Very well written video~! If this is what you're like after 3 months of film making, I can't wait to see how epic your videos are going to be in a couple years time. Keep it up!
Since 1999, there has been a lot of investment into cycling projects after there was basically very little but yes it has slowed down in recent years unfortunately.
Great video! I’d love to see an overview route by route going over the design(shared path, on-road separated, unique features, signalling, etc.), usage and history. It would also be great to see similar videos going over the cycle networks of other NZ cities. I can provide you lots of information on Christchurch if you wanted, we’ve got a great cycle network down here.
Appreciate the support, glad you enjoyed. Your idea is a an interesting one. I've got it down on my list of video ideas now. I'll probably do it in a top 10/6 format so I can highlight the best and also keep the video within 10-15 minutes. All my videos have been on Auckland but I do want to cover other New Zealand cities at some point next year. Wellington's and Christchurch's cycle network are videos I want to make at some point. Just each video takes about 40 hours to make and preferably I want to travel there myself to capture footage and experience the network.
Yeah I'm happy that cycling (along with public transport) have recieved significant upgrades in the last 25 years (although both still need a lot of work). I actually made a video about why more roads haven't fixed traffic in Auckland (which I've linked in the description) yet there's still multiple big road projects like the east-west link, Mill Road and motorway widening still happening.
As a former competitive cyclist In my honest opinion Auckland is geographically unsuitable for cycling. You need a high degree of fitness as the city is very hilly. Towns like napier, Christchurch, hamilton, palmerston north, Tauranga are perfect
As a recreational Auckland cyclist, I enjoyed this and appreciated how much work and effort you put into it. Well done!
Really???
At what cost ???
Glad you enjoyed the video Roger. I kind of want to start cycling more now that I've made this video.

@@MorwenInMotion appreciate the support, means a lot to me
It is not expanding fast - it is going real slow

Top work🚴♂️📸🙏🏻
@@BikeDispatch Appreciate the support. Thanks again for letting me use your cycling footage in my vid.
Seems the Kiwis are learning there is a better idea to the massive throngs of vehicles that will eventually clog every every avenue of movement.

Why can't we have flying taxi's in Auckland XD it would reduce the traffic flow
That would be super impratical though. Same reason why flying cars don't (and likely never will) exist.
