I just bought it today and its driving me crazy, Im having soooo soo much trouble installing the apps that I must go back to the store for help, I should have bought the samsung a72, the only reason I bought this nova 8 is for the camera and damn, it feels I just have a camera now and not a fucking phone, I regret so much buying. I hate I have to go back since my dad just die of Covid the 3rd of this month and im terrified to go out, but here I must go out again thanks to the issues with app store. Thanks Huawei, you just broke my heart and my trust in you.

If your ready to give up google services dependences you will be alright, dont expect sideload etc you will be fine there is a misunderstanding about huawei phones that they are unusable so even latest phones drop really fast in price you will be able to spot a great deal with a decent device for much less

I switched back to iPhone and I feel much better about my phone now. I think marami pang cheaper and better options than this device.
So this one runs EMUI 11 with Android 10 base and the "global" variant in Russia has EMUI 12 based upon Android 11. While the device shown here had the EMUI12 / HarmonyOS design. I am confused. Are you too or can you clearify that for us?
It should be a low budget phone for a low budget specifications. Xiaomi has better phones and better specs that comes with reasonable price. With 90hz and not 5g no google with under 4000mah battery is just cost under 7k. This phone will not kick in here in the Philippines. I know now why james reid switch to oppo when he was the ambassador of nova series. Huawei must release a budget phone with great specs for great price.

I hope the version with Kirin 985 SoC will also become available here in the Philippines. I hate the global version that only has Kirin 820E SoC because its only hexa core and it has poor performance.
This nova 8 battery draining is better than realme gt master edition and oppo reno 5. You thought is just only a 3800 weak battery but if u use this phone you only charge 1 time 1 one day compared other 4500 battery capacity

What I like about this review is it uses our own Pop idols instead of the Kpop ones, not that I am against it since I am a Kpop fan as well. But hey, we need a wider audience. ☺️

No google is okay it's not a big deal for me. Lot of ways to get apps i need. And the battery is a bit lessen but it has a 66w so im not worry

Nova 7 and nova 8 i did my decision to nova 7 because same specs but the design of nova 8 is more elegant rather than nova 7

Expect it will be as powerful as 985 if you had tried 820 which is a powerful balanced chip, this one is an upgrade

The Huawei nova 8 has kirin 820 chipset with no Google services but the Huawei nova 8 pro has kirin 985 chipset but no longer Google services.

Aluminosilicate glass un screen component. Rear cover is Glass naman.
