I've always been a fan of the idea of folding phones. Especially like the fold and OP Open, because they give you flexibility (literally lol) in your daily use. Been rocking the Samsung S23 Ultra for a couple months now, I think this phone is a beast in every aspect and has everything a smartphone can offer and even more, I am quite surprised that this phone didn't get as much credit it deserves in this video. Thanks SuperSaf for putting it out there considering the fact that S23 Ultra came way earlier than the rest of the phones here.
Because it's video quality is the main reason these guys did not chose it. If it comes toe to toe or even better than iPhone then all these isheeps will switch to Samsung
The baby S23 is my smartphone of the year because it's compact, it feels so nice in the hands (i have small ones), it has a very good battery, the photos and videos got better with software updates. It's powerful, doesn't heat as the S22 did, still has this precious telephoto lens and... Have i already talked about the very good battery of this smartphone ? Well, i think, i did. For european consumers, Snapdragon (8 Gen 2) was a big YES and a huge updgrade comparing to Exynos, errr... thing.
My Android is the S23 Ultra but it was a really close call which to buy. I really like the small S23 coz the 6.1 inches really is the sweet spot. So light, so compact and packs a punch with SD8 gen2.
It's so silly but this is actually one of my favorite videos of the year. I like knowing what these creators actually use, not just what they're showing us.
As a Samsung user, i do think that Samsung really need to work harder especially in the foldable department. Competition out there is strong. You can't just release similar phones like Fold4 & 5
There is no competition for Samsung. Samsung foldables are released globally contrary to most other brands. Samsung also provide foldable screens for other brands. Samsung is winning everyday.
Samsung is just selling because of its marketing strategies n reach into the marker otherwise this phone has been long crushed by the Chinese giants like huawei honor one plus n MI.. I wish n hope they should learn from these Chinese phones..
This video is great to know exactly who to ignore when it comes to reviews if they pick the iphone for anything. JerryRig and Brownlee man you never guys never let us down, always on point.
I upgraded from the S21 Ultra to the S23 Ultra, and I regret it every time I use the main camera. The new 200 MP camera is just plain worse, and Samsung hasn't fixed anything since it's launch as far as its performance goes. Any improvement that you're seeing on these channels is from AI figuring out how to fix it. When the AI doesn't know what to do, the image quality is awful. DON'T UPGRADE!
@StarFissure thats worrying, i just bought my s23 Ultra in a sale but its my first Ultra, switching from just a base s21 should still be miles better in all areas.
@@StarFissurestop it, S23 Ultra owned S21 Ultra big time. You're just a plain noob. Even photographers S23 Ultra is their main phone device. S21 Ultra is great but that just it.
@StarFissure thanks for the heads-up, I'm probably gonna put a new battery as everything else is still working fine. I felt the upgrade of the S21U coming from S9+... I wouldn't recommend anyone to upgrade if they still own note 10 plus and upwards.
Watching this on my Oppo Find N3 (OnePlus Open basically for the Asian market) and Im pleasantly surprised how many tech reviewers mention the Oneplus Open! Ive used many phones too and this by far is a big step up from anything ive used so far. Seriously, Samsung needs to pull up their socks for the Fold 6!
Im surprised i dont see many 23U but ive been using it since it released and i came over from p6p and p7p and the s23U just feels so complete eith all the software that google offers ,with all dat battery life, speed, efficiency,i wanted to give samsung a chance again after years but i definitely needed a break from google as they kinda disappointed me with the p6p snd the p7p ,ive been hearing good thing about the google again and its possible for me to come back but who knows👀
@nehemiahbolden8634 yeah I'm still using it and still feel the same way the day I bought it, I was close to buying the s24U but I decided to stick with the 23 till next year since it's really the same thing

Quite surprised at the outcome. Before watching the video, I thought that it would be 50/50. But it seems that it is balancing more towards Android. Second surprise was the number of folks using the OnePlus.

Just got my 15pro after all the waiting for the notch to “go” away and the usb-c to come. First time on ios. I miss the openness of android though. The smoothness on the 15pro is the most noticeable. Let’s see how it holds up.
@@Panmiszcz-lv4mk I have to charge my phone twice a day most of the time. And my gripe with the Photos app still stands. The rest I am satisfied with how it is. The stand out things for me are the smoothness and the cameras.
@@Panmiszcz-lv4mk Most of the time I have to top up my battery twice a day. That’s the biggest gripe for me. I also truly miss the “back” key like in Android. And Android can be set to our way of usage whereas here I have to use my phone the way Apple wants me to use it. If nothing happens in the 16pro I’ll be going back to the Galaxy!
Haven't watched the full thing yet, but lemme guess: Saf: "And for me the all around best smartphone that covers all areas had to be the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, the new chip & specs delivered great improvements to battery life, alongside all the usual great things we've come to expect from Samsung. But on the Apple side of things, I would go with the iPhone 15 Pro Max, for that new camera sensor and the improvements to the dynamic island".
I was hoping to see the iPhone 13 Mini return to at least one youtuber’s pick as a daily driver.. to this day it’s a very solid and ergonomic phone. I really wish Apple made a pro version of this with a telephoto lens.. but other than that, I still love to use my Mini, and I hope it’ll last me a long time! ❤
@@legendarypo183 If they ever make something similar in the near future, then yes, I’ll gladly buy one. Not having to rely on a pop-socket to use a phone with one hand is already a deal breaker for me. And adding some new features to this concept is always welcome. But until that happens, I’ll try to get the most out of my 13 Mini.
In my case I am all in for small phones and I have two sims, so I am still rocking my iPhone 13 mini with motorolla razr plus = best combo for staying in Apple ecosystem while having the extra productivity and content viewing from android on the razr plus. The new iPhone pros are too big for me and I haven't been able to use with one had like I do with the 13 mini and razr plus external screen especially if you are like me who hates having popsockets or phone holders on my phones. The only reason that would make me upgrade to the new pros is the camera which i rarely use except for taking pictures of notes for school or selfies with friends and family when going out which my phones do a good enough job with that.
I had a fold 5 for about 2 weeks and went to the s23 ultra. No regrets. I was always a Note user , from the 2 through the 9. I decided to get a pixel 5 and used that up until I got the fold 5 earlier this year. I had a oneplus 5t in there at some point as well. I was a manager at Verizon so I was obsessed with trying the newest phones for a long time. My work phone is an iPhone 14 pro. Out of all of those phones. Past and present, the 23 ultra is by far the best overall phone I've ever had. I use the spen, that alone is huge for me. The screen, the battery, the performance, the cameras, the hardware. All of it comes together it what's a perfect package to me. I couldn't imagine my only phone being an iPhone. It's fun to have one has a secondary phone. But I couldn't go to only having an IPhone. Not after having the different options and functionality an android provides after all this time. It's crazy to me how many youtubers pick the iPhone still.
Galaxy S23 Ultra is my choice. I preorder the phone and got it early. Was truly impressed with everything, especially the improved battery life. The fact that it is still improving through updates and holds up to the newer model phones (15 pro, etc.) is truly impressive.
When you notice, most of them only choose the recent Android phone that just release in September - October, iPhone too just released in September. Some of them are exception (sort of) like Saf, Zack (JRE, which still use his Note 10) and Mr. Mobile. Believe me, when you give them time in Feburary - April next year, they will all choose S24 Ultra because it just still hot and new. It's obvious they will not use "old phone" because they always got fresh free brand new phone whether it's Android or iPhone. Average user will use their phone at least for 2 years.
After much deliberation I chose the S23 Ultra over the 15 Pro Max and I am extremely happy with my choice as there are sooooo many things that i consider to be better on Samsung's best Android phone. That being said, i completely understand why these TH-camrs like the Iphone so much as they do record excellent video quality and also it is the newer device and so it makes sense that phone reviewers would be currently using a recently released device. Also some might be hoping to get invited back to the Apple event in the future for those juicy viewer numbers 😅
@thelastmelon9446 About those juicy viewer numbers, Marques Brownlee did two videos about the Apple event in September, instead of the usual one, which seemed like a cheap attempt to get as many views as possible.

They will not give it to Samsung because many us youtubers are bought by either pixel or apple.
Also good to see that OnePlus open is getting some good feedback.
Because it's video quality is the main reason these guys did not chose it. If it comes toe to toe or even better than iPhone then all these isheeps will switch to Samsung
S23 ultra supposed to get credit and it deserves. I feel it's paid review by one plus and Google 😅😅
Because they all love the iPhone in the US. 😂
For european consumers, Snapdragon (8 Gen 2) was a big YES and a huge updgrade comparing to Exynos, errr... thing.
This is so true..That phone is highly underrated...It is a solid phone!
I m using it and I just love it.
S23 ❤️
My Android is the S23 Ultra but it was a really close call which to buy. I really like the small S23 coz the 6.1 inches really is the sweet spot. So light, so compact and packs a punch with SD8 gen2.
Yes S23 base is the best one. Nice & small and packs most of the S23 lineups features in almost half the price.
To bad Exynos is coming back with s24.
It's so silly but this is actually one of my favorite videos of the year. I like knowing what these creators actually use, not just what they're showing us.
Where's Flossy?
As a Samsung user, i do think that Samsung really need to work harder especially in the foldable department. Competition out there is strong. You can't just release similar phones like Fold4 & 5
fold 6 .....stand by...your wish will be granted
There is no competition for Samsung. Samsung foldables are released globally contrary to most other brands. Samsung also provide foldable screens for other brands. Samsung is winning everyday.
Samsung is just selling because of its marketing strategies n reach into the marker otherwise this phone has been long crushed by the Chinese giants like huawei honor one plus n MI.. I wish n hope they should learn from these Chinese phones..
@sumitpalsingh5262 Samsung is selling because it was the first in the foldable game to get popular

S21 ultra for me since last year August ❤battery still good still has a very capable camera system featuring 10x tele 🔥 💪
@StarFissure thats worrying, i just bought my s23 Ultra in a sale but its my first Ultra, switching from just a base s21 should still be miles better in all areas.

using the pixel fold out of ALL the folding ones is crazy
The fact that it is still improving through updates and holds up to the newer model phones (15 pro, etc.) is truly impressive.
thats the only phone you have used these guys have tried them all I love samsung but this year was not good maybe next year
When you notice, most of them only choose the recent Android phone that just release in September - October, iPhone too just released in September.
S24 ultra has released yesterday.
Yay Ash made it this year. Good to see him, and came out with a phone from complete left field 👍
yes I did, sent it in pretty early too... kinda missed the boat last year... glad you liked my pick :)
