I'm VERY happy with my Mi 11 LIte 4G in America. (I could have gotten the 5G but it only supports one channel on T-Mobile. Plus my 5G OnePlus 9 overheated in the blink of an eye.)

While it may seem like they did something bad by "downgrading" the CPU, they in reality did everyone a favor. While the 780 chips had a bit more powerful GPU, they also produced a lot more heat, which in turn led to phones getting hot, being heavier and also thicker because of necessary cooling. The 780g chips were also harder to produce, especially now during the chip shortage. And while the 778g is a different CPU model, it still gives you the exact same performance while also drawing less power, which also means that they dont get as hot, and they dont draw as much battery. The only part where the 780g takes an obvious first place, is within GPU-heavy tasks, like gaming. Im pretty sure the 778G got the same GPU as the 780g, but its seriously downclocked to help with battery life and temperature, but that also leaves worse FPS in games. (NOTE: Im pretty sure that its ONLY the Mi11 lite 5g NE that has the downclocked GPU. I think that the Realme GT master 5G got the same CPU and GPU chip, but with the GPU running at full speed. This is why the GT master got a bit better gaming Score while Still having the exact same chip. Im not 100% sure if this is true, so do your own research if you want to be sure.) Im not saying that the778g CANT game, it without a doubt Still can game some pretty heavy games, its just not as good as the 780g. So in Short: The new 778g offers you better power consumption, cooler chip, smaller and lighter phone, with the exact same CPU performance as the 780g. Go for this phone if you dont do a lot of gaming and instead like to watch movies, take pictures or just social media. If you want to game, i would Still not recommend the normal Mi11 5G.
