And a much weaker version of Piccolo was going to wipe out humanity. Androids stronger than Goku and Piccolo both are very much going to do what they Trunks timeline androids did and wipe out all of humanity.

And Raditz was able to use his scouters to see a rise in both Goku and Piccolo's power level as they charged their special attacks.

JRC I agree, this is fascinating. I haven’t watched it yet but I’m excited for this and I hope it becomes a series. This one change would have kept the Saiyans and Frieza out of the story...which would have big implications and cause the Z fighters to be much weaker than they ended up becoming.
I think the conversion would come more from them wanting to get stronger rather than loyalty. Especially Nappa. I don't think he's forgotten how Vegeta offed him lol

I honestly thought that starting with Raditz instead of vegeta and nappa would’ve been a bit more boring and we’d focus more on frieza and the like as a straight shot to all the baddies taking each other down till beerus wakes up but this is way more interesting than anything I imagined. I cannot wait for more. Piccolo is gonna be quite bruised very soon but I am far more intrigued by what happens with gohan now that he’s been turned. I’m curious to see who or how anyone can change him back to who he was. Maybe somewhere down the line a certain strong headed pig tailed girl with an attitude can knock him down a peg or two ;). Here’s the problem of adding Gine to the canon, it doesn’t make sense why Raditz would be offended by Goku having a good heart, because his mother had a good heart and he knew that, so Raditz wouldn’t be as surprised by it
The biggest problem with this is that piccolo wouldn't have used special beam cannon that soon. It's implied that he was waiting until he perfected it to take on Goku, probably meaning he'd get it where the charge time was ya know, not 5 five minutes. I think if Raditz never happened, that they'd fight a few years after that, when he could just fire off special beam cannon instantly, which would probably put them at raditz-ish level since they were both continuing to train.
They could have just revived goku immediately or even helped him (even if they didnt fight piccolo they would watch and probaby find piccolo charging his beam connon)
