I couldn't agree more. To be honest, I think generic cards have become quite strong lately, and I think their strength is a bit of a necessity. Plus, their very high prices due to their high rarity make me feel like they are secretly making It's difficult to enter the meta (or even casual game sometimes).
The good news is that multiple decks can get support, the bad news is that most decks want them. Supply and demand will always be a thing. Shrooms in Stoi and Bobal in Brandt, are really good examples or even G1 Mikani for Brandt/Dark States. G1 Mikani is like 12 per copy, Bobal is 5-7, Shrooms are anywhere from 3-13. It's really hard to make generics good while also keeping them fairly cheap, hell Inlet Pulse is only for Stoichea and it's a $20 card per copy. There's not really a solution imo due to the overall limited deck space, plus it incentivises whales since any card can become good with the right support which I don't think is good for the game long-term
Tbh I don’t think the cyclers are a problem, I get it when you say if one player draws 3 and the other only 1 there is some kind of advantage, but that’s where deck building comes into play, in some decks I don’t use them because I don’t feel them super necessary, and the deck can survive without them cause the way it’s built it just advances my game more, however, other decks must have at least 4 of 1 type because there is no way it survives without the hand advantage. I think generics are important, but strong generics should be printed in lower rarity because demand will just make them even more expensive, and also, they should get multiple reprints, as more decks come out, it gets harder to obtain those essential cards….
When u were listing off all the reasons why they aren’t a problem yet I was thinking that everything ur saying is already true. I’m pretty sure that order package with even the new g1 order cycler is the most optimal route when building all the meta keter decks now like rezael, luard and even ammorta
Sergaon seriously needs to be banned in Rezael. It's not funny anymore. Because Rezael can now pg 8 times maximum! With that amount of pg use, Sergaon shouldn't actually be allowed in Rezael.
@@stanstanminsonfrancisco8645 If you don't know. The new generic set order came out that call a RG that hasn't been attack to GC and after the Guard Step was over it will be bind! And it seems my calculation was wrong because with Liel in the deck Rezael can use more then 8 times pg.
@@kodokutamashi1569 oh k even if u do have the bind it wouldnt make razeal better .I think the main issue is not about getting the bind zone is about space for example if u run the generic minerva order and teithfall u cap your self on wanting to run x ,y,z and an extra pg in hand may not even be worth it at time do note u have to constantly keep using the bliz order so that u can use the pg . so at most u using it 2 times per game .Wasted deck space slow build up doesnt make it worth running liel ur better off using the blitz order that call up to 4 heals form drop

That might be the worst take I have seen today about accesibility for this game, the issue tight now is that new generic cards keep getting stronger and their print run is very limited. Something that would get even worse if VG returned to clans, I don't want to kill my local store with dead product nor wait 2/3 of a year for a wave of cards that may work with my clan and even then such cards could be for a different archtype from the one I have, effectively making them usless to my deck.

I feel annoyed how there's only 2 cards in keter sanctuary can do angel feather stuff .
