that is Cornette's made up version, that can be easily dismissed. It was ROH show, Kenny was injured, and as joke sent a picture of a half-rotting foot to the guys in charge. Everybody got the joke except Cornette. Actually he had only a light injury that kept him away from the ring, but he was able to travel. So the same night, he appeared in a Japanese award show. There was no wrestling involved. The thing is that this show is on tape, so it is easy to confirm that this is the true story.

Correction on the Santino story: it wasn't an angle, he was a crowd filler and purposefully tried to kill a gimmick corny had tried to get over. He overreacted but he had a right to be angry.
It was his first day and Santino wasn't told anything. He was sitting with his young daughter and didn't want to frighten her. It was basically a wrong place at the wrong time situation. that is Cornette's made up version, that can be easily dismissed. It was ROH show, Kenny was injured, and as joke sent a picture of a half-rotting foot to the guys in charge. Everybody got the joke except Cornette. Actually he had only a light injury that kept him away from the ring, but he was able to travel.
So the same night, he appeared in a Japanese award show. There was no wrestling involved. The thing is that this show is on tape, so it is easy to confirm that this is the true story.
