Depends on the current you balance your weight so that you can get to the bottom but you don't want to tangle up in the bottom so you got to kind of balance the size of the lure it can be small if you're fishing for smaller fish but you still have to get enough jig head wait to get it down so you're ticking bottom. If they'r feeding up by the surface like they hit as soon as it hits then it's Cat Scratch Fever and you gotta use a lighter jig.
Thanks for the tips. The curly tail does get caught on the barb form me sometimes. Dang will now rig tail down, never thought of it. For Sandies, We like 3" curly tail grub in "Pearl" seems to really catch good. Better than white or yellow, strait up Pearl.
This is the 2 1/4 inch size. There are two sizes and i have fished both. The smaller size will catch all sizes of fish but this size will tend to only catch the bigger ones.
I want out on keystone lake this Sunday, an while my jug lines where soaking I want trolled with that clear/green lure an managed to pick up three white bass, and man they are fun to catch. so I just wanted to say thanks for the tips man great video :)
Casey Picardi I read somewhere that most people are born with extra fingers,so they cut them at birth. However, the parents can choose wether or not to cut them off
Hmongs are good fishermen, but they've not got it right yet. I think for white bass, they strike anything looking like a minnow. So to save bait, go with a Kastmaster or Rooster tail. But, if you want to do grubs, they are better ones out there. Trust me.
How about sinkers sizes and types used?
Great instructions- I never gave it that much thought about how to rig it like that. Thanks! I can tell you guys fish a lot- great insights!

Whats the biggest wiper you've caught on a 1/8 oz or smaller jig? I caught several baby whites and wipers yday on this rig, one 13" white.
Thanks for the tips.

i use the 1/8 and 1/4 ounce. i switch back and forth depending on if the fish is biting higher or lower in the water depths.

These will work for crappie and i have caught many before. Best colors are red head white body and pink head all green body.
