Thanks Nikos and Ted for sharing the stunning Lancaster as it makes its presence known in beautiful blue sky's of bomber county with the sound of those Merlins
I get chills every time I see the Lancaster fly over Hamilton, Ontario. An absolute treat. Long may she fly and may God Bless all those who gave of themselves in service. ❤❤❤
Gets me everytime 😢 this aircraft. Just seems right don't it? Right back where it all started with Avro Lancasters. Like it's her home. Seen her recently at Duxford, same effect on me then.. hairs on end! Eyes fixed! Open my ears and listen. Its like she talks to us? If only she could talk.. What a stunner. Nikos, Ted thank you so much.. Enjoy that well earned rest with the rest of the Bear family, back in the West Country.. ❤ Fly on LEST WE FORGET!!
Oh if that aircraft could but speak.... what tales it would tell. You Sir have given it a voice today and cast it once again in it's shining light of glory through your lens.
My favourite WWII plane ever especially as she is based on RAF Coningsby every time she starts up her engines it is something else. Thank you Nikos and Ted for filming her flying over RAF Waddington this was truly something else and to know this is the base where the Lancaster Bomber Squadron No. 44 started. Nice one.
Always an absolute treat, to see the Lancaster, she's magnificent! Long may she continue to fly for centuries to come. Thoroughly enjoyed reading the very interesting and fascinating history info, attached to the video Ted, some of which I didn't know. Thank you.❤
As an ex-member of Number 44 (Rhodesia) Squadron I would like to remind everyone that that is the Squadron's correct title. A name bestowed upon it by the King in recognition of Rhodesia's contribution to the war effort and the fact that 25% of it's air and ground crews were Rhodesians. This title was given around the same time it received it's 1st Lancasters in 1941. Fulmina Regis Justa
Fantastic Ted!! The British Royal Air Force is the ONLY air force in the world to have an operational Avro Lancaster bomber officially still on it's books. Vera over in Canada is privately owned, which is why they can charge fare paying passengers, Our RAF cannot, as it's still an active military aircraft.
What an amazing sight! One of the many iconic achievements that helped defeat Nazi Germany. A very heartfelt thank you to all of the brave men who gave of themselves, some paying with their lives, to bring freedom in WII. Words are not enough!🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇸🇺🇸. From Michigan USA. Hello to Nickos and Ted❤
So moving to see the Lancaster back flying over RAF Waddington.
Great catch Ted and Nikos
Thanks Ellesee

Oiii oiii Dan, the very place the Lancaster began to operate
Living near Hamilton, ON in Canada I'm lucky enough to see the only other flying Lancaster a couple of times a year. Always cool to see it.

A wonderful and successful heavy bomber of the RAF. We are so fortunate to have one flying and for it to be home at RAF Coningsby.
Remember when we could see this every year at Waddington Airshow...much missed event. Great video. Enjoy your time in the West Country Ted and Nikos.

Still the best airplane from WW2
The dorsal turret has been moved back?
As cool as jets are. Nothing beats good ole WW2 prop radial engines.
