With 4 and one half felines here, I understand! lol. After years of keeping a surgical tweezers on my desk to pull hairs, I switched over to a Logitech remote keyboard with the built in touch pad. I do miss the Microsoft Ergo keyboard.
Brad, I hope you have a good New Year and you get a lot of use out of your new Dado blades. I checked my hives today and I have one dead out for sure and two weak hives so it looks like we will have some bees to play with next year.
WOW! Am I ever glad you overviewed the track ball, I just got a wireless one for $50, working on the mouse all day my right arm has major pain, hope this helps, good tip!
@@ThatBeeMan Yes, that's the model I got from Best Buy. I didn't bring my glasses and thought the price said $24.95 about had a heart attack when it run up as $49.95 at the register LOL
Ha Brad no dead that is good I went through mine yesterday and found 4 dead outs. With more to die. going in the 20s /30 for bout 10 days here the bee barn is good, the temp stay the same. I was looking at a guy this morning he has the stats for loss for this year in the U S or where he lives and he said the loss is 50% for this year. The idea on why the weather is. I don't know myself. I know the mites were knocked out they were strong going into the winter I thought they looked good. and now they are dead. Glad u had a good Christmas. Happy Newyear to u and your wonderful family.
Many of us sample for mite loads but the mites aren't the worst enemy, the viruses are. I'd encourage anyone to stay aware of their virus levels. Elevated virus levels is usually why the bees die even with low mite levels. Happy New Year. Thanks for watching!
@@ThatBeeMan U are very right it just takes 1 mite to kill a hive, And to my knowledge there is nothing I can do about it as a bee keeper. but treat treat treat treat. Trust me I do.
I hear ya! I've gone through about three of those track balls and I love them BUT, they don't last long due to the poor quality switches that are used on the buttons. I end up getting a year or a bit more out of each one. They aren't cheap, I just got tired of spending that money so regularly. @ThatBeeMan, sorry to hear that. I've had them in the office, print shop, machine shop and at home. They lasted for years. But to that durability point, I won't likely be using plastic or polly hives. My insulated Layens are plywood clad EPS. :)
@@iowalayensbeekeeping You've inspired me to try again. I've just ordered a new Logitech ERGO M575S. This is an updated version from what I was using so hopefully it will serve me longer. I bought the extended service from Amazon so if it does fail, I can just get a new one. Thanks for watching!
Im pretty sure we have the exact same dado set. If its the same one that i have, i really like using it, but i have had it kick back once, and i use ⅞" wood for my brood boxes so i need to make a ⅞" rabbit but it doesnt go that large lol.
Great to see live bees.
Thanks for watching, Brad!

It'll do almost 7/8". Drill some holes in a few playing cards and use those for shims. That'll get you to 7/8". Thanks for watching!
