I installed the PTU last night and headed to New Cabbage. Ended up having a rooftop party with a bunch of random people, one guy let me fly his alien bug ship. It was great. I was also flying decoupled for the first time, the city is a great place to mess around in like that. I don't know how I didn't blow myself up lol. Doing flips and stuff in between the towers is a trip.
It was a lot of fun. I don't know if I managed to nail my stick settings, or if they did something to the flight model, but I think I'll be flying decoupled a lot more now.

This game is making so many ships that there's surely a ship for everyone. Because each ship has an in-game "company" that makes them, and because each company has its own aesthetic, if you like this one then you'll probably like the look of other ships from the same company. In this case, it's Argo. If you like industrial looking ships in general, you might also like the ships from MISC.
Show your friends these videos. Let them see the game, good and bad. Let them know this is not even live, but a buggy playable alpha of the alpha. This is just a taste of what you get for $45. Those expensive ships are designed for multiple people. You can buy them but it's like piloting an aircraft carrier by yourself. He hasn't even done any gameplay in it because he's just enjoying being immersed in the verse. It's just that amazing.

I strongly recommend to you a spaceship what excells your special Character traits...a RELIANT MAKO NEWS VAN...i told to you once you have a very nice voice. With this ship can make CobraTV for real, because it has a very special Camera build in. Someone with your voice would make a realy good commentator for ingame events like the Daymar Rally!
It's amazing, i totally like what CIG is doing, but common, the ships vanishing in far, the lod distance settings are just totally breaking the immersion....yes , i refuse to believe each ship is not made with low lod level model, therefor setting adjustment is all it should need :)
You haven't explored any caves yet or tried mining? I think you would enjoy that also, I'm waiting for medical game play to come out. I have a small fleet of medical, rescue and salvage ships. If they do as well with that as the did with planet tech and the crime system, I will be very happy.

He should try flying more with roll and pitch instead of yawing all corners. I dont know, if the blocky ship would turn correctly as ships with bigger wings tend to fly better in atmosphere... Sadly roll and then pitch isnt a thing, though it is the most natural and less damaging gforce that you can apply to the body, as the spine supports it. U can get more gforces like that, but it will have other effects than blackout or redout...and it would damage you, if you constantly would fly that way. Sadly those effects arent simulated, so everyone is yawing like crazy...which makes flying so much more unspectacular and also fighting easier and limited to more or less circlestrafing your oponent with unpredictable movement added to that to make you harder to hit. This flying also directly has the advantage that you will normally show the smallest crosssection of your ship by default (which is the front typically). So, combat is who has more facetime with the oponent while avoiding incomint damage. Sadly flying the ship is the part that is the easiest ...way too easy in term of combat strategies....a ww2 style/atmosphere fighting simply is more skill based...but tbh is also not what people would expect of the flightmodel of spaceships. Still impatiently waiting that the flying gets not more difficult but mastering it for combat really pays out...which it currently is a bit too easy. A mouse usually shoots so precise with gimbals, that it is superior. Its more about staying on target and aiming than actual maneuvering.

Over here in the states we here a lot of bad things about bbc but then using words like investigation delayed game mishandling of funds and things like that then leaving it at a cliff hanger does impact people. It drives potential people away from the project. I was once a person that thought they were making more money keeping it in development than finishing it. The misinformed vitriol is surprising still as you can see the game for yourself. I notice that some of the older anti-SC YT channels have had to do things like redefine the word scam from meaning that CR is planning to run off with all the cash as we cry about the vapourware to; he isn't going to deliver on every single statement/promise that has been made by anyone to do with SC over the past 7 years. They're not that specific about which "promises" will be broken of course. The Beeb is a target of general propaganda to discredit traditional media sources that we have seen over the past 5-10 years. Like any huge organisation, it's not perfect but it's pretty good and doesn't deserve to be treated that way in my opinion. Anyway, I love the videos. If you turn the resolution down. I am playing on an old 2011 intel CPU and a 1060 6gb with 16gb ram. Biggest thing is an SSD. Definitely want one for SC. I play at 3440x1440 at low and my FPS is pretty low especially in cities. When I turn it down to 1080 it jumps up about 50% more FPS.

The shields do not block a human body and there’s a good scientific reason why. You are able to get close to the windshield and shoot through it as long as you are through the shields. It makes sense. And is also used logic in Star Trek Star Wars and most sci fi movies
Ok Great Terraforming is always for sure a technical success, but I hope they'll put something more than rock and tree, because we got massive planet with nothing really special on it .... with time, I hope more than that ... I don't need 100 hundred of empty planets. I saw lot of game with massive world and graphics, but the faune & flore was so bad ... wait and see.

yes and right now there are 3 planets. There are a bunch of moons, but I do not have an exact number off the top of my head. Something like 10 probably. You can explore but there is no actual gameplay for it yet. In the future you will be able to find never before seen items and places and sell that info to people. Or claim it for your own.

The mole is definitely the first proper multi crew ship that solely focus in utilities, so far we just limited to ship turrets

Hey man, I hope you noticed that the BBC didn't rag on SC at all. It wasn't a deep dive but they were fair and there was none of the usual BS.
I seen that. I left my video up because it wasn’t only about the bbc. I still feel they muddied the water by even bringing it up. But it was more about the state of the game viewed by others. I used the article to bring up things people repeat.
@@THExXxCOBRA The constant misinformation about SC on the internet, especially with lazy gaming "journalists" parroting the same tired BS stories from 4 years ago is annoying but it doesn't seem to be negatively affecting the game that much. The Beeb gets more criticism than it deserves though in my opinion. It actually has very high journalistic standards.
Over here in the states we here a lot of bad things about bbc but then using words like investigation delayed game mishandling of funds and things like that then leaving it at a cliff hanger does impact people. It drives potential people away from the project. I was once a person that thought they were making more money keeping it in development than finishing it. Until I came upon a video like the one I did. And a citizen a while back reached out to me and gave me correct information. Click should have asked about the innovative tech being invented to make this game. They should have asked what walls were being knocked down and roads paved for future developers and future games. It was all click bait no pun intended.

@@THExXxCOBRA There are plenty of dickheads on the internet sadly. There seem to be loads of troll that hate SC with a passion as well. The misinformed vitriol is surprising still as you can see the game for yourself. I notice that some of the older anti-SC YT channels have had to do things like redefine the word scam from meaning that CR is planning to run off with all the cash as we cry about the vapourware to; he isn't going to deliver on every single statement/promise that has been made by anyone to do with SC over the past 7 years. They're not that specific about which "promises" will be broken of course.
The Beeb is a target of general propaganda to discredit traditional media sources that we have seen over the past 5-10 years. Like any huge organisation, it's not perfect but it's pretty good and doesn't deserve to be treated that way in my opinion. Anyway, I love the videos. Really nice to see new people getting into the game and it get some positive coverage from Streamers. The game can be super annoying but it's pretty glorious too.
I don't know if you do that kind of thing but me and a few old SC veterans are planning an event to celebrate the launch of 3.8 and you would be very welcome.

If you turn the resolution down. I am playing on an old 2011 intel CPU and a 1060 6gb with 16gb ram. Biggest thing is an SSD. Definitely want one for SC. I play at 3440x1440 at low and my FPS is pretty low especially in cities. When I turn it down to 1080 it jumps up about 50% more FPS.
Jo flyserj I’m rocking a similar laptop and was definitely playable on 3.7 and 3.8 should be even more optimized so hop in the game!

Whoops wrong message to wrong person lol I deleted it. But I’m sure the shields stop a certain about of mass and it energy force heading toward it. The shields do not block a human body and there’s a good scientific reason why. You are able to get close to the windshield and shoot through it as long as you are through the shields. It makes sense. And is also used logic in Star Trek Star Wars and most sci fi movies

Ok Great Terraforming is always for sure a technical success, but I hope they'll put something more than rock and tree, because we got massive planet with nothing really special on it .... with time, I hope more than that ... I don't need 100 hundred of empty planets. I saw lot of game with massive world and graphics, but the faune & flore was so bad ... wait and see.
To all the haters, the devs seem to put way too much effort into something that is supposed to be nothing more than a scam from your point of view.

How many planets does it have?
yes and right now there are 3 planets. There are a bunch of moons, but I do not have an exact number off the top of my head. Something like 10 probably. You can explore but there is no actual gameplay for it yet. In the future you will be able to find never before seen items and places and sell that info to people. Or claim it for your own.
@@Cobra-eu5pc actually, 100 systems was the original goal. That would equal at least 500 planetary bodies as a minimum I would think.
@@Cobra-eu5pc Yeah the goal was 100 star systems. Each system would have maybe 4-5 planets there. That however does not count that each planet may have 2-4 moons.
