    Lisa is awesome playing the Alpine Horn I watched every video with her I could find, she has to switch them reeds really fast during some songs so cool, I seen she was even here in Lakeland. Florida, USA before that would of been so cool to see her. she is so beautiful.

    This is called "Amazing Grace" in the English-speaking regions. It was written by a man who was in the slave trade (was once a slave himself) but got out and wrote the poem. The MUSIC was written down by a man named the Reverend Gallaher, so the tune was called "Gallaher." BUT Gallaher himself entitled the tune "Chiviot Hills." This is not a French word but an Old English term. The area mentioned is in the border lands between England and Scotland where they herded a great many sheep. These instruments used to be used to herd sheep, cattle, and pigs since the spread of the Indo-Europeans. Only after great tracts of forests were cleared for livestock did people start to breed dogs to herd them.
