Way I learnt these was learning backside crooks on rails, I'd noticed that missing the crook I'd end up catching it on the back truck, so it was just learning how to do that but have my weight shifted the other way. Also found doing back boardslides then dipping the front and hooking the back into feeble position a really handy way of building up confidence and being comfortable with it before popping straight into the feeble. Although different things for different people.
Exactly, if somebody wants to have good 50-50's on rails he must actually learn how to lock in properly... I've learned that the outer wheels must actually touch the side of the rail, like a 50 50 on a ledge, else is going to be really risky to do a 50 50 on a rail...
This video was more helpful than others I've seen. Also, the instructor was easy and fun to listen to. Gets a thumbs up from me!I'd like to see in more tutorials someone trying the trick who isn't good at it. The comparison to the instructor, who does it perfect every try, would give the viewer an idea of what's gonna happen when they try it, as well as show the progression from the first attempt to mastery of the trick. Thanks!
hey bud, the tip that helped me start landing smiths and feebles is, it sounds counter intuitive, but when you get locked into it push out and away with your front foot. imagine your you board is the hands of a clock, push your front foot out to 10:00(ten o'clock)
+clay collins guess I should clarify, I don't mean to push down, but just out and away. it will help with how your weight is distributed over your back foot.
it will be very cool if you make a video where gabe learns this trick because I can get the truck in the feeble grind position but I can't grind it. sorry for my bad English I'm from Italy
NEXT its literally got nothing to do with background knowledge, everyone has preferences and different strengths, I learnt feeble before 5050 and find it way way easier, besides theres no need to be bitching #shutupandgoskate
try doing it on a box first it's a lot easier to commit and actually lock your tail. Just a quick tip if you didnt know, do not attempt to do a 180 because that's not how youre gonna lock your tail, think of it as a 90 degree 5-0 slide, thats how youre gonna lock your tail perfectly on the ledge/rail
Locked into this today never tried tricks on rail accept boardy fs and back. I was going ham trying to learn this trick didn't get it but still charging to land it... it was on a flat bar rail. locked into five o and 50-50 too! got me hooked on skating again just checking this out for tips..
Took me a long time to learn feebles. After many months i found out that while im setting up i have to keep my body straight and when i get into the grind. The whole time I was leaning forward while setting up and would try to lean back and grind. But it wouldn’t work out
Hey Aaron, I'd really like to see a Fs Smith and Fs Tailslide on a ledge tutorial. Anyways awesome tutorial and keep up the good work love your channel.
Hey aaron i'm having trouble with my bs feebles i can do all the basic tricks with ease and i can do almost all the intermediate tricks except for fs flips on rails i can bs board slide fs board slide but fs boards feel more comfortable for me and i don'u know why but every time i try to do a bs feeble all i do is a wack bs board and i do have a pretty good ollie i can ollie 3 decks at the most i just can't lock in, any advice?
Steven Boyko Try rolling up at less of an angle, you should almost be parallel with the rail. also don't turn while you're in the air. Just do a straight ollie and you'll lock in
is this really the easiest grind? front nose hits the ground every time... i can barely feeble when the rail is low, but when the rail is high, front nose hits the ground and then i die.
I feel like this video left some questions unanswered. Like should I learn the 50-50 first or go straight into the feeble after I learn board slides? Also does this trick lock in or is it loose like the 50-50? Don't leave me hangin', man.
I personally think 50-50 is like 100× harder then feeble if you can boardslide with no problem go for feeble, and it locks on the rail so perfect you wont move around sometimes you will tweak it more but its all good, if you got boardslide down i say go for it!
someone please help. I am getting onto the rail fine, when I get on im barely sliding and the board goes down forward causing me to jump off. I don't feel like I am really locking on when doing this trick. Please help.
lol i could do pretty much any grind ..but a backside feeble was one of the onyl grinds i could not do lol was scare shitless of it..just hated thinking i would fall backward while landign int oa boardslide lol
I use to have these np when I was younger.. but now my board flips over when I try to get out of it. I can lock it and hold it all day when I come out I land primo or my board is upside down..
In confused, I thought a feeble was when your from heel faced the rail, while a smith, your front toe faces the rail? Can someone explain it to me thanks
Just think of it this way. A feeble gring is when your front truck goes on the opposite side of the rail from where youre standing. A smith grind is when your front truck is on the same side of the rail from where youre standing. Baskwith made a good video about this called how to tell the difference between feeble and smith.
My first Grinds on round rails... 5050, 5-0, Crook, Nousegrind, Overcrook, Smith, Feeble... but Aaron is right.. feeble is not that hard but hard to commit!!
FS Feeble are easier to get into because you can see the obstacle easier, but they are harder to balance. Going backwards is scary and more dangerous, too. If you fall on a FS Feeble you can trip and really get hurt.
I've been skateboarding for 15 years. I can crook, front feeb, smith, lip, bigspin board, even treflip lip.... but I have only done 1 bs feeble EVER and it was on a dinky 36 inch long slant rail hah..
When I was a kid I could do back feebles on flatbars no problem, but now that I'm an adult I completely lost that trick. But I do have front feebles dialed. weird, huh?
It's recommended to lock them in if you want to do a 50-50 on a rail, else the board is going to flip around and that's not very nice, especially on a rail...
Yeah with backside 50-50s most people lock in on round rails with their front truck pushing back and their back truck pushing forward, but with frontside most people just lock in with both of their trucks pushed forwards
I learned backside 5050 on a ledge, then i tried to treat it like a back 50, but get your front truck over it. Then ya know, lean back and slight pop out or you could primo.
Shit man I wish I lived in California. Woodward looks like their skate parks are sooooo sick! Three skate parks I want to go to: 1. Ollies Skate Park 2. Woodward West (the one Aaron is at in this video) 3. Black Diamond Indoor Skate Park (looks pretty sick!)
Guys I think it locks in.
Hay second hand but plug just watch and learn
Guys it’s the easiest grind on a rail because it really locks in
Is it just me or did anyone else get a little deja vu while watching this video?
I know it feels like he said the same stuff twice.
Antonio Temelkov More like 3+ times.
Way I learnt these was learning backside crooks on rails, I'd noticed that missing the crook I'd end up catching it on the back truck, so it was just learning how to do that but have my weight shifted the other way. On a 50-50 grind your trucks don't lock in and you can go woah woah...and then you die
true
Lol i can do both fs 50-50's and bs 50-50's on rails, but feebles are so fuckin' hard for me...
Alexander Belgiumskater 50-50's do lock in. you just need to git gud
Exactly, if somebody wants to have good 50-50's on rails he must actually learn how to lock in properly... I've learned that the outer wheels must actually touch the side of the rail, like a 50 50 on a ledge, else is going to be really risky to do a 50 50 on a rail...
This is facts
I'm gonna be honest i talk shit on a lot of the braille videos but this one actually helped me
Thanks aaron totally helped me I just learned them in like 20 mins
This video was more helpful than others I've seen. Also, the instructor was easy and fun to listen to. Gets a thumbs up from me!I'd like to see in more tutorials someone trying the trick who isn't good at it. This trick is pissing me off so much. No matter how many times I tell myself to lean on my back foot the nose always just dips down
Put more pressure on your back foot. Keep the front truck in the air. Sorry if that doesn't make sense but i hope it helped a little
hey bud, the tip that helped me start landing smiths and feebles is, it sounds counter intuitive, but when you get locked into it push out and away with your front foot. imagine your you board is the hands of a clock, push your front foot out to 10:00(ten o'clock)
+clay collins guess I should clarify, I don't mean to push down, but just out and away. it will help with how your weight is distributed over your back foot.
+clay collins is this for round or flat rails? ill try this too..
I have the same problem
it will be very cool if you make a video where gabe learns this trick because I can get the truck in the feeble grind position but I can't grind it. sorry for my bad English I'm from Italy
i never realised a feeble was easier than a 50/50, thanks a lot for this
NEXT I'll take from the video what I want thanks mate
it's not a problem to me though #skateboardingisfun
NEXT its literally got nothing to do with background knowledge, everyone has preferences and different strengths, I learnt feeble before 5050 and find it way way easier, besides theres no need to be bitching #shutupandgoskate
Why are you being peti because you have no argument against what I said?
dude your soo knarly ever since I started skating I've watched your videos and you've helped keep me getting better keep doing what your doing man
Jesse Brown lol Aaron isnt that gnarly. watch a jaws part XD
Can you do one for FS Tailslide? That's what I'm working on at the moment but I keep missing the rail.
try doing it on a box first it's a lot easier to commit and actually lock your tail. Just a quick tip if you didnt know, do not attempt to do a 180 because that's not how youre gonna lock your tail, think of it as a 90 degree 5-0 slide, thats how youre gonna lock your tail perfectly on the ledge/rail
Thanks I'll try that. I try on a rail because noseslides are easy for me on a rail, its tailslides I have trouble with.
NEXT he knows what up
PogChamp will this work for nose slides do you think?
i watched this entire video and all I wanted to know what is the easiest grind? O well.. maybe Aaron will fill us in next time.
he says this is the easiest grind in the video
Devon lol he's being sarcastic
Locked into this today never tried tricks on rail accept boardy fs and back. I was going ham trying to learn this trick didn't get it but still charging to land it... it was on a flat bar rail. locked into five o and 50-50 too! got me hooked on skating again just checking this out for tips..

Awesome video:) Just wondering, what trucks does Aaron skate?
Hey Aaron, I'd really like to see a Fs Smith and Fs Tailslide on a ledge tutorial. Anyways awesome tutorial and keep up the good work love your channel.

I do my boardslides at a bit of an angle as it is, so I think I might be able to learn these fairly quickly
me2 xD
Does the same apply to a flat bar rail? (same height wider base)
Learn every rail trick on a round rail it makes everything so much easier
is this really the easiest grind? front nose hits the ground every time...
i can barely feeble when the rail is low, but when the rail is high, front nose hits the ground and then i die.
i think thats important to have bs50 down at least on a ledge, it helped me a lot
I need help with getting into it. my trucks always hit the bar but don't go over
Im gonna try again to learn this. It feels so awkward trying to lock into it.
Hey, how tall is the bar? Thank you
How is feeble so easy to do? I struggle so much yet I know how to 50-50 and fs and bs boardslide rails easily. Maybe it's just commitment
Lol ikr me too... It depends, some people find certain tricks easier than others, it's all a mental game
+Patrick Lunardi yeah it is lol I started trying feebles yesterday and wasn't as bad as I thought
been waiting forever for this video!!!!!
I feel like this video left some questions unanswered. Like should I learn the 50-50 first or go straight into the feeble after I learn board slides? Also does this trick lock in or is it loose like the 50-50? Don't leave me hangin', man.

ahahah
would it be hard to do it 50mm width square flatbar? because i see most people do it on round rail.
Eetu Mäkinen It would just feel a little different that''s all
Been waiting for this trick tip for a long time I thought this was a hard grind
Hey Aaron I just wanted to know what do u do with your body and back foot
Keep your body parallel to the rail and have more weight on your back foot
could this be a teaser for SMS volume 6 intermediate grind tricks????
Hi Aaron but I can't get into the feeble I just duke my self out and if I do actually comit I land in a boards slide or 50-50 by accident please help
my skatepark only has a square flatrail so only my kingpin hits the rail not the truck itself so there's no way to lock into it?
Smör Crew You lock in with the back wheel against the rail and the side of your truck on top. If you land kingpin first, you're doing something wrong
Hey Aaron what mic do you use?
#pushskateboarding
i was trying to do these today and i could only lock in. i wouldnt slid or anything. just a plop and stick. any tips??
Try leaning back a little bit more
I didd
Skootr Squad try it for more than one day.
nate liebert well duh. But idk I barely slid. Maybe the rail is shit
Skootr Squad try it a few times every day for a week and if u haven't gotten better at it I'll be damned
mine isnt locking in it goes to like a boardslide, i think the localized air particles are broken
someone please help. I am getting onto the rail fine, when I get on im barely sliding and the board goes down forward causing me to jump off. I don't feel like I am really locking on when doing this trick. Please help.
Same with me...can anyone help us. ?
Im having this problem too, and no one knows how to fix it
You need to lock on with the board tilted kind of so that the back truck locks over the side you popped on from and keep more weight on your back foot
Nolan Keil thx man, I'm gonna try that tomorrow
Just try leaning back a little bit and you will slide better and longer
Can you do a tutorial for how to caveman? You could do it into banks and off of ledges and stuff in the same video to flesh it out abit.
...just jump into the air, and land on your skateboard...learned it before the Ollie
is this trick easier on a round rail or a square rail??
Round.
lol i could do pretty much any grind ..but a backside feeble was one of the onyl grinds i could not do lol was scare shitless of it..just hated thinking i would fall backward while landign int oa boardslide lol
hmm let's try triple kickflip late shove to nose grind nollie bs 360 kickflip out
YES YES YES YES YES MORE OF THESE VIDEOS AARON
What app is it called where you can find skate spots near where you live? Chris Chan has it I think
Justin Kalil SkateSpots
Will it still be the same on a square rail
KillerMxMMM wacko Yeah
Yes you might find it easier on a round rail
I use to have these np when I was younger.. but now my board flips over when I try to get out of it. I can lock it and hold it all day when I come out I land primo or my board is upside down..
+Bo Carter lift your front trucks just like you would riding off a curb
When I pop out I always land primo, any tips for that?
Is frontside or backside easier
The amount of people who incorrectly think that a round rail is not a flat bar is too damn high!
I simply love this man
I have trouble coming out it flicks into a heelflip but just on the back
Try to land with your board in a flatter or more stable position or try not to relieve any pressure on the back foot until it's in the air
I would wish rail like this only flat rail we got i our park is 3x biggre
When is lance going to learn varial kickflip
Kelcey Davis When you learn how to use question marks and periods.
Are feebles or smiths harder to grind in a square rail?
I think smiths are harder no matter what
In confused, I thought a feeble was when your from heel faced the rail, while a smith, your front toe faces the rail? Can someone explain it to me thanks
Just think of it this way. A feeble gring is when your front truck goes on the opposite side of the rail from where youre standing. A smith grind is when your front truck is on the same side of the rail from where youre standing. Baskwith made a good video about this called how to tell the difference between feeble and smith.
***** oh ok, thanks dude :)
CriticalSkater No problem. :D
How do u oily wile moving
1:00 that's exactly what I thought the other day
You know Aaron's got no pinch when he says you can't lock onto back 50
My first Grinds on round rails... 5050, 5-0, Crook, Nousegrind, Overcrook, Smith, Feeble... but Aaron is right.. feeble is not that hard but hard to commit!!
i learned front smith and front lip before back board slide or back feeble
I love your vids Aaron and I Hope You See my Skate Support !
I feel like I could learn this if I could push myself. I am afraid of trying, though. I feel like I'll slip and wreck my ankle. :(
Never knew u could do feebles .sick 👍👍
should do one for front feebles and 50-50 kickflip out
i can FS Feeble, but i never landed a BS Feeble... i should try them more often
FS Feeble are easier to get into because you can see the obstacle easier, but they are harder to balance. Going backwards is scary and more dangerous, too. If you fall on a FS Feeble you can trip and really get hurt.
do i need to lean back
I learned fs and bs 5050 on round rails but I still cant do a bs feeble grind
Im gonna send in a sponsor tape in a couple hours to u so could u review it and try to let me be sponsored by u and andy please
okay so what is a flatbar i have always been told that a flatbar is flat on top and not round // confused skater
I think what he meant to say was that you'll get a groove that will really help to lock in
I just want help unlocking from back feebles
Ok, I'll give it a try today.
He didn't say anything on where to shift the weight I have trouble with this grind. I can grind it fine but I can't land it.
"you can be like woaaaahh, then you die"
- Aaron Kyro
I cant nose slide every time i get the nose on the rail the nose slips off the rail and i hurt my self
put more/all of your weight on the nose.
Kaedry Mathis Roll up a little closer to the rail. Also try it on a ledge, it's easier that way
What is the difference in this and salad
Is fs easier
flat bar????? or round rail?
Both
Thanks that really helped me
I've been skateboarding for 15 years. I can crook, front feeb, smith, lip, bigspin board, even treflip lip.... but I have only done 1 bs feeble EVER and it was on a dinky 36 inch long slant rail hah..
0:52 WOOAOOAOH. and then you die.
When I was a kid I could do back feebles on flatbars no problem, but now that I'm an adult I completely lost that trick. But I do have front feebles dialed. weird, huh?
you should do a trick tip on how to front smith!!!
Jeremy Cooley It's the same as a feeble except you actually have to turn in the air
No flat bar means it is flat ontop and round rail means it is round
Nope. You're Wrong
no its cause the bar is on flat ground...
I have too much leaning back 😕 can’t commit !
Do a front feeble tutorial!!!
HTown Skaters If you can bs feeble, you can figure out fs feebles because they are the same
aaron haw about the lazy grind
THANK YOU FOR THIS!
When I try to get off the board half flips
put pressure on the heel side pocket of your tail
+Seth Harrison the faster you go the easier they are
When i try these i always boardslide on accident
Jack Flynn put all the pressure on your back heel
tnx aaron
Your trucks can actually lock in on a 50 50.
It's recommended to lock them in if you want to do a 50-50 on a rail, else the board is going to flip around and that's not very nice, especially on a rail...
Keith K. You have to put pressure on your heels or toes to lock in a 50-50 on a rail, at least on a round one like in the video
your trucks dont lock in on a circle rail other as a square they do!
Yeah with backside 50-50s most people lock in on round rails with their front truck pushing back and their back truck pushing forward, but with frontside most people just lock in with both of their trucks pushed forwards
This trick is so hard there are no round rails only like 45 min away from me
i can do smiths but no feebles
my back truck never makes it onto the rail 😠help me plz
I learned backside 5050 on a ledge, then i tried to treat it like a back 50, but get your front truck over it. Then ya know, lean back and slight pop out or you could primo.
Go from board slide to feeble... I can back lip but I still can't feebl cuz it just flips every time. I hate this trick lol
Dude boardslides are so easy i learnes them in like 15minutes
Does this work on a flatbar
iAmJack Skate well that's what he's skating..
took note, I suck so bad on feeble!
Nice video I need to not the dust off this deck haha
Shit man I wish I lived in California. Woodward looks like their skate parks are sooooo sick! Three skate parks I want to go to:
1. Ollies Skate Park
2. Woodward West (the one Aaron is at in this video)
3. Black Diamond Indoor Skate Park (looks pretty sick!)
Solar Chaser Ollies is in Cincinnati, Ohio. Woodward west is in Tehachapi, CA. Black Diamond is in Philly. Have fun touring around the state.
Solar Chaser Ollies is in Cincinnati, Ohio. Woodward west is in Tehachapi, CA. Black Diamond is in Philly. Have fun touring around the state.
Lol gonna cost a fortune!
