How strange. If you watch the timing of the valves. The firing order (counting the one closest the flywheel as Cylinder No 1) seems to be: 1 and 4 together 2 and 5 together 6 and 7 together 3 and 8 together
If you slow down the video and count the 4 cylinders with number 1 being closest to the flywheel, and watch the pusrods for the exhaustvalves the firing order is 1-3-4-2 like most other 4cylinder engines.
No idea of why youtube suddenly recommends this video but i´m sure glad they did. What a cool engine !! Thank you for showing it !

I always noticed the valve order. It's the part I find the most mesmerising on big engines.

Pretty sure its a 4 cylinder. 8hr is the engine size (about 50 hp per bang) and i think the f refers to the number of cylinders.
