Pat will forever hold a special place in my heart, I had been watching him ride BMX my whole life and I was honestly star struck and a little nervous to hang out with him the 1st time, but he turned out to be just like you guys all were saying, instantly he felt like a “Best Friend” and I feel so blessed to have been able to create memories that I will remember forever with him. Going to miss Pat’s Dip 360 Tailwhips which still no one does better, crazy Nitro Circus practices where he was learning insane new NBD’s every stop, listening to his grunting laugh after doing something dangerous, funny or both. Being one of the greatest BMX’ers of all time as well as an incredible father and husband to his beautiful family, Dennis said it best “The best all-round human” Love you Pat❤️
Thank you, Ryan, Dennis, Kevin, and Andy, for doing this. I know it was very difficult to pull this together while hurting so much inside and out. Thank you!❤ Pat, we will always love and honor you and your family. ALWAYS! ❤ Thank you.❤
I remember when Mirra passed that I couldn't quite comprehend people saying things like, "you forget your idols aren't invincible" but I think I get it now. It's not quite a literal statement but more like saying, "I'm so amazed at what that person does in their craft that I forgot they are a normal human as well" I was always so blown away by Pat as a rider and a father that I never even thought about this being a possibility, even though that's obviously irrational.
If this doesn’t bring tears to you while listening to this, or If this doesn’t make you laugh or smile at all of the good times and people Pat has touched or inspired, then you don’t know what the true bmx community is about. Ride in paradise Pat
I never got any opportunity to meet Pat, I only saw all the riding he did, saw things about his house, his family, and the impact he seemed to make on BMX. I realized when he died that it was a big loss and I was so sad for his family and his kids loosing their dad. Having a 7 year old son myself, it hits so hard now seeing parents die. Seeing all the posts all over the internet and people talking about who he really was and how he lived his life made me realize that his loss was so much bigger than I had even realized at first, and also just what a gift is must have been to have known him. Pat seemed like one of the very best role-models a human could be in all aspects of life and I've realized that I want nothing more but to leave this earth being a person like him. I can only aspire to make a fraction of the impact on this world that he seemed to have made but I will absolutely use his legacy as an inspiration to myself and to those around me to be the very best people we can be. I wish I could have met him
Such a nice tribute, loved to hear about all the insider info you guys have about him. He really was an outstanding guy and i'm heartbroken for his family. I'm the same age and I've been watching him from the start, I was always amazed by how he always pushed further, always all in even though he had so much responsibility being a father and stuff. He made his dream his life, his backyard, house and family are the things everyone dream about and he had it, which is why it's almost harder that he's gone now. As time went on I really started to worry about him because he slammed harder than anyone else, although he got back up everytime amazingly he had more to lose than most people his age, but because he is superhuman nothing could stop him and that's f-ing inspiring. Man what a tragedy I'm gutted everytime I'm reminded of him. RIP Pat you legend, sending all the strength to his wife and kids, you are legends too.
That was something special guys. Seeing 4 grown men crying for their friend is beautiful. Maybe a jam or comp for pat once a year where donations are taken for his family would be something to consider😊 Much love and respect for you guys. God bless
I've watched Pat through his entire BMX Career, even before becoming Pro, seeing all his crazy videos. Dude would have been cool to meet and ride with. His friends and family truly lost someone special. My thoughts are with all of you in these tough times. Shred on Pat.
Good to see you guys come together and do the podcast for Pat. Do a little healing for yourselves. Our prayers are with his family ,& you guys. I really hope you guys stay positive and keep pushing forward! Pat Casey forever!
You guys should honestly set up episodes like this where you just talk about how awesome one specific rider is for the entire episode. They don't have to be there as that is awkward but everyone always says the best stuff about people after they are gone, should do it while they are still with us so they can hear all of these amazing things you say.
Thank you for putting this out and for sharing your story’s about Pat. This is part of the healing process. The one take away from this podcast is, to be grateful. Thank you Pat for pushing our sport and making it what it is today. Thank you Unclicked for the good BMX content from week to week. I truly appreciate you guys.
I have never cried so much over a “celebrity” death. I’ve never met Pat and I literally don’t know any of you guys but being a fan of him for so many years and Stack that on top of seeing the effect it has on his friends and family I don’t know why but this has hit me really hard personally I hope you guys find solace knowing that he loves you guys too
Thank you so much for this episode. I haven’t really processed the news since the shock of it wore off but this 2hr tribute to all his best qualities really nails what made Pat great. Also thanks to everyone on this episode for being so honest and vulnerable. We have a history in bmx of always trying to be macho about everything but we are humans that have to experience sad and tragic things and it was great to hear pros talking openly and brutally honestly about it.
Thanks for this guys. Remembering myself watching the Fise and all of your videos / contests from France and of all the power, dedication and respect that was coming from all of you was mindblowing. Thanks for BMX, thanks for all, and RIP Pat.
As a 48 year old ex-BMXer and a Dad, I think one of the best things y’all (his friends) can do is let his kids know how loved and respected he was as a man. Not just as a BMXer. They will definitely appreciate that. Always be the “cool uncle” to them.
Pat was never a friend of mine but growing up in Riverside county and both of us having a lot of mutual friends i had the chance to get to know him and become acquainted with him and his family. Easily the most genuinely great human I’ve ever met. Even not being close to the level everyone I was riding with was on he made me still feel like I should be there anyway and just to have fun and not get discouraged by everyone else. Man I miss him. #patcaseyforever
Really hope Xgames does a tribute special for Pat like they did for Mirra. Thanks for doing this guys. Loved hearing the party stories and session stories.
this was so hard to watch i had to come back to it 4 times... it still doesnt feel real and only a handful of riders had that personality to back up their insane abilities but Pat could do it and was able to push outside of the BMX community that took him in and he repaid it in full and more. Its crazy how the best riders with that amazing spark are capable of pushing and making a name outside of BMX as a whole. Rest in peace Pat, we'll all ride on for you and will never forget you or your impact on BMX.
I love Kevin’s reference to Ben Hennon cos he lives in my town. Pat is always gonna be awesome and I appreciate how tough it is for the people close to him. However this podcast is very inspirational. 🤟
Damn great episode Rip Pat. I have been putting this one off for a little but I couldn’t stop literally after starting it . I’d like to see a clip of him snapping his bars. Ride High up there Pat your a huge inspiration
Wow this is a non stop tear. But respect. Not alot of the bmx TH-cam posers even talked about this. You guys are awesome for doing so. Now go ride harder then ever knowing you have a gardian angel now. ❤
It was me that left the insensitive comment on your channel. You are correct about how I googled his net worth. I love BMX and a fan of Peraza and Casey. My point was from a prospective of seeing individuals take advantage of people opening they're wallets to "go fund me accounts" when the money wasn't needed. I have only watched your channel a couple times and didn't know how close you were/ are to Pat and his family. Before this podcast I didn't know how close any of you guys were to Pat or his family. As fans, most of us just watch you guys compete and know nothing behind the seen. My apologies.
Never forget meeting Pat the first time going to his parents home and riding his ramp his Dad was pushing him so hard I was thinking to myself like damn this dudes dad is wild as hell
damn didnt know he passed away i remember seeing him compete at x games back in april or may, and come to find out he died on my bday. he's always been one of my favs, every competition i watch i always look to see if he's in it and look forward to seeing what he pulls off. he was extremely talented and a great person. RIP
R.I.P pat I never knew him or anything but you can see what he did in this world and the impact he left what a great guy , so happy the Bmx world is showing love to his family sad day when he passed but a legacy that will live forever inside anyone that knows
I didn’t know Pat that well but have spent some time with him the last couple years at contests. I’ll miss that guy forever. Always making me laugh and pushing me out of my comfort zone. Pat fuckin Casey forever❤️🕊️
Thanks guys I only saw him a once In my life at Malaga World Cup , but the message of him passing away really hurt me . I hope his family will continue living best life … and what about the video from Czech Republic he filmed ? Thank you
Ride In Peace. Never met Pat, but dude seemed like he was a good dude on and off the bike. Definitely a bummer, and a reminder to do your best every day to have fun and just enjoy not just your bicycle but family, friends and other stuff that gets more important as you age. It seemed like Pat could handle anything, his yard alone is SAVAGE! But life can be fragile I’ve found out the hard way personally twice. I felt worse for my family than anything. Just let the people you care about know that you care about them. Say hi to people, be a human being. Seems like Pat was the ideal specimen. R. I. P and best wishes. -Schnell
i think this is where they could have spoke more on, maybe at a later date we could learn more on how, why and what the bmx community could learn from this. RIP
Every spoke I snap imma hold up and have a moment of silence for pat and Dave. You guys are true friends , every-time I slam. I’ll hear it too. Get up bitch let’s work. Legendary you guys. 🙌🏽🫡

Love you Pat❤️
Stay healthy brother, and keep pushing
Very well said RWilly!! Thank you for everything you give to bmx
❤️❤️
Between pat and Luke. A lot of losses, and learning to appreciate our time here with the ones we care about is a positive take away from this.
Thank you, Ryan, Dennis, Kevin, and Andy, for doing this. I know it was very difficult to pull this together while hurting so much inside and out. Thank you!❤ Pat, we will always love and honor you and your family. ALWAYS! ❤ Thank you.❤
Thanks Sean. 🤝🤝
The podcast i wish i never needed… RIP Pat, all the riding world from bmx, mtb to mx is sad ❤

Rest in Paradise, Pat! Thank you for blessing the BMX world!
This is gonna be a tough one

Thank you for doing this episode, I didn’t expect to cry as much as I did. Pat forever!
Thank you Ryan, Dennis, Kevin & Andy. Loved hearing just a little bit more about the amazing person Pat Casey is. His legacy lives on ❤
Damn this one will pull on the heart strings a bit. #patcaseyforever

Yeah, not a fun thought to be on camera emotional, but we needed to get it done. Thank you, Mat!
Thanks for this guys.
Remembering myself watching the Fise and all of your videos / contests from France and of all the power, dedication and respect that was coming from all of you was mindblowing.
Thanks for BMX, thanks for all, and RIP Pat.
Ryan idk but I think it would be cool to make the unclicked logo of Pat doing the turndown would be so sick!!
