The little cuts to the rest of the players reacting to the games was a nice touch. I was surprised on how good that red deck was, thinking about picking up that starter deck
@@JoyBoysTCG Never been more excited for a follow up in my life. Beyond geeked for the future. Also random question: You guys going to the Dallas regional on Dec. 7th?
glad you enjoyed it!! We have lots of content that's helpful for introductory deckbuilding for different leaders or starter decks if you wanna take a look.
I was really excited to watch this tournament style of the ST decks but it is SO HARD keeping track of who you guys are talking about mid match. I'm new to OP TCG and your channel so I do NOT know the names of the guys playing. Please put some kind of HUD or overlay to show names of who is playing what. Could even add a display for life so I can easily tell who is who and at what health
Okay so I have questions. I'm looking to get into the game with my husband and the decks I do have (a couple I bought randomly here and there to collect) aren't the best around. I want to get the purple Luffy (as well as purple/black Luffy at some point) and I was thinking about building an Uta deck for my husband. Question 1) Is it best to get two of each starter deck? Question 2) For Uta, I have read you just need one of each starter deck for her, is that true?
Q1: so buying two decks is easier but more expensive than buying one and then buying the extra copies you need for cards they only give you 2 of as singles. Either is fine its just depends on what you value more, time, money, and/or ease of access. Q2: For Uta 1 of each puts you pretty much there, just pick up 2 extra 4cost utas from the newer one and you're cooking
@@JoyBoysTCG Thank you so much! One Piece is my favorite series ever and it's something we've bonded over from the very beginning, so we both want to try out this game but I want us to actually learn how to play the game properly so we can go to the LGS and maybe an event someday.
I’m new to the TCG community and I’m wondering where is the best place to check prices for cards. Would it be TCG player? I don’t want to walk into my local card shop and over pay
TCG player is great! I'm average if a shop is 10-15% higher it's pretty normal. It's the price of supporting brick and mortar these days and making sure we can have great play spaces for new and old gamers. Whereas plenty of TCG player sellers getting the low end prices are out of their house or have larger operations then the average store and actively competing with them if not with more overheard
Maybe someone knowledgeable can help me, I just pulled a Smoothie OP03-110 out of a PRB-01 pack. The card is the normal card but it's glitter sparkly and has multiple straw hat logo watermarks all over it. Is this normal or a special version of this card?
in PRB you pull the following cards: commons and uncommons (no visual effects to the cards), a basic rare (rare foil treatment basic frame still), an SR or secret and then you have 3 unique slots to the PRB packs. the first is either an alt art card, extended art card or the first of your two jollyroger foil cards (this is a unique pattern to prb that you're describing which features the straw hat jolly roger), the second will be a guaranteed jolly roger and then finally your character don which can be upgraded to foil and gold foil
Okay awesome, thank you! It was an ST18 PRB-01 and I pulled that smoothie, OP05-119 gear 5 Luffy gold trim, and just a normal OP02-18 Marco. Dressrosa flower field Don!! Subscribed to you guys, thank you so much
Dudes, I love your content, really refreshing and community based, but PLEASE for the love of god, read the cards. I just started watching and the amount of missplays is actually distracting and I am not talking about wrong swings etc. My man attached 2 Dons on a 6k and said 7k into life. 7c WB attaches 1 Don on Play and he skipped that part etc.
Yeah I mean it's really hard to police other people's play in that way. Especially when the rest of us watch on delay so we can commentate without going away hand info while they play. All we can really do is fix what we catch in time (which we do pretty often you just don't see it) and hope that the players we invite for content come in focused and play as tightly as possible. It is also a very real psychological issue that the second you put a camera in front of someone people start making mistakes or acting weird. They begin thinking about the camera and how they're being perceived way more and it starts to distract from anything else theyre doing
Been looking for tournament style content like this for One Piece for a while! Please do more 😭
totally! its just a tall order but we have our Curse Tournament already up from before if you haven't seen that :D
Should do a straight up noob tournament I'd attend that lol. @@JoyBoysTCG

@@Instinct_JM traveling isn't really in the cards for us atm, but we're trying to go to Orlando for Cardfest (at least one of us)
As a new player, thank you so much for breaking things down! Helped so much!
Loving the sakazuki alt art leaders as don cards 😂😂
Just got into the card game. Coming from a love of the anime thanks for the teaching I’m learning a lot !!!!
you should do another tourney with the same leaders but upgraded like the videos you made.
It’s so dope you got a bunch of homies together to do this
its definitely a lot of work but totally worth it!
love the format of the show, great stuff!
The alt Akainus as don killed me😂
The Uta v Smoker game was too funny 😂
I am trying to learn and get into One Piece. This video has been helpful to see the game in action. Thanks

Seeing quality content like this taught me a lot about the game just subbed
been looking to get into this game, great video to help me decide :) Been thinking about smoker tbh
The Smoker deck is very much my favorite, but all of these decks are so cool.
Poor guy who got stuck with the uta deck, could of at least let him use the first uta starter deck xD
I just started playing and I bought the purple Luffy and the blue Doflamingo, I eventually want to build Black Rob Lucci
That hour long match was a crazy back and forth
Y U P really grind game
Didn't that dean guy play yonas on stream like three weeks ago???
In the finals of a regional perhaps?
😂😂😂😂

hi, I want to ask which is the best deck before being upgraded, and which deck can counter the best deck?
Luffy and Doffy are the best two and rival each other closely no hard counter out of these at the top end
tbh uta structure is litirally made to give a little support to the current and to promote the almbum of the singer
Amazing video 🔥
Love you guys’ content!
Tysm! Hope you enjoy this huge labor of love!

Will do o7
Fun video!
4:30 he counters a 6k attack against his 5k lead with a doffy 1k counter?
no he's blocking with the doffy blocker on the board

I don't think you need to prove that Gecko Moria carries BY Luffy it's just a fact
Why is he using alt sakazuki as don😂
Cause he's built different (I'm he) - Luke

(After upgrade)
Thanks and have a great day

Blue doffy still popular deck till now but less appereance in big tournament😂

Its not really about Newgate, its more about the cards being useful in Marco and the new 7c Whitebeard being used in Shanks
