    Bernardo is so kind. He is already being the wise old man archetype by giving this young man a big name to start his interview career. Dom did a great job hosting and asked very good questions. Best of luck to you Dom.

    It's so simple we can't see it. We are nature. Our Ego is story we tell ourselves.

    • @mikeolsze6776
      @mikeolsze6776 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not necessarily, that we are nature. It's, we can be nature - if we allow ourselves, as to actually be immersing ourselves, within nature, as truly experiencing - the real natural world, in all its innumerable grandeur's. Literally like a child ! Which in today's day & age, not many people are fortunate enough to be exposed to such experiences - of nature, within our more so electronic & mechanistic - ready made - factitious world. 😮

    I'm so deeply impressed by Bernardo Kastrups Philophy. The other day I heard of Nobel Laureate Anton Zeilinger who was in search of Philosophers being able to elaborate on his quantum physicist's findings. Bernardo, perhaps you could team up with him, especially if you could communicate only to a degree in German the way you can explain things in English. Thanks a very big lot 🙂!

    Bernardo, you are a great soul to have behind the curtain. I've torn the curtain top to bottom, and it is a lonely place. One gets to the place where few can understand because they don't see what you see. Totally agree, it is a lonely place. The only solace is that you play your role, knowing it is not a about you, but a greater role that you are not in charge of. Peace, brother.

    A very thoughtful interlude and one where we, observers, are given the space to follow Bernardo along, thoughtfully and on the way, reflect on his, meaningful thoughts as they mirror themselves in our own lives. And therein I think is partly a key to his hesitancy about the other two podcasters, which is, their persona’s are large and unlike you Dom, given what they do which many of us have seen, the chances of them allowing that little space for Bernardo to honestly explore his thoughts and understandings, out loud, might and I say, might not be feasible. Whereas, your own humility matched his and that is the space wherein one can make one’s’ way to the truth. A space to actually hear what he is saying. A lovely, lovely conversation, to be treasured. Keep doing it your way Dom. Keep the humility. Keep allowing the space instead of trying to fill it as many others do. Best wishes from Dublin.

      Far beyond the beautiful and kind message and encouragement to 'young Dom' which it certainly also is - I see it as the astute appraisal of why Bernardo would be hesitant to go see the 'big guys': There's a fair chance this interviews would turn out less substantial, more shallow.
      .... Right now I feel very fortunate to have come across Mijnher Kastrup at this point in outside time, and in my inner development.
      His position and frames of reference are like the unknown, unlikely shaped strategic party in my own fun little jig saw puzzle of "his does it all work?"... my father died when I was 8 - I very much relate to that having been the curve ball that gave my life its spin towards pursuing the reconciliation of the 'material' & immaterial.

Maybe it’s a little bit of timing and content, but a big part of it is the humility and curiosity of both interviewer and interviewee here. There is a flow based on listening and mutuality. Young Dom, bless your life and purpose, bless your intellect and the very obvious sensitivity you have to the importance of cognition and understanding of life - a system way more powerful than our influence. Please hold your generation in awe and respect for the wisdom of ancients of our species... since time immemorial virtue has manifest as the wisdom imparted and upheld by successive generations. This responsibility is natural and cumulative, and not at all burden. Each successive generation is more equipped naturally to absorb, process and manifest a greater wisdom. All the best to you, your generation and progeny. God bless !

    And Bernardo, as much as you don't wish to be seen as an embodiment of the wise old man, that is what my still young mind sees in you. And it is enlivening me and encouraging me to do my part in this drama. I also know you don't need encouragement or anything, but I'm just reporting how my psyche is unfolding in reaction to seeing that archetype. I also have found satifying embodiments of the wise old man to be extremely rare. Godspeed.

    The interviewer did such a fantastic job of allowing Bernardo to expand his real belief.
    I have heard many talks by him and respect and appreciate him very much
    However, hearing this revealing interview brings me to great sadness for him. He has perfect understanding of the human and world dilemma at this point.
    But he does not have the advantage of the greater realization of the spiritual reality beyond the human experiencing. He has allowed himself to be buried in the appearance of materiality.
    We have to ‘ wear life like a loose garment’ - in order to not get lost in the dream of it.
    As Bernardo says, we are here for a specific purpose, and part of that purpose is to rise to a higher perspective - the I Am - even while living the human journey.

    Absolutely charmed by your thoughtfulness and intellectual suffering in this world, Bernardo. It rings true to a deep authenticity and urgency. I often think of Herman Hesse and Rilke. They must have sensed what was coming--it is obvious that they indeed did; but they didn't flee to another country or hide in the mountains. They set forth. They found their beauty. They fought darkness. All in silence. All with reverence.

    Silence is a gateway to open your channels to Silence your mind chatter....then true wisdom can flow in. That's why many begin with meditation to Silence the mental continual chatter. I appreciate this. I believe this impulse Kastrup is referring to is your ordained path. It can be called your "nature" as it is personal to your inner being, but I believe it to be the force of life itself manifesting in you like the stem of a flower pushing outward into the air. It is exhilarating. It is your connection with god. While it may feel impersonal, I don't believe it is cruel. Surrender is not cruel, it opens you to the possibility of love which the ego can never fulfil.

    Thank you for your most interesting talks, Bernardo. That you are discovering that the archetypes are ‘within’ as well as ‘outside’ momentous, for essentially there is no real distinction between the two. And I suspect you will lose the illusion that you are alone, for although we *feel* separate and ‘alone’ we are not separate and/or alone. Hating watching yourself hopefully will disappear too as your self is integrated. The ego get embarrassed. Also, I wonder if ‘channeling’ is rejected by you because you are alienated from part of yourself. Words can mislead as well as enlighten. Consciousness communicates in many ways.

    It is obvious that the young Dom, at his 24 years old, seems to have a hard time understanding all of Bernardo's final philosophy, but that's how all young people are, that's how we were once too! :) I really enjoyed this touching video! Thank you Dom, for the wise questions.

    What a wise and enlightened man ... The practical explanation of forces at work and the nuance and subtlety of mind required to be aware of these forces is deeply helpful and letting go of the responsibility for the outcomes is enlightenment . Thank you Bernardo ❤

    Bernardo, you are being guided obviously by forces beyond you. Jung is a savior. he saved me with his small book, answer Answer to Job. Maybe you are not supposed to give your knowledge out to just anyone. So many are unevolved, you don't need the pushback!

    The best Bernardo's interview I have ever watched!! Good questions Dom!
    Regarding the wise man archetype, part of me was thinking that Bernardo was a bit arrogant here, but to be honest, I feel the same. All my social circle ask me for advice and support but, for me, it makes no sense to seek support in them; they simple don't understand my struggles and their advice is always nonsense or common place. I always think to myself "why should I listen to this person when I have my own criteria and I can also read about Buddhism, the stoics or other good philosophy ". It feels really lonely.

    • @DomSniezka
      @DomSniezka  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Isn't also freeing? In the sense that you don't need advice, support from anyone else so it's up to you? Doesn't that just imply that there is freedom from external authority even?

    • @Paseosinperro
      @Paseosinperro ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DomSniezka Yes, it is also freeing! Maybe I was feeling the sadness of realizing that there is not going to be anyone there when I need that support. As Bernardo say, maybe is the child inside screaming, not wanting to accept that :)

      @DomSniezka  ปีที่แล้ว

      Would Alan Watts and Bernardo agree?

    • @thkioups2382
      @thkioups2382 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DomSniezka Oh yes. May be not exactly on specific words but in principle yes.
      On the other hand, I think most "spiritual" philosophers more or less agree and point to the same direction but they are fond of articulating things in fancy terms and debate just for the fun of it or maybe it is just me that I perceive it this way because if you "get the message" in principle and start embodying it, you can recognize it even in the phone book.
      After all nobody can really prove or be certain on all these nuances the talk about and try to convey than speculating intellectually. It is just how "it sits" on you and get what the pointers point to.

    • @DomSniezka
      @DomSniezka  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thkioups2382 You make a good point, suggesting that they all point to the same direction, yet use different words that are fancy, cultural, philosophical etc...
      I often wonder what the source of all this Spiritual knowledge is the in the first place.
      For example, Alan Watts was familiar with various spiritual and religious traditions and then spoke about it in his particular way.
      Same with Bernardo.
      Same with Buddha, as he was familiar with Hinduisim.
      Same with Jesus, as he was familiar with Judaism.
      and so on.
      I think it's interesting to inquire into this, because perhaps there is no authority on these matters at all, and it all just comes down to our understanding? And perhaps more importantly living as human beings on this planet alongside other animals, plants, bacteria etc..
      How do you feel about that?

    • @thkioups2382
      @thkioups2382 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DomSniezka Yes I agree. There is no authority on these matters.
      But you cannot cause deliberately the understanding and live accordingly. It just dawns on you and is expressed automatically. Just like Bernardo (and others) says you are the medium through life is expressed. You only have a personal life superficially.

    • @DomSniezka
      @DomSniezka  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thkioups2382 It makes me wonder, what urges one to do what they do?
      It seems to me that, just like there are unique functions if we observe nature. There are unique functions within Humans. Of course, there is no distinction between the two, but for the purposes of this example, I'll make this distinction.
      A bee does what a bee does. An oak tree is perfect as oak tree is designed to be. A chicken will never be an eagle, and so on....
      Now, if we look at humans, could it be that some of us just can't help but do certain things, explore certain questions, be curious about that something that we just can't seem to shake off.
      I find that fascinating for example!
      Beyonce is just born to sing. A cook somewhere jus adores cooking. A philosopher just adores contemplating Reality or a specific part of Reality. A farmer just adores the act of growing something etc...
      Wow!
      I think that's so cool!

    I can see why he was attracted to Jung's work and how Jung could be perceived as the "wise old man." On the other hand, despite his brilliance, Bernado seems to be conflicted with certain aspects of himself. I wish him a profound sense of peace as he ages.
