Mike McCardell Manure from dairy farms aint that bad, hog manure is worse. My wife cant understand how I can sit there and eat lunch while hauling hog manure, yet I cant even be near a baby diaper.

I have been around dairy farms all my life here in Australia the poo pit is very very small compared to the one you are emptying . The cows here dont stay inside they are outside all year round as we dont have snow except up in the mountains .

It's also kinda educationa,even tho it was one of the most simple jobs,it was shown all into details how it's done. Cool to see how you fill up manure tanks over there as we in the Netherlands do that way different. Are tanks have a vacuüm pump on them so they can fill up there selfs so you dont need an extra tractor. Also we dont spray our manure here but we must inject it in to the ground to reduce gasses escape in to the air. For anybody that has NEVER Hauled Manure...this is the Most NEVER Ending Job on a Dairy Farm besides the Daily Everyday Chores. Your Manure Pits are NOT Small Ones. Multiple Music Playlist are a MUST! My Favorite Sodas are Coke, Sunkist, Canada Dry Ginger Ale, & Occasionally a Dr Pepper. I was NEVER into Energy Drinks. Favorite Tractor Snacks are Jerky, Graham & Ritz Crackers, BBQ Chips, Doritos, & Life Savers Mints. Oh & Your Moms Pulled Pork Burritos Looked Delicious!
Really enjoying the field work vids. Been mowing and working on a broke lift arm today. Been burning down some and harrowing some peanut land but not really going at it yet. Going to all start burning down,stripping aka Laying off rows,and planting cotton tom. Got little less than 3000 acres to get across w majority cotton but peanuts also and maybe a little beans. Not sure what acres of which crop yet because of weather mainly and total acres because we have a lot of new ground that has been and we still are clearing. Most of this year I will be running the strip till laying off rows until caught up or finished and can get on the track hoe to get back to clearing. BTW camo matches everything and girls in camo are way prettier and smarter than the reggies for all the haters out there

We haven't used poo since 95 when grandpa sold the cows. But our neighbor does and honestly I can't wait till he does it love the smell. I never look at poop and think it smells I look at it like in the past and future it came from something that made some money and is now going towards making crops stronger bigger and more nutrition to feed or to sell. Also watch out for those door latches they come outta nowhere.

I would suggest putting a steel pipe barrier on the wall of the lagoon so the tractor doesn't back up too far and go over the edge of the lagoon while stirring the lagoons mixture to prevent clumps from forming and clogging the pump-out tube.
Just put a little rug like the one you have in your bathroom in your cab and your legs will never get tired of sitting and all you have to do is shake the rug out. Fluffy rugs are awesome
Claudia , I think you need to stick with anything that requires a tractor and equipment . I think your heart is in doing field work , which is really cool .
