My mom is always reminsencing about all the great times she had growing up in Guyana. I missed my grandma. She was the historian 4 the family and could tell u who was related 2 who throughout the family. She even passed on which African nation our family originated from b4 slavery. Anyway, even though I was not born in Guyana, I'm proud 2 b a guyanese descendant.
Am glad that I found the music of the Tradewinds on TH-cam. Many years ago we purchased a LP by the Tradewinds while visiting Trinidad. Am not from Guyana, but music is truly the universal language.
Angel Colquhoun thats cool....and surprising. the reason i said surprising is because i'm not trying to bash or anything but i notice alot of kids who are 1/2 guyanese and 1/2 trini, usually are ashamed of their guyanese side and/or prefer their trini side better. it's nice to see something different that's all. if you don't mind me asking. which parent is the Guyanese parent and which one is the Trinidadian parent?
Joan evadany manger...remember when we used to sing these songs when Mr. narvelle. pass by to his house riding his old motorbike that you could hear coming from campbleville to prashad agar.this is shohha your neighbor who left good old guyana 41 years ago.miss the innocent fun I had.

who says im not proud? you're stating the obvious. I raised a valid point. Guyana could be much more than what it is if so many smart successful didn't move elsewhere.
