@JessieBanana. IIRC, Teachers have been fired for having Only Fans accounts. I remembered reading in the news that some of the students were circulating the pictures of their teacher around and the parents found out... or something to that affect.
@JessieBanana. Forgot to mention this had happen more than once in the news. A UK teacher was given a choice between keeping her teaching job or Only Fans. She kept Only Fans because she made more money than as a full-time teacher. Kind of sad that teachers are so underpaid in general.
@@slimjimnyc270 I think in that case its a bit different. In other industries barring perhaps the most professional (Like business or justice) I think people are actually not that judgemental at all. Its really only in cases like the school students circulating it where it displays an ethical issue and people take issue with it. In other settings I think it wouldnt be much more than a silly subject of discussion or a little office drama. Whether people judge and talk behind their backs or avoid people like that is up to them.

He had the account when he did MoonKnight, it’s only now an issue cause of the cartoon nature. Though 97 isn’t really made for kids, by being authentic to the original it can easily be misconstrued as being for kids and thus a scenario of kids finding out (kids have smartphones these days) and circulating it can still happen, theoretically. I think it’s just another James Gunn scenario Kevin Feige will inevitably fix, can’t imagine his OF account is more important to him than this show and I can’t see Feige letting someone else write season 3 after the success.
It is a big deal and only fans is pretty much legal prostituteion. Remember people just because something is legal doesn't means it's good or right and just because something seems good doesn't always mean it is.

According to some reports it wasn't just one thing that got Beau DeMayo fired but a mix of several things, which could include the Onlyfans issue.
My guess would be there is a HR situation or he was doing something illegal.

For what I heard it had to do with some behind the scenes issues with X-men and that didn't like his take on Blade. From what I heard this is NOT the reason he was fired just part of many reasons they ended up firing him.

I think that having explicit pics for onlyfans may Indeed damage the brand. I mean, sure some people use OF to show off high modeling pictures without nudity...but most of the time OF is used to gain money out of very explicit nudity and suddenly Disney to be associated to that in one way or another does not look good...and I am guessing that at the time of signing a contract, stuff like that could have been layed out, so him doing it may have broken the relationship....
This may be bad press for Disney, but it’s great promo for his OF!

If he’s going dark on the internet, I think it would have to be something so nefarious, especially with the premiere right around the corner. I don’t want to speculate but I don’t think it would be OnlyFans, but something more serious, such as an incident in the workplace.

ok, for one, correct, there are plenty of influencers that use onlyfans for things other than adult content, but the adult content is the thing the platform is most known for. But I would also wonder when he perhaps created the onlyfans account, was it during the WGA strike for supplemental income? If so did he continue to use it when the strike ended? Because if it was a way to get income during the strike and ended with the strike, I personally wouldn't have parted ways. I mean shoot, plenty of nurses and firefighters used that platform during the pandemic for supplemental income.

Disney themselves have films and television with nudity, they even have a show airing right now, Shogun, which has nudity and they own many movies that while they didn't make, are accessible on Disney+.

Not illegal, but may violate internal job policies that result in termination with cause. A media company like Disney would have brand reputation considerations and rules around side businesses involving people getting nekked. And it's 100% justified given it's public facing businesses.

1. Sources report Disney was aware of the page from the outset, and even that he talked about X-Men '97 on it.
2. His OF page doesn't (per that same reporting) have anything explicit on it.
3. If they HAD fired him over this, why would they wait until days before the release?
4. If they HAD fired him over this, why would there not be a statement on their part? They put one out about Gunn's firing.
5. The degree to which he's been cut off, and the deafening silence about why, STRONGLY suggests an HR issue in-house.
6. DeMayo deleted all his OWN social media, a pre-emptive PR shield move that doesn't make sense if Disney fired him over his OF.
Well, I hate to point out that this all is untrue but we do have the Hollywood Reporter not only stating very clearly he was fired but also that there was a ME video about it that shows (censored) pics that show that his OF was in fact quite explicit.
I'm not saying the OF was the thing that got him fired, but it is untrue to say he wasn't fired nor that it was explicit. The Hollywood Reporter would not be specifically stating he was fired if he hadn't been.

Honestly, the OF stuff wouldn't be a deal breaker or if it was, it would be discussed more. The fact nothing is being said AND the show is about to come out, I think it's fairly safe to say that gross sexual misconduct occurred, potentially with someone underage.
Disney want to hope that the show won't be tarnished because they've already had so many issues with people worried that Disney is pushing inappropriate creators etc. this could really damage Disney Plus because it's both legacy content and it's marvel related content at a a time when the MCU is not so hot. Add on top X-Men 97 is a more kid-friendly show.
If the news of the writer breaks first, it will be all that's talked about in relation to the show and people won't want to support it.

Deadpool is both R rated and viewed for adults, Disney has done adult content before. X-Men 97 while not explicitly for kids, is authentic to a kid’s show and thus can be construed as one, plus it’s rated PG.

I don't think that's actually not true about Gunn. They did know about Gunn's previous lame jokes from years ago, and Gunn had even apologized about them at one point. The thing about only fans is there are no rules like Ray is saying you could post pictures of fans like ceiling fans, Dyson fans, whatever fans and that can be your only fans if that’s what you wanted to do. But at the same time, people sign up to that site to view pornographic images, both of children and adults. So that’s why it doesn’t look great for Disney because by having him there it promotes that. So I can completely understand Disney’s decision if that’s what happened. He left due to the fact that he didn’t want to not view pornographic images. I think that’s a silly reason for leaving, especially if Disney has already hired you to write three seasons of the show. And you were getting paid for that.. sad I don’t know honestly I understand this needs decision, but I think the whole thing is just plain silly
