Bankim has been singing live Rafi songs 30+ years and how! Unbelievable live performances. Underrated over the years; there is no better Rafi singer; not Sonu, not Anil either. I was a young broadcaster when he visited us for the first time and came into our Television studio (TTT) for a live interview. When asked if he had ever met Mohammed Rafi, he said no. He was then asked hypothetically if he got the chance to meet and speak to Mohammed Rafi, what will he say to him. He replied by saying " I will not speak to Mohammed Rafi because I do not feel that I am qualified to speak to him". He went on to say that he will only clasp his hands and bow before the 'God of Music'....
