wonderful, I can't wait for the video about Dubrovnik. But next time you must visit the Istrian peninsula in northwestern Croatia and the cities of Rovinj, Porec, Pula, Motovun, Groznjan , the smallest city in the world Hum and Brijuni Nationalpark...
Croatia is my favorite travel destination in Europe, so many beatuiful towns. When I was in Omis I hiked to the top forteress, it was quite a adventurous hike.
The mountain backdrop of Markaska is breathtaking! I first saw it by boat and was blown away. I also loved Omiš, such an underrated destination in Croatia.
Omis is a city of pirates. they were the strongest lords of the Mediterranean in the 12th and 13th centuries. Venice had to pay for free navigation in the Adriatic. the fort you visited is a pirate's tower with a view to monitor and control the sea zone
It is old pirates town. The river is Cetina .Pirates attack a boats and than running away in to the hills , with small boots, Thay take Cetina river from escape .
Thank you guys, love this. Omis and Makarska, true gems, visited in 2016. Been waiting for decent vlogs, as there is not any. Love your content, always following your adventures. Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa.
That sunset rainbow was amazing ! Never seen anything like that, a really rare phenomenon I would say so you were really lucky to be there to witness it and capture it on camera for us 😊
Love Croatia and have been there twice. Cannot visit again as our exchange rate makes it very expensive. Unfortunately when you don't have Euro's or Dollars traveling becomes very expensive. Lovely videos and thank you it brings back memories of visiting there.
Buy cheap low fare airplane ticket, do rent rooms privately and buy food in local stores and it will be 10X cheaper. I am Croatian and I do this all the time, it is expensive for all of us not only you.
@@_TheMax_ Thank you for the advice. On my last two trips I did exactly what you said. Also used public transport and buses from city to city. I visited when Croatia did not use the Euro. I am South African and the current exchange rate to the Euro is 1Euro = 20 South African Rand's. So in effect I pay 20 times the price. But I love Croatia and if I could afford it I would be back and visit.
Woah!!! What a great stop, that was an incredible sunset. Being there must've felt so euphoric. By far one of if not the best sunset you two have captured. 📸🌅
Man, I live in Omiš. You should be hired for a promo video about Omiš. And you did this for free...let me know when you're passing through town again so I can treat you to local delicacies💯
I'll also pass by around Oct 8-15. Croatia 🇭🇷 is the most beautiful country for me and my favourite travel destination. Been inlove on your country the very first time ive been there on 2021.😍 love from a Filipino traveller 🇵🇭 living here in Finland 🇫🇮
I agree with you that this part of Croatia - Split, Makarska - has a breathtaking natural beauty and these places are more beutiful than the more popular Split. I've been in Omis on honeymoon and we've tried out even kayaking at river Cetina. It was fun, nice memories. 😎 I love your videos ❤️ Thank you Carol and Chris!
Such a shame you haven’t had much blue sky and sunshine guys, it sparkles and is just breathtaking in the sunshine. Loved our stay in Makarska last October (defo no ferris wheel then!). Sadly you’ve missed Brela, Baska Voda and Tucepi, never mind…next time! That sunset was out of this world! 😍 enjoy Dubrovnik.
yeah although the benefit of the bad weather on this day is that we got the sunset rainbow because of it :D Those places look so beautiful, our 2 weeks in Croatia are definitely not enough and we could see so many stunning little beach villages during our coastal drive, wanted to visit them all!
Obrigado Obrigada Pulando Locais Chris e Carol Trabalho de Equipe ..... 19:27 -> ! AWESOME ! ...next level presentation....very rare video capture...(It's because Carol was driving....)
Thank you for the excellent video and for promoting Croatia! We appreciate your efforts in highlighting hidden places that are not well-known, not only on the coast but also inland. I see that you visited before the start of the season, probably at the end of May or the beginning of June. During the season, the crowds here are much larger. It’s impossible to walk freely through the old town, and it’s hard to find a spot for a towel on the beach, especially in Makarska and neighboring places like Brela and Baška Voda. I would recommend seeking additional advice from locals when you travel. In any case, you are doing a great job... However, I must point out that you pronounce the names of Croatian places quite poorly. 😁 Omiš is pronounced "Oh-mish". Makarska is pronounced "Mah-karska" (with emphasis on the first two letters). Brač is pronounced "Brach" (like cheetah but with a stronger 'ch').
Exceptionally outstanding travel vlogs Jumping Places!! Thank you for your hard hard work!! Our families plan all vacations with the help of your content!! Congratulations and best wishes for all your future explorations!!
Beautiful! Croatia is special. Beaches may be rocky (tip: it's worth buying water shoes - also for the sea urchins) but there are so many non-beach spectacular places to swim...nearly around every bend. Enjoy!
Love Makarska and the mountains that wrap around this beautiful town is just breathtaking. Can’t wait to see your Dubrovnik trip. Your channel is fantastic, the editing and overall production quality is superb. Always look forward to watching you both on your adventures.
2:30 oh it is specially in August, I remember when I was there about 8 years ago and where you are walking through it was all full of people, all restaurants were full all the time
Love the way you guys present my country and cannot wait to see your thoughts about Dubrovnik. The prices in the old town are quite high though, but I hope you will love it. I feel sorry that you drove from Makarska to Dubrovnik during the dark hours because that rode is probably amongst the most scenic in Croatia. Wish I was there to show you around and buy you a beer, but still sailing the Atlantic (towards Azores now). Hopefully next time.
Great video. Love the off the beaten path gems where there are no crowds. Picturesque! Plus that rainbow sunset. 😮 watching you guys get closer to 400K followers. You so deserve it. I'll be here for 1M. Really enjoyable video. Thanks
Makarska is my fave..wish you guys seen it in peak season..oh so busy but in a good way..long as you dont drive main strip for any reason lol..that beach though..with that mountain though..im going this week there btw haha
You should see Omis now, in this part of the year, full of tourists. But, i guess you picked the best time to come and visit all you wanted without crowd around. Its nice to see your hometown through somebodys else eyes 😊
Still watching but that first place looks amazing...you're about to begin the boat trip and you mentioned you were going into a gorge. And I had just been thinking....I have not been there, but from videos I've seen-- it reminds me of the famous gorge in France!
We have loved following you on your journey through Croatia. In 2010 we free camped at that exact resting point you stopped at on your way to Dubrovnik. It was a great spot at night to watch the lights of the traffic on that road. Our favorite town to visit was Rovinj, on the northern Croatian coast.
We don't read letter "c" as in english, we have letter k for that. 😂 "C" is pronounced like the "ts" sound in the word "cats" or "bits." K is simple as "k" in King. Brač(ch) is not letter "c" or "k" to be as you pronounce "Brak" (marriage in Croatian lol), it is Brach. Omiš is like Omish. I'm glad you stopped on coastline south of the Split, has many nice places, coves and beaches with cleanest sea one can imagine. Split is huge town, 2nd largest, we locals prefer to drive 30mins down the coast to spend the day on the beach.

Wow! What a stellar ending to the video. Thanks for the great content. LOVE Croatia
really was unreal!
I was two years ago on short trip to Croatia. It’s beautiful need to go back.
The mountain backdrop of Markaska is breathtaking! I first saw it by boat and was blown away. I also loved Omiš, such an underrated destination in Croatia.
Your videos about Croatia are excellent, enjoy and have a pleasant trip ❤ 🇭🇷
Cheers!

definitely a good sneaky hideout place :D
That was an amazing sunset/rainbow. Wow Makarska is quite striking. Thanks for the video.
