It’s a very nice part that I have spent a lot of time working the kinks out of.
I have seen cell phone holders that mount to the vent but bounce up and down over bumps. Does your kit eliminate the bouncing?
This part is designed to go anywhere you can put a 2 1/16” gauge, so the vent mount is just one possibility. The vent mounts you are talking about clip to the actual vent, whereas this setup when used with a vent gauge pod actually replaces the vent. In testing it has been very stable.

That sounds like a defective TPS sensor or wiring fault to me. Thanks for the suggestion - I think an honest TPS setup video is a good idea, because there are a lot of snake oil and old wive's tale videos out there on this subject.
Put a new motorcraft TPS same problem. Ordered a fuel injector harness should solve the problem.
