  • The Dan Dugan algorithm clearly share the mic gain between the microphone without any audible signs of gating or other artefacts.
We will take a further look into the Dan Dugan Automixer or MTX/MRX processors.

Interesting to discover this. Just over 20 years ago I purchased about half a dozen inexpensive Behringer Professional Studio Denoiser Mk IIIs, designed for use on unencoded tape/video playback. The first use was for BP plc AGM job at the Royal Festival Hall. I inserted a channel per mic and had the noise reduction smoothly kick in at around -30dB. I was able to leave 10 top-table mics up with minimal riding, no feedback, but above all, and as I observe occurs here, virtually no room refection looped back in, so when amplified, speech clarity and intelligibility was greater, requiring less amplification. For all Behringer's lack of quality back then, these were sturdily-built and worked superbly until I eBayed them around 10 years ago. Ironically, OB track directors would complain that for air transmission the sound was too dry and had to introduce subtle ambience, but for the venue speaker system when combined with resultant room reflection, it sounded very nice indeed.

Why can't we switch from auto mode to manual mode in automixer on the user define keys...we only have the possibility to preset to manual and then switch using a user define key but we cannot go back to automode ?...it should be as quick to go back to automode...
