Can you elaborate more on the problems you had with UberFlex hose? When you first tested it, you said it's not a big deal, just a bit surge on the initial pull, but at the end you said it does have some problems. Did you notice any more serious problems other than the surge at the beginning?
Yes. Sorry I was at 26 minutes and was pressed for time. I’ll be doing another video on this issue. It was surging and also was shaking the machine. I would get intermittent performance issues. Surging, weird noises, etc. Hope that helps.
Great review! Agree 100% with you. Maybe active would consider the stubby gun as a possible optional upgrade. I love my active 2.3 & active 2.0 I’m waiting for the Big Boi pro 17amp. Keep up the great content
I’m not sure if they can. ‘Safety’ regulations mandated the long gun with a pw. OG got around that and started the trend of giving the option for no gun, hose, etc. Not sure why Active stopped offering that option. Since most of the customers they are marketing this to already have a good gun, hose, etc. money would be my guess. They’re of course going to charge more for it with them included so they’ll make profit per unit. Just like that ridiculous metal tube frame that no one wants.
Great thorough review! I received mine a few days ago and absolutely love it. I couldn't agree with you more regarding the foam blaster and the wand. At least your foam blaster produces some foam. Some reviewers are only getting water no matter what they do to it. Maybe owners of the 2.3 will receive a coupon code for their new foam cannon when it's available. I'm using the 60' steel braided hose from Adam's and having no issues with it. It's a great value for what you get.
@@AutoHeadz Yes sir, the Adam's hose has a swivel on one end and comes with stainless steel female QD's. It's a great hose for sure for the price. I haven't even unrolled the one that came with my 2.3. Adam's website says there's only one 60 footer left. Better hurry if you want it.
I just snagged one of these units for prosumer level detailing. I was able to get a serious discount on a 50ft Blu Shield Kevlar reinforced hose which claims to be more flexible than steel braiding and lighter. Might be a good compromise if it works out.
Great review appreciate the honesty and the detail. I’ve watched three or four these reviews. I have yet to hear an explanation as to what makes this any better than the 2.0 why would I want to buy this if I have a 2.0? Is it possible to come up with GPM chart, that X amount of gallons = X of GPM. 2.25 gallons of water is always going to equal the same amount of GPM. You’re all using the same formula. I don’t know why we’re doing the calculations each time it’s the same. Great job
Can you do a psi, gpm and amperage test of different nozzle size like the 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 as well as amperage test for 1.3mm and 1.25mm to see if it’s stays under 15amps?
Just bought one. Love it, but looking for extra foam orifices, but thus far no luck. Did find some 1.5s, but haven’t checked the performance with them yet. Bottom line though is almost 1k psi and over two gpm is perfect for car applications which is all I care about.
Yeah it’s definitely a beast. Let me know if you find some orifices that work well for you. I’ve been using the 2.3 all summer. So far I’m very happy. Only gripe is the size and weight. I need to get it mounted and stream line my setup because moving that thing is a beast.
I have been using a 2.0 since pre order I would say I am definitely a prosumer not detailing cars professionally but I wash 2-3 cars a week (my own) and have had 3 fail on me. Just filed a clam again and now waiting for my 4th unit to arrive when this one dies my warranty will be up so I think this or maby stepping to a kranzle will be the next move.
Yeah, that’s a fair amount of use. I think you would like the 2.3 then. I didn’t want to say it in the video but the service ability I think will make this pressure washer last many many years just messing with it for the past two days you can tell, it’s a workhorse
Hi there! Thanks for your detailed review, glad to see you're happy with the unit's performance! Just a small clarification: you aren't limited to use the 4.6 nozzle that comes with the 2.3. Users are free to use the ones they wish, just make sure you're not going over 15A to avoid damaging the microswitch and capacitator. Beyond that, have fun!
Great video, this is everything a prosumer wants to know. I use and love the Active 2.0 for my mobile detailing business. Once I get a van and build it out I will most certainly be considering the Active 2.3.
Bigboi pro is kranzle killer and any other electric consumer and industrial pressure washers in the market. Its built like a tank because of the Triplex plunger pumps are the highest quality pressure washer pumps, offering longer life and better performance. While kranzle uses axial pump. Axial cam pumps are direct drive, meaning they spin at the same speed as the engine. They will wear down faster than a triplex pump, but provide a great deal of pressure and performance.
Idk. Definitely a great and possibly better option and a better price for home/shop use than Kranzle. However Kranzle is self priming and can draw from a water tank without needing to be gravity fed. So in my opinion Kranzle is still a better option for Mobil detailing if you have the budget.
@@hippopotimusstew Self priming and thats the reason why this kranzle has more service problem due to not working of the pressure. So you are ending up buying the parts and youll be lucky if you know how to dismanltle it to change the parts.
