The Black Inner-Child EP 2: Ku Bhata - English The Black Way P.1

Episode 2 of “The Black Inner-Child,” 🌟 a Divine Times series featuring interviews and experiences with organizations centering the African diaspora.
Moving away from commercial events like Afropunk, we’re shifting into focusing on local organizations that center black people. Ku Bhata @englishkubhata is an incredible school by Wálé @walemungongo , born and raised in Salvador, Bahia.
His curriculum centers different Afro-diasporic cultures to make incredibly engaging and fun classes. From discussing the history of hip hop to having students act out a Nigerian land dispute, Ku Bhata’s schools are never anything less than engaging.
Watch how his annual Ku Bhata Festival went as students from all over Brazil came to Salvador to unite and experience all the black culture Bahia has to offer. This first part explores the day spent at a Quilombo with @turismo_rotadaliberdade , and being guided around the historical neighborhood, Pelourinho, in Salvador.
