You are right when you mentioned clean no cracked dashes. I just picked up an 86 D250 and I was shocked to see its dash so straight. I'm used to square body chevys full of cracks like my 83 C10s dash was after I "fixed it".... with a dash cover lol

Brandon LS Fruth, he's the guy that makes the tubular uppers and also the sleeve for the lower control arm pivot bolt so you can use the original bolt without having to drill the frame for the larger B-series LCA. He is in Virginia, and there's a substantial wait time on the uppers. Mine was 6 mos from order placement to delivery.
Just came across your channel , now subscribered , this truck , with the rear end flipped , is the filler for the rear end gear oil too low to get enough gear oil in it ? Also how did you mount the rear end vent tube and brake line set up ? I am gonna check out some of the rest of your videos. Thanks...
Thanks for subbing. Your not really flipping the axle over your just moving the axle from under the leaf springs to over them. The fill is located in the same location. All brake lines and vent tube will also be in all the same.
lol what spring perch did u use … the part that goes between leaf spring and the axle. So I used a new spring perch and used the middle hole and then the drive shaft was too long and couldn’t bolt it up … pull it all back apart put it in the fwd hole and got the driveshaft bolted up and a mile down the road drive shaft fell out lol and new u joints and required it… so which one and way did u go with thanks
I got an 88 ram ramcharger 2 wheel drive and looking to put 17s from a 2003 . Is there adapters for doing so? Also plan on lowering like you did on that D150. Mine is a 100. Thanks
The offset of the 03 wheel will be different so you will need to run 2 inch spacers on front and 1-1/12 on rear. Or you can have the center of the wheel hub opened up by a machine shop to increase the size to 3.54 inchs. Or both your call.
Hey quick question …. Does the flip kit actually take away the use of towing anything or loading the bed with stuff… cause I hear that installing drop shackles will get u the same amount lowering but still be able to load the bed jw have you or know someone that has tried it… thanks I’m in okc ok and looking for more truck parts if you know the way to reach the el reno auto shop thanks again
Well, with you will only lower the rear 2 inches. You can still haul stuff with just those but one you do a axle flip that drops the rear 6 inches. So with the flip and shackles you would need to do a c notch to the frame for towing heavy stuff. Light work is fine.
One last question I just order 15x10 for my truck it’s the same as in the video I have 15x8 in the front with 235/75/15 and I want the same wires on the back as the wheels that’s were on the truck in the start of the video and ideas on size for the back of mine I like how that trucks stand was
@@danielstockwell4095 i would think you will still want like a 265/75. if you go smaller in total tire height you will effect the accuracy of the speedometer.
So I test drove the truck for like a block or so after flip kit no issues … now my rear end u joints that are brand new just fell out and the bolts were tightened and now it’s all welded 😢…. So the original u joint fell out so I thought maybe it’s the wrong size since the truck came in pieces … what experiences have u had with wrong pinion angle ? Or wrong u joints cause I’m in a pickle lol and the side welded the shit out of the stuff
Dang. It is possible you had the wrong U-joints. I think the 727 and 904 use differnt ones. But its based on your outside diameter yoke span. Wrong Pinion angle can cause vibrations and binding in the driveshaft which could damage to the transmisson and rear diff.

@user-hs4vf8mx4x yea that would work to do that. But you get less wheel options on 5x5.5 then you do with your current bolt pattern. You have to run 2 inch spacers with the factory 20 spares anyways so I would just het space adapters to run them instead of trying to change the bolt pattern.

No problema. Siempre estoy feliz de ayudar donde puedo. Con los brazos de control inferiores B150 no necesitará modificar los resortes. Las únicas modificaciones requeridas son agregar los orificios de montaje para la varilla del puntal, cortar los topes de dirección y recortar los topes de tope. Puedes usar un amortiguador de fábrica. El brazo de control inferior b150 no cambia la geometría de la suspensión, solo mueve el bolsillo del resorte hacia abajo 2 pulgadas. Avísame si tienes más preguntas.

Damn, Glad I got some uppers when I did. I worked with him on a couple projects but Im not on facebook anymore and lost contact with him. He helped me get my gauge panels off the ground and been making custom gauge panels for our trucks for the past 2 years now.
if you dont lower it with a proper lowering kit you end up pushing all the joints and geometry to their max at stance versus having that normal percentage of up and down travel your alwals maxed out and just destroying all that... there are companies that take and keep your natural geometry and travel by extending the lowering kit.. they cost more sure but ride better and last better.
I would normally agree with you. But..... there is no lowing kit for these trucks. Whe you lower these truck with van lower control arms your not stressing anything on the front as the van lower control arms actually move the spring down into a pocket 2 inches lower than the truck ones. All the ball joints and such for the most part all stay the same. Thanks for checking out the video.
@romuluscreative I mean yea if you wanna spend 1500 plus bucks for a complete front end swap sure. But there is no company that make drop springs, drop spindles, etc. You can use dakota parts, but again, it is more costly then the way I did it.

I got mine from speedway motors. But any 3 inch able perch will work. Glad you got your figured out. Those alignment holes can get ya for sure.

You should be able to run up to a 275 width on the rear it's tight but fits. 265 width if you wanna be on the safer side.
So like a 265 50 15?

You want to se your pinion angle with full weight on the truck can be in the air if you like.
GD! I got a 3rd gen, just got rid of my 4th gen to get a 5 gen. Both dropped, but I really am starting to feel these trucks. Good work on the D150.

Is it possible to lower a 78 3/4 ton pick up the same way? I cant find any info on 3/4 ton dodge pick ups.

Is necessary use the Dakota drop spindles? Or is just to correct the camber on it?
You don't have to but it is a correction for the camber. I have seen alot of people run them on these ole rigs with good results.

If your using B100 LCA stock shocks will work fine.

Those are 20x9 factory steel spare wheels from a 2003 up dodge ram truck.
Will the control arms also work on a ‘76 d100 or just the later ones?

How did you clear coat your red truck ?
i havent clear caoted it i have only cleaned and buffed what was already there. I will be giving my Black 81 the same treatment in an upcoming video.

What size spacers and tires are you running on the red d150?
You can use 2 inch spacers all the way around. Tires are 245/45/20

Cut the second bump stop off on the right side
