As emotive as Yesung is & as much as I love to joke about his heartbreaks & divorces, I actually found it a bit uncomfortable to see him upset. I honestly want nothing but the absolute best for him: health, success & happiness to him always. He has brought me so much joy over the past few months & I feel truly blessed that I get to listen to him every day and that I'm his fan. I feel complete with him in my life 💙

The thing with this version of My Dear, it was a hard time for Yesung, after he performed he told us his struggles, he cried (even though he said, he didn't), we cried. Also this concert was online, he didn't have an audience and he loves to perform live in from of us.
After this concert i think we all felt closer to him 🥺, it was an intimate moment between him and us all, he's really brave to show us that.
The version of My Dear was in the online concert(fanmeeting) last year(July). It was in the middle of COVID 19 era(?), he had long missed his fans severely.
He said he had felt so lonely and craved for meeting ELFs to death then realized how cherishing ELFs are to him adding that he had got realized there was nothing to take for granted, and everything(&everyone) around him was so much precious.
All that kinds of feeling by ELF&Clouds(lonely, happy, thankful, touched, warm-hearted, missing etc.) made him get emotional.
Most of us got emotional with him. Although we were only able to communicate online, we could feel him and share the warmness with yesung.
It was not sadness but happiness☺️
Yesung has such a sensitive soul 😭. I think that's the reason why his voice is able to convey such intense feelings in any lyrics. I believe he felt it too much 😭 he said he couldn't even sing the song properly during rehearsals. He loves the stage and loves his Clouds so much. He must have felt overwhelmed as well as lonely in that studio, to see all the support but not be able to feel it as he is used too. The lyrics are a sad comfort to us all as well as himself.
Yesung wrote this song when he was in army and he felt extremely lonely. I believe he had a breakup as well little before he enlisted. He’s tried to be really positive in many ways in his life so it seems he wrote this to talk to himself to cheer up. As all SJ members call/tease him "an icon of Unfortunate", in his past there were many obstacles and he had to overcome to be where he is now. So he often says how much he feels blessed to be in SJ and he gets all the loves & supports from Fans.
Especially, this concert from last year like after pandemic, like one of the comments from ELF here that he realized that there was nothing to take for granted and everything around him was precious.
He wrote "my dear" himself, I think you reacted when he was on a radio show with Leeteuk where he sings that song too, so after he sang he was very emotional (Leeteuk too because he saw the tears of Yesung as he sang) and he said he wrote it for us because he was feeling grateful that we waited for him after his military service and his solo album as well. And it also reminds him of his members and SuJu. So I think that's why he got emotional this time too. It's just a precious song about precious things sung by a precious person ☁️💙

That My Dear performance was from the same day as the Wherever You Are one. I think he mentioned the Wherever You Are perf was recorded a day before because he was the MC of his own solo online concert and needed a few performances as buffer, I guess? He missed his fans dearly, was reading the comments (even about his neck haha) but couldn’t see or hear us so he talked about the pandemic and how it made him lonely. Plus, you know what this song means to him and us, I think he gets emotional singing it live often, for this performance even more so.

"For one day" is an OST song. And Yesung has sang it live in Super Show 4, but maybe it just have fancam video, because it's not in SS Seoul and Japan.
"Blind" has Chinese version that sing by our Zhoumi, please check it out too.💙
"My Dear" is special song. He writes the lyrics by himself.
He has sang it live for many times, and I got he sing it with crying many times. If you watch the full version of concert' or his performance on radio, you'll be more understand.
Yesung had a hard time while preparing for this album. he received several delays and rejections for some of the songs he wrote. Even the sales of his first album plummeted. He even feared that it would be the end of his career. But thankfully he rose with the other members, and they were able to survive until now. even Yesung's fourth mini album sales were very satisfying and Yesung enjoyed his comaback even more.

Carpet has been in my playlist for so long and you reminded me why i loved this song so much. The music and lyrics are great, and their harmonization like heavenly, wow.
And this is my first time to hear Her Over Flowers. Such an interesting song, with a 80's vibe. Like you, i wonder how deep, husky, and sultry voice like that can suited in this particular genre, with wonderfull result as well
My Dear, the song itself reflect though time at his enlistment and first album, besides loneliness he feeling during pandemic, not be able to fully interact with ELF and Clouds. I found hard to rewatch this particular performanced 😭

I guess he just feel emotional all of sudden because he miss performing or singing to ELF since the pandemic won’t allow him and ELF to meet one another, not to mention that My Dear was written when he was thinking about ELF in order to giving us courage as well. I cried so hard after I saw him cried ㅠㅠ.

Thank you for another Yesungathon! All lovely songs. “My Dear” was very raw and emotional. I watched this online concert last year and I’m pretty sure we all cried with him. (Even though he said he didn’t cry.) He was lonely without an audience. All of SuJu were struggling with not being able to have in person concerts and performances. I watched all the online concerts that I could of theirs and I felt that it was tough for them. They play off the audience so much. (And this is me never having seen them in person and only watching Super Shows on DVDs etc because they really haven’t toured the US. ) So even though I’ve been so grateful for being able to actually watch them live in real time…it also broke my heart that they couldn’t be fully in their element with an audience during those concerts. Much 💙!

That My Dear perfomance was last year, it was very emotional watching him like that. He's usually very open about recognizing when he's feeling lonely and having to do that concert online was a happy and a sad moment for him at the same time. It's weird to perform with no public in front of you, I guess. After the event in Japan a month ago the group seems energized and ready to finally go on tour, I do hope this time it works out (for them and all of us who want to see them live again)

My Dear - online concert are hard to watch for 2nd times. T.T. i feel sad, actually this online concert are the most bring my heart to ride a roller coaster mood so far. because not long after this we got to listen that amazing Cover song of Where ever you are, that make me scream because how great he sing and his looks, ROFL
But Yesung Marathon what ever it is will always appreciate. I miss his voice so much, thank god he will have a new single in this May 29th.
