one of my favourite Drake songs, but I am only now finding out that it was written in 2002, when he was so young. 😮 He's even more talented than I thought.
😢Knowing this is about the abuse and this is the time period it was happening to Drake 😭 1:00 ((Hugs)) ... I'm glad you are healing now Drake, you didn't deserve any of this and I hope you knows it wasn't your fault and how incredibly talented you are (before, during, after the abuse and while healing).
He was already great! So young but already capable of an absolute depth, into which he channeled his intense sensitivity and his lived experience. His soul as an artist was already all there, but he always applied himself to music with humility and dedication, like only true Artists do!
This live show concert back in 2002 with Drake Bell was so good and I hope that song better not be so sad for me because I just wanna enjoy him singing.
No Backhouse yet. In 1999-2003 Drake was performing with his band that used to be called "Drake 24/7" and later they changed the name to "The Drake Bell Band" (that's all I know)
@@underratedrakebell when did he start working with Mike? Because in the credits to those songs in Telegraph I think they mention Corcoran even though it was done with his old band🤔
@@idan3521 I could imagine that the ideas for the changes to Somehow came from Backhouse Mike. In this video there's no lines for the bridge part, some of the melody is sung differently in the chorus and the end part has no lyrics either.

Seeing this now, being performed before Brian got arrested makes it so much more gut wrenching. 😢
There’s a rawness and an edge to this performance, at this point in time I assume no one knew what he had been going through which is just 😢
Jesus that thought is just heartbreaking.
