S11 now sold, she had had all mechanicals serviced and drives very well indeed with cold air and great brakes, all that remains is some leather and wood work and fix the rust which is not all that bad, overall a great project for the enthusiast. Happy driving.
A mark one Silver Shadow clearly made for the American market. Sadly looking very tired 😴 and un cared for. Will cost far more than the vehicle is worth, to try and bring it back to Rolls_Royce standards !..
This is not a MK1 Silver Shadow. It is a Series 2. The Series 1 has visual differences vents below the twin headlamps, chrome bumpers/fenders, chrome door handles, different rear light lenses. I think the Series 1 is visually more attractive. Especially the front with the vents the Series 2 looks bland. There is a difference mechanically between the Series 1 compared to the Series 2. According to Rolls-Royce publications there were over 2 thousand improvements in the Series 2. I agree to restore is far more than the car is worth sadly 🙄😢😪😭. I have a Bentley T11970 which is rare, compared to the Silver Shadow. It is claimed there were 35 thousand produced and only one thousand eight hundred Bentley's. I am told there are only 812 known to be registered in the world. These cars are a joy to drive and a nightmare to own. Money pits. I re- upholstered mine £10,400 or approx $13,000. I have restored my car over 14 years and covered 2,000 miles. I have spent in excess of £68,000 or approx $80,000. Crazy yes I know I am. In need of serious psychiatric help. 😮😊😅😂
