    sir please tell me simple techniques to find faulty load cell which comes with 6 wires mettler toledo.
    ex+ex-sig+sig-sen+sen-?

      Very simple sen and ex are the same. Sen is to help with current do to distance and wire size. A guage is a peice of wire. Measure with ohm meter. Ex and sen + together Ex and sen - together. Then +ex to +sig - ex to - sig. The reading has to be the same. If not the guage or metal of cell damaged. Most of the time its cable issue. Also there is no such thing as a digital load cell. They are all analog cells. They just use a converter in cell and send a 482 or 485 signal back to meter. This way they can use cheaper metal in cells. To make it appear better. Its marketing BS. Load cells are all the same. Its really how good the metal is, guage inside, and how well it is attched to measuring point on metal. You cant even ohm there cell. Its all inside. Total BS

      How many volts excitation and how many mv per volt? if 3mv/v by 10v excitation your mv capacity at full load is 30 mv so that in mind you need to apply power to the load cell disconnect load cell signal wires from summing board and check how many mv return check all load cells look fo high mv with nothing in or on the scale such as a 4 load cell platform load cell 1 3mv #2 3.2mv #3 2.9mv #4 8.7.
      #4 is probably bad. You can do a zero test on it remove all dead load from the load cell it should read 0 +/- .2 mv.
      If one load cell reads negative its bad if the mv fluctuate its bad.
