The reason Navia said you could use some pointers on understanding human emotions better is because according to tabloids(who came up with their own theories as to who he is) have concluded that he's the only male Melusine and the father of melusines. So people of Fontaine don't see him as a human but as a Melusine 🤔
I love the massive difference between pre and post 4.0 Neuvillete theories online. So many people thought he was going to be perhaps villainous or very cold. Instead he’s our adorably sweet yet *strong* little otter
Fontaine has been defying expectations left and right and I *love* it!!! I can't wait to go to the Fortress of Meropide in 4.1 and I literally can't wait for more archon quests. This is peak Genshin imo!! They knocked it out of the park!
I was heartbroken when we found out about the rain. Neuvilette is such a decent person. Of course, the rain isn't confirmed - just heavily pushed towards that way. It would be an interesting twist if true.
I'm going to be perfectly honest, Bran by far is my most favorite/top 1 Genshin content creator right now, actually picks up important story details, piece it together and react/present it in an entertaining fashion that doesn't feel forced.
@@blueao2670 an early detail that Bran managed to notice and comment on was in regards to the assassination attempt on Navia with the Fonta that Paimon drank by accident. From all the content creators I've watched going through this archon quest, most of them just skimmed through it, and Bran is one of the few ones that made a comments regarding it.
I didn't expect to ever like neuvillette as he was giving strict rude old man vibes. But he was and is like the sweetest genshin character in existence he is such and adorable character
Already had too many times when some random people can't even recall the characters' names properly, while Bran can connect the current stories with previous theories other players came up with.
I wouldn’t say people know that Neuvillette is the hydro dragon, but more or so people just know that he’s not human since he had been around for a long time in Fontaine Hyv posted a little paragraph that reads like a newspaper header when they posted his drip marketing, and in it involves people wondering what he was, the Melusines concluded that he was the first male Melusine because he acted like a father to them
in-game text said he brought in the Melusines 400 years ago; suggesting the possibility he lives around the cataclysm.. Or if he's actually hydro sovereign; then he actually lives prior the archon war and is the 7 original elemental dragons of teyvat like Apep.
I imagined Furina being cold-hearted and direct person like Raiden Shogun and act in the name of Justice. But it turns out she is a drama queen with unmature behaviour. I really like her character that way. She might act airhead but she is seriously concerned about prophecy. You can literally hear her crying inside the Fountain of Lucine.
You know, I imagine instead of Ei, Yae Miko should come to Fontaine and have a lunch together with Furina. I'd love to see how the conversation goes. She'd saw her bullshit within 100 mile radius and call her out, while having tons of fun doing it. But yea I hope Furina get a good character development in future patches and be a more noble Archon.
@@ramadhanisantoso2973 I hope she gets character development, but I definitely don't want her to lose the arrogant and sassy attitude, She's such a fun archon and character and I love my characters with big personality flaws, especially Furina.( by flaws, I mean actual negative flaws like stuck up or hateful, not the "I work too hard" or "I don't have many friends but I want to" stuff that Hoyo loves doing.
@@hybrid3006 It's more like flawed but portrayed as positive y'know? It's why I love Al Haitham, dude's arrogant af, knows it and won't change cause he can't be bothered to.
This whole Act 2 felt like a Navia story quest. I wonder how this would connect to succeeding acts. Btw, I like how they became creative with the intro and outro animation of the quest title
true, they couldve made Ayakas part like this instead of requiring to do her Story quest first and not include the wet socks thing while making it more engaging
@@Borovski213 Although most of the quest was about Navia, if they had never entered the trial then childe may have been killed or killed chlorinde and the fact that childe remains guilty by the Oratrice even after being proven innocent leaves many questions as this was the first time the Oratrice and Chief Justice came to different conclusions.
Wriothesley is one of the new characters being released in 4.1, and he's in the administrator for the Fortress of Meropide, which is an underwater prison where criminals are sent to after being found guilty by the Oratrice. My guess is that we'll be helping prove Childe's innocence in Act III, and maybe Act IV too.
I love Neuvilette with every inch of my being he's so kind 😭 I'm definitely pulling on his banner. Also finding out about his connection to the rain i swear i almost cried. I hope they don't butcher his character in upcoming quests
The English VA did such an amazing job. As much as I also love Nuevilette, I might just wait for his re-run. Navia's design and personality are just *chef's kiss*.
I'm so gonna pull for her, but I'm afraid of another dehya treatment. Pls make navia actually good enough to play. I pulled for dehya because I like her and her story quest. But her design is so bad that it's hard to play her.
Diluc to Navis: so, first time losing your father and his honor was misjudged by the people? First you need to go undercover for 3 years and res…. Navia: oh I just fought it in court Diluc:… Navia: why? What’s you do?
Ray Chase is really the perfect cast for Neuvilette cos oh my god, that whole scene of his convo with Navia at the grave was just so hard-hitting from that voice acting alone. And apparently he re-recorded his lines because that was the scene that made him grasp Neuvilette's character? So much respect to that man. He did an insanely amazing job. P.S. I see many people comparing Neuvilette to Zhongli but I feel while they do have that similar vibe of being the wise powerful being, it's much easier to connect with Neuvilette's emotions and character in general. It might be because of the story writing which just did so well on establishing every new (playable) character (ofc except those we haven't met yet) without having to delve too much into their backstory or the VA honestly. P.P.S. I love them both, and not saying one is inherently better than the other. I just feel that they may have similar vibes but that's all there is in terms of similarity. Their personalities are very different.
I agree for sure! I have the ultimate level of respect to Ray Chase for doing what he did in order to honor this awesome character. I think Fontaine's story is PEAK genshin and I agree that every character so far has been really well introduced! I feel emotionally connected to a lot of them and the best thing is Fontaine isn't even over yet! Can't wait to meet Rizzley, Sigewinne, etc, in 4.1. I really hope they keep up this amazing storywriting and not fall flat on execution of the rest of the archon quests for Fontaine.
Man they got the big budget from inazuma and sumeru patches from what we know the dev tell us that they been workin on fontaine since 1 year ago or so, imagine how natlan, snezhnaya and othe future region storyline be like
As a true crime book reader, I loved how accurate Marcel (Vacher) was. Commonly, serial kidnappers/murderers are mentally ill or crazy (psycopathic), and collecting stuff belonging to the victims is also common. Serial killers/kidnappers also tend to try to get involved in their own investigation, and Marcel being connected with the Spina and spending money to "find" himself is accurate. Also, they can get manic. There has been many cases where the kidnapper/murderer begins to halluncinate or get extremely anxious at the thought of their victims coming back to murder them, and there have been cases where they have died due to their fear of these hallucinations. This quest was amazing.
Spoilers I really really like how Her emotional instability really shows here, being sensitive to others looks for centuries must've been so damn tiring, and the utter worry and confusion at what just happened did not help
I remember watching your VOD of this. In-case you missed it in chat, the fast text after the oceanid scene said, Vacher's body was found like he "lost his soul". It was just the doctor's announcement that he 'died of fright', but he probably suffered a worse fate.
Neuvillette is such a cutie. His voice actor is so good too, I could cry only by hearing his voice in the last part of the quest!!! His voice actor did so well i was bawling
This Archon Quest is so heartwarming, interesting, sad and epic at the same time. I really liked the way the relationship between the characters was shown. And I was really sad after every time the game showed/talked about rain. It breaks my heart😭😭
I love the fact that you can kinda figure out what's happening with the disappearances right after you talk with the Oceanid in the fountain. Of course, it takes a bit of knowledge of story narratives, but the clues are there and the player can have that "Ha, knew it!" moment later, which is amazing. That's what a good storytelling and plot twist looks like.
Yeah I’ve been watching tons of this quest line and I love how someone *immediately* picked up that Marcel owns the Caberete that was harassing the Blacksmith in the beginning. Good mysteries have good hints
Yeah, I didn't catch the blacksmith or fonta thing the 1st time, but Marcel had a ton of red flags - rule of 3 (he's the last interviewed) - the closest to Navia among the three - everyone said two gunshots... he said "a gunshot" - he's the only one who did not answer Navia directly, and is indirectly telling her to stop with the investigation in the guise of "your father would not want you to do this etc"
It's always fun to see if a streamer is paying attention to the main story itself. I get to have another explanation from someone's POV for some things, really cool. You're amazing to watch Bran.
As a Brit, I was very happy with the fact there are chippies in Fontaine. Fish and chips is so simple but so gooood. Food is what I look forward to most in every Genshin update lol.
@@ijustasillypersonontheinternet I'm french, so lot of the dishes that Fontaine bring are pretty familiar to me and some of them are associated with memory of holiday with my grandparents (onion soup and pâtes de fruits notably). Hence the nostalgia.
just so we are clear: "childe, without a vision, while his powers and mind are in turmoil, landed a hit on the hydro DRAGON SOVEREIGN, and MID TRANSFORMATION at that, even neuvilette was shocked himself. mind you, the powers of dragon sovereigns far surpass that of archons." @monocearos
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's not confirmed if Neuvillette is the hydro dragon sovereign. If he is, then either his human body is a vessel or he's been reincarnated in a human form, which would theoretically make it easier to damage him. Only Childe's hydro powers (granted to him by his vision) were in turmoil. His foul legacy and electro delusion were working fine the entire time.
The abyss is super effective to the dragons because they are creature of the light realm and yes the sovereigns were dumb to use their major weakness as their more important weapon
That's how crazy Ed Sheeran is. Dude was arguably in his most vulnerable phase yet still managed to hit the Sovereign. It is also bonkers to think Childe was taught this transformation. And he learned in three days in the Abyss. In Three days Skirk taught him a form that has enough strength to hurt Neuvillette. Skirk is even stronger than Childe to the point, Childe is confident that if he uses His full power now, he can force Skirk use two hands instead of one. We are barely scratching the surface of the powerhouse in Genshin.
@@Phantom_Zone Skirk was teaching him for 3 months. It was only 3 days that passed in the normal world. Although, it was enough for Tartaglia to beat up a group of fully-armed soldiers when his father enlisted him into Fatui as a "mere child"
Really loved this archon quest. Cutscene of Childe and Neuvilette was really good. Shows how strong Childe's power is to be able to leave a scratch on Neuvilette, who was able to one tap him. Cant wait for the next archon quest and to learn more about Furina, Neuvilette, Skirk, and Childe, and im excited for Arlerchinno's appearance.
Furina in Act 1 seemed way dumber and way too eager to pull us into a trial, but in Act 2 she seems more careful and formal, even through her theatrics. This leads me to think that the first trial was her way to share her passion with us, trying to connect with us to make a new friend, while in the second, since we're not involved, she's taking it a bit more seriously.
I think she also got a shock when someone literally dissolves in water right in front of her eyes at the end of the first trial, so she becomes very serious in the second trial. The serial disappearances case was never proven to be that people can dissolve in water, until that moment happened. Like Neuvillette told us at the end of act two, she has always been treating that prophecy very seriously.
also, thank god a creator who speaks to characters after the dialogue!! there's so much information in those (like paimon straight up asking who Neuvillette is)
abyss powers have poisoning effect on elemental creatures such as dragons so if neuvi is really a hydro dragon then scratch from tartaglia is pretty serious thing for him
Ngl, Childe has the most potential to grow out of every character and hoyo is definitely hinting at Childe becoming stronger since Chapter 1 on Fontaine, so Childe definitely has the spotlight for me during the rest of Fontaine. Edit: Also love that they payed attention to detail and added his riptide on the bots like when he marks enemies and us in boss fight.
The Sovereigns literally are using the power of the abyss to fight Fanet and his shadows: Am I some kind of joke to you? If Nevelet is really a hydro dragon, then he will basically not care about this cut, unless of course he has weakened very much after reincarnation.
Traveller has never been very kind to Childe, whenever they see him there is always a dialogue option : what are you doing here? They always see him as an antagonist, honestly paimon is even more friendlier than the traveller. When they found out about Lyney is a fatui, their disappointment is very obvious. Traveller never likes the fatui
Paimon's just like a kid. Easy to hate but also easy to forgive. She felt bad for Lyney and Lynette right after that when Lyney told them about his past.
But the traveler literally called Childe his friend when they met again in Fontaine and accepted his vision. And he didn't stop Childe when he was activating his foul legacy. And he was really keen on helping out Wanderer, when he erased his existence the Traveler could have really just moved on. And besides the twins are basically lower ranking members who were victims of circumstance that Arleccino found, but Childe is still a legitimate Harbinger, with a past of endangering innocent people back in Liyue. If the traveler accepted Childe's reasoning of being in Fontaine without even being suspicious of him wanting to take the hydro archons gnosis but they're on high alert when it's the twins?? Then their reasoning is flawed or the story is just a convoluted way to drive tension.
@@petite2276Nah with Lyney it was about the deception involved, not his identity as a Fatui. Childe was pretty open about his identity and his job, and never denies if he's doing some sketchy stuff. From the looks of things, Fontaine AQ kind of assumes you have done his story quest, meaning the Traveler would have already understood the kind of person Childe is deep down. Lyney, however, is an entertainer who uses trickery on-stage (he does this about three times during his magic show, by pretending that things are going wrong but nope, it's actually just as planned), and he also hid his true identity from the Traveler until shit hit the fan. The Traveler doesn't trust Lyney not because he is Fatui, but because of his actions. Most likely they will make up and become friends again in a later AQ (Lyney's SQ seems to be in a post-Fontaine timeline, and they are pretty chummy there lol).
@@kaeyasl1t Consider: We've known Childe sine version 1.0 which was almost three years ago. We just met Lyney and Lynette that same day. The traveler had the heart to be the attorneys of people he had just met only for them to turn up to be part of an evil organization. Even worse, Lyney LIED in a TRIAL. Do you know how stupid that makes the traveler look? When it comes to Tartaglia, there is a sense of caution and the traveler always insists on the real reason of what he is doing. We couldve had that same sense of guard to Lyney and Lynette, but, then again, they lied to us before the trial began. How can we then assure that everything else they said is true? The guarde foreshadowed it all. People are the least reliable evidences.
25:51 - 26:04 As a hungarian person I'm soo pround for this archievement Chat said it yes It's a poem and I write it to you what it means and from the person who write it :> (actually just ctrl-c ctrl-v thing from twitter bc I can't explain myself even if I'm a hungarian person TwT) soo: Lennék én folyóvíz' literally translates to 'I would be streaming water', it's the title of a quite famous poet, written by Petőfi Sándor, who is considered as Hungary's national poet and is hands down the most well known poet in the country. About the poem: 'Lennék én folyóvíz' is a 5 verse poem, released in 1847. This is a very VERY romantic poem about the poet talking about how he would be for example a wild forest, but only if his lover would be a little bird in the forest. The poet: Petőfi's poets were leaning towards romanticism, his most important and popular ones being; "János Vitéz" (or previously known as Kukorica Jancsi), "Nemzeti Dal" and "A helység Kalapácsa". His first ever poem was "A Borozó", released in 1842 when he was 19 years old. Unfortunately, he lived a rather short life due to the events of the Hungarian Revolution, started in March 15 1848, in which he participated. To this day the cause of his death is unknown. What we do know, is that his death must have occured in 1849, when he 'disappeared'. Due to the many deaths that occured in the Revolution, his body has never been found or identified, leaving his death behind as a mystery. Soo that's it ^^' (Ik It's long TvT) (Just a little note I watched you since 2 years now when you react every genshin demo videos and I was a starter too and watched those videos to how people react those demos and I found you and you are soo funny and I liked it :> soo yeah soon will be 2 years to playing genshin for me and soon you too ^^)
navia is honestly one of the best written charecter, she expresses so much emotion and shes so smart and is definetly one of the charecters whit the best personality and way of talking i love her and she definetly has one of the best designs in game
Bran is the one of the smartest creators I've ever seen. He's N1 in Genshin He connects the dots really well and has good deduction. I never see that in any CC lol😂
For me, aside from Bran, MurderOfBirds also do that too but his content rn is still in Inazuma Content upload on YT but as for his Twitch streams he's also in Fontaine like other CCs. I really like the approach of both of them when it comes to story content, Bran's is more lively towards his community and I never regretted to be a part of both CCs.
@@kuyarence oh yeah! I actually don't really watch him, but I have watched videos or should I say livestreams of him analyzing Genshin. But it was like some time ago, so I don't really remember😅
Watching someone who's really passionate about the story, understanding it and able to connect the dots on the go is really refreshing. Fontaine archon quest 1 and 2 are amazing so far, from the trailer i legit thought neuvilette gonna be a bad guy, along with clorinde and arleccino but their lore team really take it up a notch to create complex characters that are not black and white. Lyney, lynette, navia, furina and neuvillete stories are fleshed out so well, heck even the knave/arleccino that we haven't seen are already looking good. My expectations for fontaine are really high rn
also as in fatui harbringers, signora's story by far the most bland (unless they bring her back some way), dottore and childe are decent but too one dimensional, scarra is decent, i hope arleccino will bring the fatui story to the top
Is the machine perhaps the former Hydro Archon, or a part of her? We have met 4 Archon's so far, being told only Zhongli and Venti are the original. However, that was quickly proven false, because Raiden and Makoto acted like the same person, even if Makoto was "officially" the Archon, and we all know it was Raiden who won the seat in the first place. Her sister was just more fit to be a ruler. Then there was Nahida, who turned out to be Rukkhadevata's new form. It shows, 4/4 times, the original archon has remained in some way. Are they really going to break that pattern in Fontaine? We know that Nahida (or Rukkhadevata at the time) was close to the previous Hydro Archon, turning her into that big, blue tree after she passed away, in order to keep her in the world. Nahida made the Akasha system, so is it possible the former Hydro Archon's consciousness could be in the Oratrice? To make the whole system powering the Oratrice, they used something they found in the Khaenriah ruins in Sumeru, the very same place the former Hydro Archon fell, and was turned into a tree by Nahida. So... What if they brought part of her back, and it's her voice in the Oratrice?
it shouldn't be the former Hydro Archon, since we already know what happened to her. She was taking part in the fighting during the Cataclysm and died at Tungi Hollow in Sumeru (the last region of sumeru), and Rukkhadevata later made her consciousness part of the Harvisptokhm.
@@Foranoda Bro, reading comprehension? I literally said that. However, don't you find it a BIT suspect that the discoveries used to create the justice-powered system was coincidentally found in the VERY SAME place she died? Nahida turned her into that tree specifically to keep her consciousness in the world. Is such an important detail really going to lead to nothing? Or, was part of her consciousness brought back along the discoveries at the ruins? That's my point. The tree is very clearly visible from Fontaine. And we JUST learned of how a consciousness can "dissolve" and spread across the land, through the water. She is the tree, but part of her can also be elsewhere, potentially.
@@darklordsatan4383 I swear youtube didn't show me most of your post despite having clicked on the "read more" button, so I didn't actually see that whole part about the tree, my bad. but where was it said that the oratrice is powered by something found in the sumeru khaenriah-ruins? I must have completely missed that
i loved the moment when 2 people started to discuss on chat over the coment "Finally, Neuvillete will be the first playable dragon!", then someone corrected him saying it was in fact, Zhongli, for the oc to respond with "i said DRAGON, not ARCHON!" just to be corrected once again, since Zhongli original form is a Dragon, and also the fact that the first playable Archon was Venti and not Zhongli as the original commenter implied XD
2:01:51 Monsieur Neuvillette sounded so done with people crashing the court proceedings 🤣🤣 I feel like the Traveler and Paimon combined is definitely Chaotic Neutral incarnate as the story progress 💯💯 also, BRAVO! BRAVO!! Mr strimmer didn't disappoint! What did you eat to have such a big, wrinkly brain?! I tip my hat to you, Monsieur Bran. Also also; *OUI*
Totally agree with Bran that the audiences’ reaction to the trial is sick. Know what this reminded me off: Chicago, movie or the broadway show. The premise of the movie [spoiler alert] was that women went to jail for killing their partners or unfaithful men. How did society see the court trials: SOCIETY’S OWN FORM OF ENTERTAINMENT.
Every single curses in Genshin is always on scale of nationality.True Khaenri'ah become immortal but still suffered erosion while those with different nationality but have some relationship with Khaenri'ah suffered the Hilichurl curse. As Dain has stated, the curse is on scale of fate itself so every single one who born Fontainian suffered the curse regardless. As of what the curse is, my guess is on the Remuria (Ancient Fontaine) dynasty shenanigan trying to spike Celestia all the way back
Fontaine is now my most fave nation in terms of environment. the scenic beautiful places. and the underwater swimming mechanic is done so well. so smooth. truly amazing.
By this point we, the players, all know that Neuvillette is the Hydro Dragon. But for the internal reveal, more than anything, I'd like the Traveler to see Neuvillette on a rainy day, mentally connect the dots, give Neuvi the Knowing Look and say the "Hydro Dragon, Hydro Dragon, don't cry" line :')
Damn this quest was really awesome... my favorite part was the part that you realized neuvillette is the hydro dragon..i also have a feeling that neuvillette will reveal his identity in version 4.1 ....dude im so excited for the act 3 😆
Can't wait till we get to know more of Neuvillette's Lore after seeing he can one tap Childe, I find him an Interesting character. I have a feeling that Furina might be in 4.2, so unfortunately I won't be able to pull for Neuvillette in 4.1....but I will get him during his Rerun hopefully.
2:49:25 Considering that the original language of the game is Chinese, in Chinese (and similarly in Japanese and Korean) whose language have been rooted in Confucianism has placed importance respect people older than oneself. To simplify, the languages have a word specifically to refer to older brother (gege in Chinese, oniichan in Japanese, oppa in Korean). This is the word that Lumine uses in game to refer to Aether. This is also why Aether is canonically recognized as the "older twin" from the get go. Moreover, they do not have a unique age-neutral term for brother. The word "Brother" is formed by combining the words for "older brother+younger brother" (xiongdi in Chinese or kyoudai in Japanese). In Japanese, kyoudai is used to refer to gender-neutral siblings, but it's unusual to use this term when only referring to one specific person, whereas in Chinese, the term for siblings is xiongdijiemei (which you could probably guess means older brother + younger brother + older sister + younger sister). Therefore, in the source language, the more natural dialogue would have been "About my younger sister/older brother..." and not "About my sibling..."
@@King_Jockey AGREED! One of my worst fears for games like these is for the story to fall flat, but I have high hopes nonetheless! I'm prepared to be wowed and I have very high expectations going forward! Fontaine singlehandedly reinvigorated my love for genshin
This is the first time I’ve really wanted to pull multiple characters based on the quest alone. First I just wanted Yae Miko, then I just wanted Alhaitham, with a side of wanting Wanderer since inazuma. I walked into Fontaine telling myself not to get attached to anybody because I’m pulling my first archon when Zhongli gets a rerun so I can finally justify building Itto 😅 And now I’m deeply in love with Navia and Neuvillette, and even Lyney has grown on me to the point that I can’t open the wish menu lest I tempt myself 😂 Also unrelated but I’ve got the fattest crush on Silver, he gets the NPC award
Ngl as a Hungarian seeing an achievement in my mither language was unexpected. I first saw it in a FB group and thought it was photoshopped. Turns out it wasn't. Anyway so far the archon quests are quite good and the way things ended I'm exited for the next one.
Do you think the people got blinded and seizure everytime they deliver a final verdict of the court? because goddamn the entire place just explode in bright light, imagine everyday witnessing a court trial
i def had some suspicion about neuv after leaving his office and the rain started im in the same boat as you hes the hydro dragon and the rain is caused by his emotional stress an he did see the activation of the foul legacy coming and interrupted it before he completed it
Great video! Your videos are really the best if you want a smooth gameplay of the Archon/Astor’s quest. No skipping or talking of text, while still always giving your ideas and thoughts about it, and I always love to see your reactions and thoughts about the quests after I completed them by myself. Also Hoveserse outdone themselves with Fontaine again, and I already thought it couldn’t get any better after Sumeru
This quest had so many levels and cool details. Neuvillette and Navia couldn’t have gotten better introductions. Getting actual tears and dragon rain tears all in one story. It was great how they gave the victims a voice. So many times stories (true crime or fully fictional) focus on the serial killer. Also the juxtaposition of justice as a spectacle and of the true justice was interesting
2:27:25 This scene is so deep. When i first did the archon quest, i felt confused, but it made sense once they reveal that the Oceanid was the missing girls. Now, rewatching the scene, i teared up
i discovered your video that i first watched which was ranking genshin characters based on their high school stereotypes last week and found myself watching more of your channel. ngl, I've been watching stream content mostly based on the general community like Tuonto, Dish, Atsu and the rest of the gang - but I realized how glad I was to find the first streamer who actually and genuinely pays attention to the lore regardless if it's a world or archon quest. generally I like watching genshin streamers do challenges and react to things, but I love it more when they nerd out on the lore. these days I'm mainly playing because of the characters and the quests, but the real fun is reading the artifacts lore and revert materials' lore. (im someone who loves worldbuilding and connecting the dots) so to find your channel and your streams really make me happy. you just gained a subscriber. (subscribed few days ago but oh well haha) I look forward to your future quest videos!
If you like it when the players pay a lot of attention to the game's lore please check out MurderOfBirds Impact. He and BranOnline are my favorite genshin youtubers. 😉
There are a few world quests where you can unlock new areas of the map, where you can find papers that hint a little at what happened to alter the Primordial Sea into its current state. It's very interesting. Fontaine probably has my favourite lore quests so far.
BRO I LOVE NEUVILLETTE AND NAVIA, My top fav characters (for now, hope it won’t change) in Fontaine 😭❤️ neuvillette says he can’t understand human emotions but he feels sadness, that’s human emotion ❤️ I love him, definitely pulling for him.
Until now my favorite region was Sumeru, but i pretty much had the same reaction to Fountain! Fountain is my number one now! Both because the scenery, the story, and i just like Furina a lot! She can be a gremlin at times, but it just fits her!
Bran: "[...] You have a tail? Can I see it?" Neuvillette: "Very well, I will grant your request." Me: "Well damn." Also I adore Neuvillette, he has already become one of my favorite characters in the game. Hopefully the rest of the quests will continue to do him justice.
After watching this for the 5th time... I realized something. Neuvilette asked why would the primordial sea reverse it's effects. But, if the primordial sea is no longer on the surface, it could have been taken by the Abyss. In this case the abyss might be experimenting with it to "Fix" the curse, like how they tried to do to the Hillachurls. If this is true, the reason why the Machine judged Tartaglia as Guilty, might be because he is connected to the abyss's power, which will directly connect him to the abyss, hence connecting him to the dissolving case. Hence he is in simple terms guilty.
wait... isn't the Confrerie of Cabriere the same group that was threatening Estelle the blacksmith and got smeared by Tartaglia in the last episode? its not the same guy but it is the same compony.
Maybe Childe was "guilty" because he works for the Northland Bank, the Confrerie owes them money or something (Since Childe was there to collect their debt during the first act), Assuming it's Mora which funded the Gardemeks or Sinthe production (idk). Bottom line is Childe is Northland bank's representative which kinda makes him guilty for indirectly being involved (idk 5:00 am thoughts man)
As to answer if the "She" at the end was a translation error, seeing as how the game is Chinese, it most likely is. If I'm remembering correctly, the word for she/him is spoken in the same way so its hard to identify as to which gender is being referred too when not read. Its possible the written version was done in the character for "she" so as to follow your choice in twin, but when spoken it still could go either way. Kinda like the Chinese version of saying them for gender neutrality.
2:16:24 IMO cant tell if he is strong or not, bcs childe literally still in transforming phase which very vulnerable, and as we know neuvi isnt a human
Hes the Hydro Sovereign tho, and they’re much stronger than the archons. If he’s the reincarnation of said sovereign then his powers may be more contained because of the human vessel but still VERY strong
It's not confirmed if he is the hydro sovereign or not, though it is heavily speculated and there's evidence to support it. Even though Childe was mid-transformation, being able to take out Childe of all people in one hit is an impressive feat nonetheless.
The most impressive part of it is the fact that dude managed to knock him out without cuasing major injuries, that takes an extreme amount of control over the blow
Gonna be interesting to see how Furina and the Oratrice are connected. Also the fact that Lenny was looking into its inner workings earlier. I think as with any creation it carries the biases of its creator, therefore the Oratrice carries whatever biases Furina had/has, meaning it is not neutral in its judgement, it is not truly serving unbiased equal justice.
I have a theory as for why chlide was declared guilty .... So in the previous act we learnt that childes master sirk told him that he have awaked "it" and i believe is involved with the primordial sea , hence he is guilty?
But even if having a connection with the Primordial Sea doesn’t implicate him with the actual crime of illegal drugs and missing/dead girls tho… My theory is that The Oratrice’s consciousness saw Childe as some kind of threat to it and the guilty verdict was more of an act of self defense rather than dispensing justice…🤔
@@scrappy_horns8139 that too could be it Now that I think about it childe awaked that whale when he was around 14 and the case started around 20 years ago so yeah your make more sense
I was gonna pull both Navia and Clorinde after seeing them in action in this act. But then they're bringing out the big boys in the next update!! My wallet's gonna be getting a beating......unless I have the will to resist!
I'm saving for lyney and wanderer reruns so I can't pull for the men or budget bronseele- If the standard banner does get a Fontaine 5 star I atleast hope it's wriothesley
Fontaine is so good. It’s the ONLY nation where the lore has actually made me show genuine reactions. It’s so dark but it’s written very well! Also now that every time it rains I’m going to be like “NEUVILLETTE’S CRYING!” 😭
I am 100% on board with Neuvi being the hydro dragon. You are the first streamer I've seen come to the same conclusion about it. As a side note my theory about Childe's conviction is that the Knave has figured out a way to manipulate the Oritrace and set Tortellini up because she plans on betraying the Tsaritsa. She needed him out of the way for whatever she has planned in Fontaine. That or the Oritrace was just reacting to the growing abyssal power that has been plaguing him.
I LOVE this quest and I can't wait to see it when I get to it. I want to pull for Neuvi so bad he deserves all the hugs and kisses and cuddles so much. Such a sweet game play I love both you and Doro's play throughs so much funny, entertaining, and informative all at the same time. Can't wait for the next one.
I really love this Archon quest and I felt really conflicted during Neuvilette and Navia's exchange at Palais Mermonia....I can see where Navia is coming from but I also understand Neuvilette's position...he can't really let his emotions cloud his judgement because he is the Chief Justice and he needs to be impartial.....man, that scene just really hurts my heart. But I am so glad they managed to talk at the end~ ❤❤❤
Going by neuvilette's description when his drip marketing dropped (you know, fontaine paparazzi speculating him to be sole male melusine, but they concluding he was chief justice before melusines were even born so he cannot be melusine; and they are like 400 years old) it's common knowledge in fontaine that neuvilette isn't human. I mean. Dude got appointed 500 years ago (we can find notes mentioning that author met newly appointed chief justice with quite unique personality, but different to clowns in court). He cannot be chief justice for 500 years and be your regular dude. The sole fact that paparazzi speculate what immortal race he may be proves the fact they know he is not human. The way he speaks to navia also shows pretty clearly that he talks about humans without him including himself and his intent there is also to communicate to her that he doesn't get humans. So it should be common knowledge in fontaine. What he is specifically tho, they have no idea. Also, regarding Neuvilette voice acting. His voice actor stated himself that he asked voice director to redo all of neuvilette's lines after he got to graveyard scene, since only then they got a good grasp on neuvilette's personality. So yeah, dude re-did all of neuvilette's lines.
That was awesome to see you play through the whole archon quest and get to see your reactions to everything! It was also great to see stuff that I did not notice when I played through it.
Originally I was going to wait a bit longer before rewatching the AQ via Bran, but I could not resist how much I was going to enjoy how down bad he was gonna be for Neuvillette 🤣
With the story that already reached at its fifth volume, if Genshin is converted into a book, it would take almost 800+ pages, considering that the archon and related world quest will be included. Hmmm, when? 🤔
The end of this act was so satisfying. I've seen a plethora of unsatisfying endings of arcs and episodes in anime and other stuff recently and man this felt good. Thanks Genshin. So often I'm left disappointed (as well after Act 1 mostly for how Traveler behaved at the end towards both Lyney/Lynette and Navia) though, I have to admit nothing beats how disappointed I was in Inazuma... but this time it made my day. Also seems like a fun stream. I only looked it up because Mihoyo likes to on one hand put it full of unneeded dialogue, but on the other hand not give you time to read the automatic black-background text. Sheesh. Not everyone can read 2 sentences in less than a second. Only caught half of that whle playing. And you couldnt read it fast enough either. Funny enough your camera view is covering it xD But I can still make out what it says :P And I ended up watching a couple more clips and skipping through the video a bit. Neuvilette the dragon huh... maybe. I didnt even think of that.
Y'all are being so sweet in the comments 😭❤
neuvillette needs to turn the oratrice off and on again lmfao!
Hope you are having a great time in Cologne!!
i cant recall if uploaded a lyney and lynette character demo reaction vid
The reason Navia said you could use some pointers on understanding human emotions better is because according to tabloids(who came up with their own theories as to who he is) have concluded that he's the only male Melusine and the father of melusines. So people of Fontaine don't see him as a human but as a Melusine 🤔
@@entropyascending515or smack it or put in rice

Yeah I was suspicious at first that he'd be evil but damn he's genuinely very nice 😢
Where did it say or imply that it rains when he cries.
I'm going to be perfectly honest, Bran by far is my most favorite/top 1 Genshin content creator right now, actually picks up important story details, piece it together and react/present it in an entertaining fashion that doesn't feel forced.
I haven't watched the video yet but what did bran called out/detail he noticed early on?
For sure. I don't even play Genshin and I like watching his videos.
Yeah, the only one similiar in that regard I would say is Zepla.

I wouldn’t say people know that Neuvillette is the hydro dragon, but more or so people just know that he’s not human since he had been around for a long time in Fontaine
Hyv posted a little paragraph that reads like a newspaper header when they posted his drip marketing, and in it involves people wondering what he was, the Melusines concluded that he was the first male Melusine because he acted like a father to them
in-game text said he brought in the Melusines 400 years ago; suggesting the possibility he lives around the cataclysm.. Or if he's actually hydro sovereign; then he actually lives prior the archon war and is the 7 original elemental dragons of teyvat like Apep.
He’s an otter in human form. Prove me wrong.
THAT'S SO CUTE neuvillette as a father figure aww
@@ft.jackjimmy7282that I can't do sir your logic is of the up most degree and hard to deny he in fact looks like an otter 🦦
Which is a clever clue, I think, since players will discover from one of the world quests that Melusines's actual "father" was a giant dead dragon.

Wriothesley is one of the new characters being released in 4.1, and he's in the administrator for the Fortress of Meropide, which is an underwater prison where criminals are sent to after being found guilty by the Oratrice.
Furina’s “Stop staring at me!” Was so amazing! She has such a good EN voice!

I really really like how Her emotional instability really shows here, being sensitive to others looks for centuries must've been so damn tiring, and the utter worry and confusion at what just happened did not help
Navia's EN VA slayed it. That's insane voice acting. I'm so looking forward for the next Archon Quest
I remember watching your VOD of this. In-case you missed it in chat, the fast text after the oceanid scene said, Vacher's body was found like he "lost his soul". It was just the doctor's announcement that he 'died of fright', but he probably suffered a worse fate.

A little real world history too
Yeah I’ve been watching tons of this quest line and I love how someone *immediately* picked up that Marcel owns the Caberete that was harassing the Blacksmith in the beginning. Good mysteries have good hints
Yeah, I didn't catch the blacksmith or fonta thing the 1st time, but Marcel had a ton of red flags
- rule of 3 (he's the last interviewed)
- the closest to Navia among the three
- everyone said two gunshots... he said "a gunshot"
- he's the only one who did not answer Navia directly, and is indirectly telling her to stop with the investigation in the guise of "your father would not want you to do this etc"
In the language of flowers, a yellow Rose 🌹 symbolizes "friendship." I think it's best in describing Navia in this story ❤
It's always fun to see if a streamer is paying attention to the main story itself. I get to have another explanation from someone's POV for some things, really cool. You're amazing to watch Bran.

"childe, without a vision, while his powers and mind are in turmoil, landed a hit on the hydro DRAGON SOVEREIGN, and MID TRANSFORMATION at that, even neuvilette was shocked himself. mind you, the powers of dragon sovereigns far surpass that of archons."
@monocearos

The thought of her doing it just to be friends with the famous Traveler makes me see her character in a much cuter way than I originally felt.
also, thank god a creator who speaks to characters after the dialogue!! there's so much information in those (like paimon straight up asking who Neuvillette is)
abyss powers have poisoning effect on elemental creatures such as dragons
so if neuvi is really a hydro dragon then scratch from tartaglia is pretty serious thing for him

Traveller never likes the fatui
sure but he acted extremely friendly in act 1 lmap

Lennék én folyóvíz' literally translates to 'I would be streaming water', it's the title of a quite famous poet, written by Petőfi Sándor, who is considered as Hungary's national poet and is hands down the most well known poet in the country.
About the poem:
'Lennék én folyóvíz' is a 5 verse poem, released in 1847. This is a very VERY romantic poem about the poet talking about how he would be for example a wild forest, but only if his lover would be a little bird in the forest.
The poet:
Petőfi's poets were leaning towards romanticism, his most important and popular ones being; "János Vitéz" (or previously known as Kukorica Jancsi), "Nemzeti Dal" and "A helység Kalapácsa".

Opinion that i have no idea if its popular or unpopular: navia is the best written character in the entire game, shenhe being a close second
2:24:25 I just realized that bran didn't talk to the melusine at the entrance of the stage, she says that neuv is like five hundreds years old
Every single curses in Genshin is always on scale of nationality.True Khaenri'ah become immortal but still suffered erosion while those with different nationality but have some relationship with Khaenri'ah suffered the Hilichurl curse.
This Is Navia's story quest... Change my MIND!
watching this after seeing your act V playthrough, i love how right you were about certain things, and how genuinely invested you are in the plot.
I dunno about y'all but this court house thing investigating Mc thing is really getting me all hyped up and it's so superbly awesome tooo
It would be cool if Hoyoverse made a horror game, especially after that Tingyun scene and Marcel/Vacher's death
This act has me confident the finale of the archon quest will go down really dark themes
I hope further acts surpass the first 2 in storytelling, if they manage to keep up the quality then Fontaine might just be the best nation there is
@@King_Jockey AGREED! One of my worst fears for games like these is for the story to fall flat, but I have high hopes nonetheless! I'm prepared to be wowed and I have very high expectations going forward! Fontaine singlehandedly reinvigorated my love for genshin
I'm hoping to god they end this quest chain on a high note, inazuma was also looking good prior to act 3
This is the first time I’ve really wanted to pull multiple characters based on the quest alone. First I just wanted Yae Miko, then I just wanted Alhaitham, with a side of wanting Wanderer since inazuma. I walked into Fontaine telling myself not to get attached to anybody because I’m pulling my first archon when Zhongli gets a rerun so I can finally justify building Itto 😅
And now I’m deeply in love with Navia and Neuvillette, and even Lyney has grown on me to the point that I can’t open the wish menu lest I tempt myself 😂
Also unrelated but I’ve got the fattest crush on Silver, he gets the NPC award
as a Canadian i can say that neuvillette is a fellow Canadian he says sorry a perfect amount of times
Ngl as a Hungarian seeing an achievement in my mither language was unexpected. I first saw it in a FB group and thought it was photoshopped. Turns out it wasn't. Anyway so far the archon quests are quite good and the way things ended I'm exited for the next one.
Same for me with the Italian achievement. I got an heart attack lmao
Do you think the people got blinded and seizure everytime they deliver a final verdict of the court? because goddamn the entire place just explode in bright light, imagine everyday witnessing a court trial
Neuvillette gives the same vibes as Zhongli. I want them to meet at an event.
I mean, they’re both ancient dragons in human form with dramatic young women as bosses.
i def had some suspicion about neuv after leaving his office and the rain started im in the same boat as you hes the hydro dragon and the rain is caused by his emotional stress an he did see the activation of the foul legacy coming and interrupted it before he completed it
Great video!
53:53 Stages of Grief:
Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance
Gotta DABDA pain away
This quest had so many levels and cool details. Neuvillette and Navia couldn’t have gotten better introductions. Getting actual tears and dragon rain tears all in one story.
It was great how they gave the victims a voice. So many times stories (true crime or fully fictional) focus on the serial killer.
Also the juxtaposition of justice as a spectacle and of the true justice was interesting
arlecchino is from fontaine so she can be dissolved in to water maybe she dies that way but is just a theory that i have
2:27:25 This scene is so deep. When i first did the archon quest, i felt confused, but it made sense once they reveal that the Oceanid was the missing girls. Now, rewatching the scene, i teared up
"Please don't hurt Neuvilette!"
More like please don't hurt Childe 😅
actually I think he doesn't care about Childe lol
2:02:18 That was an awesome scene, not just because the Traveler spoke, but it's cool reveal in an equally cool one liner.
i discovered your video that i first watched which was ranking genshin characters based on their high school stereotypes last week and found myself watching more of your channel. ngl, I've been watching stream content mostly based on the general community like Tuonto, Dish, Atsu and the rest of the gang - but I realized how glad I was to find the first streamer who actually and genuinely pays attention to the lore regardless if it's a world or archon quest.
generally I like watching genshin streamers do challenges and react to things, but I love it more when they nerd out on the lore. these days I'm mainly playing because of the characters and the quests, but the real fun is reading the artifacts lore and revert materials' lore.
Absolutely no doubt that Neuvellette is the hydro dragon. Only question is whether he'll be a weekly boss.
It's always one harbinger and one archon related boss, so it might be.
Until now my favorite region was Sumeru, but i pretty much had the same reaction to Fountain! Fountain is my number one now! Both because the scenery, the story, and i just like Furina a lot! She can be a gremlin at times, but it just fits her!
Bran: "[...] You have a tail? Can I see it?"
Neuvillette: "Very well, I will grant your request."
Me: "Well damn."
Also I adore Neuvillette, he has already become one of my favorite characters in the game.
Bottom line is Childe is Northland bank's representative which kinda makes him guilty for indirectly being involved (idk 5:00 am thoughts man)
You're my go-to channel. Always watch your videos especially when I'm having breakfast/dinner. Never stop doing this❤
As to answer if the "She" at the end was a translation error, seeing as how the game is Chinese, it most likely is.
I have a theory as for why chlide was declared guilty
....
So in the previous act we learnt that childes master sirk told him that he have awaked "it" and i believe is involved with the primordial sea ,
hence he is guilty?
But even if having a connection with the Primordial Sea doesn’t implicate him with the actual crime of illegal drugs and missing/dead girls tho…
My theory is that The Oratrice’s consciousness saw Childe as some kind of threat to it and the guilty verdict was more of an act of self defense rather than dispensing justice…🤔
@@scrappy_horns8139 that too could be it
Now that I think about it childe awaked that whale when he was around 14 and the case started around 20 years ago so yeah your make more sense
@@mi_kk329 the big mystery for me is who charged him?
I was gonna pull both Navia and Clorinde after seeing them in action in this act. But then they're bringing out the big boys in the next update!! My wallet's gonna be getting a beating......unless I have the will to resist!
Neuvillette is a must for me after the quest
Other guy has a mountain to climb to compare
I'm saving for lyney and wanderer reruns so I can't pull for the men or budget bronseele-
If the standard banner does get a Fontaine 5 star I atleast hope it's wriothesley
Bran: Please don't hurt Neuvillette! 😱
People who know: lol 😭😭😭😭😭
A lot of ppl missed the fact that marcels ppl the confriere of cabriere was the debt collectors we saw jn act 1
As someone who is usually a TH-cam Frog seeing Bran play this live was a very different experience!
Navia is a real contender for becoming my new favorite character. Hopefully her kit is good and she isn’t Dehya all over again
Boy, are you gonna be disappointed...
