- This is totally not like me to ever want to film this sort of video but I thought that people need to be warned about this company so as to not make the mistake of purchasing a custom kit from Victorias Moon. Watch the video and see!!

Another thought is to color correct the skin tone on the DP. I'm an African American and several times I receive custom diamond paintings that show our complexion with red, pink or orange undertones. I have created a mini collection of spare rounds and squares of browns, tans, and taupes to be more realistic.
To match your specific skin tone try matching cross-stitch floss (make a trip to your local craft store)to your skin tone and then order drills in that DMC color. Hope that helps.
The issue is, it isn’t just the skin tone that’s off. All of the colours are off. The sky and sea are very blue in my photo but the drills are all grey. So disappointing.

I would delete the unboxing videos and put up a full blown review video showing all 3 canvases if they dont respond in a certain time frame. I get companies make mistakes, but customer service is so important and can make or break a company.
I think my rage kitting down has said it all. Not sure I have the energy to do another video showing the issues. So far I’ve had no contact from them. 😔
Omg that’s horrendous!!! And then no customer support - that’s the worst part of all. I sure am glad I never bought from them.
I ordered a custom from Amazon. The first thing I did I’d check skin tones…. Guess what? Orange!!! I love the picture so I’m going to wait & see what color I can use. The real skin tone is a creamy mocha (she’s mixed black & white). Any suggestions welcome.
Wow!! That’s an intense orange! I’m so sorry this happened to you. I would be so frustrated as well. Good customer service can go a long way - they definitely don’t have it. This is much more than an uncalibrated monitor.
I totally agree! It’s all 3 paintings that have colour problems through so this isn’t a one off and I’m not alone sadly 😔

I totally recommend Jaded Gem Shop for customs. Sure they are a bit pricey but tons of people in the diamond art community swear by them. It takes a while to get the canvases but it's so worth it! She gives you copies of the renders she does and gives you the size she recommends to get the best render. She's in constant communication. I hope you get something resolved soon. :)

me and my friend orderd from this company(our first couple of diamond paintings) and they where great. it was one of my favourite sites to order from and was going to place a new order in a couple of weeks but will be more sceptical about it now. thanks for sharing :)
Buyer beware and all that! There are many other reputable companies to order from so I trust you’ll choose wisely.
I hope I’m not beating a dead horse as I mentioned this in one of your other videos but I had the same experience, I ordered a custom of my white dog and didn’t even get any white in my kit, they actually rendered parts of him green for some reason, I completed mine as it was only a 30x30 but I haven’t ever ordered from them again, so sorry this happened to you and I hope you manage to sort something so your canvas’ don’t go to waste x

I second this. Completed a painting i've been looking for, for awhile and its horrible looking. At least to me, my family loves it. They also dont answer any questions either like you said.

That is just absolutely ridiculous!! Not only is the canvas good for crap but then absolutely NO customer service? Inexcusable.
It is absolutely disgusting. Currently going through a claim with my bank to see if I can get my money back!

So sorry this happened to you. I had a custom made through Jaded Gem Shop and it is beautiful and the colors and spot on. I hope they will do the right thing and make it right.

Awwww so sorry, she does take a long time to respond unfortunately and could improve on that for sure but I am happy with my custom so far. The rendering has a negative photo look to it but as I put the drills on it, it is coming to life beautifully.

I would do a charge back with my bank for the refund. I do them if the customer service dont get back to me and i am very unsatisfied with their product. I have even done one with pizza hut. Because noone would answer the phone. And the customer service would not do anything about it. So anyways maybe see if your bank will do something like that. I am so sorry same on them for not replying to you.
I think chargebacks can only be done up to 45 days? It’s well beyond that now 😔
Could you maybe switch the drills for the right colors. Just a thought. There's a really great Etsy shop for drills. Not to mention you have quite a lot of backup drills I've seen in other videos. Seems like their stitch software has a problem with drill color conversion and they're not wanting to admit or fix it. Sad because I have seen TH-camrs maybe 5 years ago who ordered customs from this site and they were nearly perfect.
It would be a lot of work to try and switch the drills out on this. But I have a plan! Stay tuned to see a future video of what I’m thinking of doing with this 😊
I'm so sorry this happened to you, they turned you into an oompa loompa with that green and orange. I'd be so mad. I've never ordered from Victoria's Moon but they are on my list of companies I am planning on trying in the future. I will be taking them off my list now.

Could you change the skin colour yourself so the canvases don’t go to waste?
I wish it was just the skin tone that was the issue. All of the colours are off. The sky and sea should be blue but the drills are all grey. My dress should be dark blue but the drills are green. And obviously my skin tone is the biggest issue. It’s just an absolute mess. And it looks like the same issues on the other 2 canvases also. Just not usable as they are.

I had the same problems 2 yrs ago they would not refund there was the wrong color and the custom painting half had no glue on it was not impressed
That’s so sad that they can treat customers like this. Hopefully getting the word out will stop others falling into the same trap!
omg Victorian moon they still in business? they are the worst company everyone knows about them. they sent pr package to every creator regardless of size of channel when they first open
They actually reached out to me via my other channel where I had 8k subs as the time. Funny how they were responsive then but not now!

Don’t let those canvases go to waste find a skin color diamond that you think is good and replaces orange ones you don’t have to place the orange ones there. Not at all saying that excuses what they did but don’t let it go to waste. Oh and did you maybe select the Oompa Loompa skin tone setting when ordering lol

How terrible, this is company who needs to be reported to the BBB.
Problem is, not sure that they would be able to do anything as I’m based in the UK and so are the company (I think or even China?)

I wouldn’t be scared but I would say do your research first! I didn’t and this is what happened.
Yeah I have been researching a few places but, I’m also thinking I want to try Stamped cross stitch first that way if I don’t like the colours they use I can buy the right colour floss, since my drill stash is still quite small. These types of videos at least help know which companies to stay way from.

Amazon is a marketplace so depends on the seller you bought from. I’m going to be super careful on where I order from in future.

I would be very pissed off 😡 so ask them to redo it or refund your money …. There are colors that look a normal flesh tone going by your hands…. Try getting Dreamer Designs to make you a custom?

Sorry you had such a bad diamond art painting experience. From the colors on your canvas, they were blind to see you do not have orange skin. The water also is so off. I hope you hear from them and they take everything back a return your money,
It’s very sad that they thought it was acceptable. It’s obviously not checked and the fact it was all 3 paintings….it’s clearly not a one off. But no response from them still and I doubt they will but if it means others have saved their pennies then this video will be worth it!
Sounds like DAC customer service! They didn’t give me points or tier - and have done nothing to fix it! 6 months of trying to talk to them, and they completely ignore me.

If it was me I would just change the color of the arms
I 100% would if that was the only issue with it. I’d need to change the colours used for our faces too and I’d have to do the same on all 3 paintings. I don’t have the amount of drills required to do that so it would cost me time and money to try and fix it and probably making a hash of it 😆

I cannot believe that they never responded. From the very beginning,when people were doing unboxing, there was something about their kits that never attracted me, so I never bought anything from them but I'm sorry that you threw away so much money in kits that need to go in the trash. There's a diamond painting company that I just discovered and maybe you already know it, "Diamond Art Studio UK. Their kits are phenomenal.

I did check the colours first. I say in the video that I did an unboxing video (which is also on my channel if you care to watch) and I say in the unboxing video that I was concerned about the colours. But, I wanted to trust the process and give them the benefit of the doubt. It was confirmed there was an issue when I started working on the canvas. But thanks for tuning into my video 😊
