I truly enjoyed many games on the Lynx including Zarlor Mercenary with tons of on screen enemies and just about everything can be destroyed it’s pure mindless mayhem! Seriously can you believe this handheld can handle all this without any slowdown!. Good times
I definitely noticed some slowdown but maybe its emulation? Never played the original. Just saw a review for this in an old 1991 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly on IGN Game Scoop for February 9, 2024. Pretty impressive graphics on a handheld for the time.
This game was so much fun. I would always play as Landru, but could never make it past the space stations in L4. There was also the secret code for the life simulator easter egg that was neat. Good times! 👍👍

It's a wonderful game but its biggest flaw are the slowdowns. It suffered a lot even on the original cartridge
I liked the shadows on the ships, it gives some depth.
