- Building a realistic $500 console killer pc 🕹
This pc build is great value and in my opinion it is worth it over a console
For the same price as the ps5 you can get a Gaming Pc that will achieve 100+ fps in most titles 📈

I love your video and your channel. You found a problem with the temp of your gpu, and you fixed it professionally and efficiently. Good work my guy, keep this up and you will help so many people build their pc's.
That's a clean looking case. Great job on the build!
Very well done video and the PC looks really good too.
Over time that build has a lot of potential for upgrades. One of the new X3D CPU, some cable extensions, a newer GPU that matches the case better, if need be to accommodate power needs for a new GPU a better PSU.
Honestly great job.
PC gaming has always held a special place in my left ventricle.
Have an awesome day.
You seem a lot more enthusiastic this time, love to see it ❤
Been loving the videos recently man
glad you took the criticism of the other video to heart and made an even more banging video, love you man
*Great build, keep it up!*
Another great video Elijah Might save this build for the future.
I really appreciate this vid in response to the previous one. Well done. And hey, at that price point, you’re not running any crazy parts that draw a ton of power so the PSU choice there is fine. 5700xt for that price is very achievable and sometimes better. Recently copped a red devil 5700xt for $120 including tax and shipping. Best bang for your buck budget card for sure.
Great build Elijah 👏
really liked the video. Great job. I appreciate how you take your feedback and make it something positive. Takes a lot to do what you do. To make these great videos for us.
thank u so much for this video cause i wasnt sure a $500 pc would be good enough for the games i wanna play, as i was considering buying the xbox series x which is the same price as this but i'd rather save to get a pc for the same price as its more useful and can run fortnite sims and roblox + more games i enjoy playing better than the console can, plus having a pc is much more useful for school and other things aside from gaming. ty!!
Amazing video, but I'd recommend to do maintenance on the gpu after knowing that it works too make sure you get the most optimal results. Since you bought the gpu used, doing maintenance is a must. Not everyone takes care of their components like we pc flippers do. This way you'll save yourself some time to keeo making these banger videos.
Nice video bro really enjoyed it
Nice build! Keep up the great work!
you play sb
I like the new camera angles
I think non-replicable deals are more interesting. Ive been flipping pcs for a while now and there are some banger deals out there. 2 years ago I got 60 combos consisting of a 2080, i7 8700, 16gb of ram, 550w PSU, and B360 Mortar for $300 each….That was an absolute STEAL.
Dude I just asked him to make a replicable one
I bought a $300 PC in March of 2023 that has the following specs:
MSI Z370-A Pro Motherboard
i7 8700k
ASUS GTX 1060 6GB Turbo
16GB of DDR4 RAM
Corsair H100i 240mm AIO cooler
KEDIERS C570 open air case with 7 RGB fans. It didn't come with a PSU or any storage so I think you definitely got a better deal.
@@BREEZYM6015 I bought a $400 pc late 2023 and it had:
I5-8600k
Gtx 1660
Asrock b365m
2x8 gb Corsair vengeance ddr4
240gb SATA ssd (upgraded to 1tb nvme)
Terrible air cooler (upgraded to 240mm aio)
Totally worth it
@@BREEZYM6015 bro you can find 300 pc with 1660, so try to find a cheap 1660 and ur good
I bought a pc with following specs for $600
Ryzen 9 3950x
RX 5700 XT
64GB DDR4 Corsair Ram
Aorus x570 wifi
2TB aorus SSD
Full corsair parts including a AIO and a 220t case
Its currently my personal build but I swapped the 5700xt for a 6650xt
Another great video!
I would add 20$ cooler Arctic Freezer i35 and that cooler also fits AM5 for the future and it's great one.
Nice build!
The pc is really great value for the performance! i also have a rx 6600 with a ryzen 5 5500 pc and it performs really good as well. i built it like a year ago for 680 euro and it still is really good. In your video u mentioned that the pc could only output 120 fps but that is because the ps5 uses much better ghrapics so my question is if you can do that too when benchmarking a pc or gpu. the ps5 presset in fortnite is like dx12 at high presset and effects at epic for volumetric clouds and maybe upscaler such as dlss or tsr at quality but other from that very nice pc and keep up the good work :)
Amazing video
Great build dude.
Been building PC's since 1997 Windows 95/NT Server with ISA boards and blue screens (reinstalls I should say) every time you switch your hardware.
Oh, the good days.
Consoles are killing it these days though and the main reason I switched to console back in 2010 is hackers.
I used to mess around and load hacks up on PC PVP games (wall hacks, aimbot etc.) and I was shocked that I could do it so easily but not get caught.
Turn cross-play off in consoles and I don't have to worry about hackers.
Still have my PC for VR and RTS games etc. 8)
Bro you made the best price to fps pc at the moment.I would definitely buy this for 500$.❤
PCs do offer a lot more versatility than consoles do and with the right platform you can always upgrade parts to be relevant. But, I think for pure gaming, consoles provide a lot of value for their price if someone just wants to game.
Your build is nice though as it performs similarly enough to a console, is priced like a console but offers so much more because it's a PC. Good work!
yeah same price "console killer" videos are just not true, and getting stale as cheeto under the seat of 94 ford tempo. nice build and sweet pc for the price but console killer it is not...
also saving electric bills
Pc has consoles beat in pure gaming too considering it has 99.99% of every game ever made on it. You only get a console if you don't know better or only want to play call of duty/fifa.
agreed@@GamerzPro1231
those apex benchmarks were insane - nice
What fan software do you use? Would love to download it. My computer fans it would help. Great video
Nice vid, because of you i builded my own pc yesterday and finish it today
omg i have these exact same parts other than ram storage and psu i had mobo cpu and gpu in a list that i am buying rn
lov ur vids
Temps would probably be better with fans installed in the case for better airflow. You have zero fresh air intake.
i have a fine pc build but the one thing i might take from the pc is the pc case it looks nice
Right, hey sometimes you find crazy deals. Once in a blue moon.
And those stories are fun too!!!
But a console killer PC build needs to be repeatable in order to secure the victory of the PC-master-race.
consider turning up the gpu fan speed a bit? I've had an issue before where the amd driver would lock to the gpu fans to a low speed. When you enable fan control in the driver it suddenly works correctly lol
Nothing wrong with those power supplies. I use them all the time, and I believe are rated C tier. Great for budget builds.
Nope, they're Tier E or F. Last time i had a tt smart it had coil whine. I used aresgame psus and despite the tier F rating they look very nice and are super quiet. they're better than the tier C apevia prestige because i had 2 of them and they made some random noise or coil whine
@@someguywithmtndew5691 I have purchased over 20 of these and never had coil whine or issues. The voltages are always at a good tolerance too.
@@mintymus i bought 2, one had coil whine the other made some annoying noise i can’t tell if it’s coil whine or bad fan
@@someguywithmtndew5691 Most PSU fans make a little bit of noise if you put your ear up close to them, I've had that happen with Seasonic and EVGA.
Its insane how he builds such good pcs, for cheap. Youve made me want to buy a pc. The pc you built destroys the ps5, since its not optimised just for gaming unlike the ps5. If you optimised it like the ps5, the whole world would probably build it. You make very high quality videos, keep it up.
I built this exact pc after watching some videos of the same graphics card (rx5700xt) run my favorite games (bf2042, cod mw3) with great fps. However, after setting everything up and installing all the drivers, I couldn't get bf2042 or mw3 to run over 40fps. Disappointed, and it's my first pc build.
Those temps man, it's the case. There's no room under the gpu. Another case might solve that problem.
hey elijah, i have a question. so i am starting out trying to flip pcs, and i was wondering about all of the places that you end up listing your pcs. i currently only have mine on marketplace but i would love to get some feedback👍👍
Hey, how are you recording through your macbook?
Omg you watch iceberg? He is one of the best budget GPU and CPU channel
If you're building this, please spend the extra 10-20 bucks and get an MSI MAG A550BN or A650BN, trust me. You DO NOT want to cheap out on ur PSU.
Did you have to do any sort of update or bios update to support the ryzen 5 5500?
how is the airflow considering you did not add any fans to the front?
Damn that is fucken clean. Imma copy it.
Bro thats a bomb for a power supply
amd gpus can go up to 110 degrees on the hotspot. the 5700xt would be running at 1.2v stock. you can easily bump the voltage down to 1.1 without changing anything else, should help with temps
my new amd gpu runs around 57c its the coolest running gpu ive ever owned, xtx7800xt
temps would prob be much better if case got 3 fans on front panel :D prob just get case with 4 fans from start :D
Regarding to the GPU temps:
- If it's a contact issue (if the heatsink isn't attached to the PCB well enough) the temps will rise from idle to high REALLY fast. It will also idle kinda high (higher than 35c).
- It's not a cooler issue cause that is more than enough cooling for that GPU. This model isn't capable of going above 75c.
- Bad thermal paste? or just a bad spread. I doubt it tho. If the GPU core to Hotspot delta is bigger than 12-15c, I'd start thinking that it's a contact/thermal paste issue.
I don't think it's an airflow issue 'cause I've built multiple PCs with triple fan GPUs with no airflow at all. It takes hours upon hours for it to even go above 75c with similar coolers. The heatsink does 90% of the job, not the fans, so it should not be a problem in ur case.
Personally, I'd think that it's a contact issue. The screws aren't tightened well enough, or the thermal paste is not good enough or there's not enough of it.
All good points.
bro doesnt know how airflow works lmao
@@juliusunreal agreed 1 biggest factor is case airflow.. the case is decent enough since it has mesh front even though there are restriction in the fan mounting bracket..
he repasted it i doubt its loosed if its loosed then any game you throw at it temps will stay mid 80s above and might even cause display issue.
i also think the problem is airflow.. also if he forget to set the fan curve w/ MSI afterburner overwriting the default low RPM spin and fans turn off interval of the GPU i think that's the real issue here.
EDIT** heatsink absorb heats but not efficient to dissipate the heat due to the fan continues switching between low RPM spin and turning off.
@@gamertechlive1780 🤝
@@gamertechlive1780 Bad airflow wouldn't cause it to heat up so fast.
Good psu Thermaltake is a good brand
For anyone who wants to do this build and does not like this case go ahead and search the Montech air 100 ARGB it’s about 60$ and I have it moreover it comes with 4 built in fans and it’s really nice, there’s a black version and a white version of it to match your build
That’s a great case as well
here’s a link to one on Amazon for anyone interested amzn.to/4e8mUPT
The overheating is a GPU problem, not a you problem. AMD says its normal for them to reach up to 100°C. You can modify the temperatures by apply thermal pads and paste onto it.
He successfully defused the bomb
Good job, but that PC must remain open, if you close it the 400w of consumption produce a lot of heat which is not dissipated
I almost bought that psu for my first PC and the saleperson saved me. I just flipped the same build a few weeks ago. Love your videos.
Can you do a setup for around 2k, but has 2 monitors? I want to go for a good setup with 2 monitors
Remember that fortnite on amd gpus runs better on dx 12 for some reason, mine does, I have a 6600xt and it runs better on dx 12 than performance mode and dx 11 milage may vary.
Really nice PC build and video as usual
consoles are less faff and maintenance but i think this is better for most people
Why did bro place the cooler wrong. if im mistaken please tell me but the
Amd logo is supposed to be at the opposite side
I have the same configuration!
Let's be honest, consoles are getting hotter than 85°C and doing worse quality/fps in Cyberpunk. If the GPU is not throttling, it's obviously designed to run ok at those temps. I would maybe place that front fan halfway over the middle and bottom fan mounts so that more air goes under the fan. Nice work!
personally I would spend a TEENY bit more and try to get a 6600, but still, a great build.
hey am i able to reach out to you on anything to talk about my PC, running into some display issues and I'm not sure what to do
I have a Ryzen 5 3600, im trying to get either a RTX 2060 super or RX 6600 or 5700XT...theyre all in a similar price range in my country... I'd like to do some streaming as well but not sure if the RX 6600/5700XT would handle it well compared to the 2060 Super
5700xt is fine.
is it ok if i use the nvdia rtx 2060 instead of the amd ryzen rx5700xt
i don't know why people always use 500$ price tag for consoles comparison. ps5 has digital Ver with 400$ price tag. this is a price that all of these people must use for comparison. their pc doesn't have blu ray so the 400$ Ver of the console is make sense.
Very nice CPU, Please next time try warzone too!
To be honest, high fps doesn’t really matter that much in rpgs, but it definitely does in E-sports. I think the pc packs way more value.
should i get this 1900$ pc it was orignally 1300$ ut i customized it a bit by adding a rtx 4060 and adding 6tb of storage for when i stream and upload better youtube vidoes but should i get the pc or make my own one
10:20 bro! You are pushing the hot air right into the wall!!!
Of course your temps will suck!!!
lol!
Just turn the pc 90 degrees!
Pc perks are always better remember console looks better than any 500usd pc because you dont have options to make the game look like trash to get better fps and also no crashing and overheating as much as pcs
Im planning to get into gaming again but I cannot find a reliable monitor for 1080p 144hz gaming abd Im on a really tight budget. I found many cheap ones but they arent available in germany. I used to have the benq zowie xl2411p so Im looking for a esports optimized monitor
AOC aoc 24g2spu
I think that for console killer PC even stretching to 650 USD would be fair. I mean, with a PC you have access to a catalog larger than the 3 main consoles combined.
anything better for cooling?
All parts are 2x more expensive in australia not including 100 dollar postage
You should include windows 10 key since its a new build
what is a good gpu for this build, I cant find any
damn the gpu at 90c thats crazy
The console is still better in my opinion, most of the games u played run at higher settings and resolutions but granted those are dynamic and for someone who just wants to play the game, console is better bc you just boot the game up and it works, pc you gotta trouble shoot sometimes, and that why I play my consoles over my pc sometimes bc I don’t feel like trouble shooting and spending quite some time tryna fix and issue. My pc is considerable better than my series x, there’s that
Pc does have its benefits tho, it’s more versatile and you can do more with it but for tv and gaming consoles are better for the price Depending on what u do
in consoles you can only play their games on that specific device, in PC you can play nintendo, xbox, and ps5
@@deathtoinfidelsdeusvult2184 yea that’s true, most ps games are coming to pc now like the last of us
i spent less than 500 and got a i7-8700k with an aio cooler and a rx6600 500 fps on unlimited
Next build:
Motherboard: Huananzhi X99 QD4
Cpu: Xeon E5 1660 v3
Ram: 4x8gb DDR4 ecc
Gpu: RX 5700 XT
Cpu Cooler: Snowman 6 heatpipe cooler
SSD: Kingspec 1TB
Case: Locally sourced
Power supply: Locally sourced.
overclock the xeon and performance in games will be between a Ryzen 7 3700x and 5700x
Have fun :)
Here’s what I think. Console is for people who want to relax, not deal with drivers and other pc things, and for those people who don’t particularly care about performance or graphics and just want a simple machine to enjoy some games. Pc is for the people who want more than console has to offer and more mod capability etc for those who enjoy tinkering a little more like myself lol
You’re probably and Nvidia guy lol the 5700 and 5700xt cards are meant to run at 80c. Even with an underclock they still run hot but that is perfectly normal for that card. Good job with the build, i would suggest a better CPU cooler and front fans for the case though
Can you add a gpu fan to it
Ok can someone in here help me I use a Xbox series s for games it’s good but I want to move to pc I live in Ireland so it’s harder to get the computer components what should I do
My main game is Fortnite I play on ps4 (60fps) is this pc build a good option
the PS5 run cyberpunk on 4k FSR B med settings ultra textures
fun fact. The rx 5700xt is actually the same chip used in ps5
Sadly the rx5700 is not going for that any more i have around £130 for a gpu and cant find one
Yeauh 👍🏻
i got 165hz 27inch monitor for 30$ while they are around 170$ used now ordered 2x 24inch 144hz monitors for 50$both wish me luck
Wait, didn't you get some parts used? Since when do you pay taxes on used parts, when buying from a private seller? ôo I'm confused.
the case was the problem if the case had more area and fans the temp would have been ok
No
Power supplies can be a weird one. I bought a AeroCool Integrator Mod Xt 750W Power Supply, which is Semi-Modular and 80 Plus Bronze rated, back at the end of 2018. According to various tier lists and commenters it should have apparently blown me up several times over. Yet it's powering my current gaming PC (Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX 3060, 2 SSDS, 3 hard drives, an optical drive) five years later with absolutely no issues. I do wonder if people have ever actually used one before judging it an IED.
Nice vid, but for 25 more bucks you could have gotten ryzen 5 5600, but i understand shy due to budget constraints
hi what graphic card and motherboard would you recommend with 56000? budget freindly
B450 motherboard should be Good and you can get upto 3070 ti but i recommend 3060 or 2070 super or 2060 super
Why was the game recording so choppy?
im just confused about the part where you enter the name and password, is there a way to bypass that so when the customer powers on the pc, it automatically goes to the desktop screen in windows?
dont have the pc connected to the internet if you dont want to activate windows on first startup
what is causing the low 1% low? how to increase?
When you benchmark fortnite on an amd gpu use dx 12 as it works way better with amd gpus and gives you more fps
thank you for the insight :D
you need activate smart access
