📌 MAYAPUR -ISKCON 2024
Once a small village on the bank of the Ganga, Mayapur shot to global fame as the headquarters of ISKCON, a Vaishnav institution founded by Srila Prabhupada in the 1970s.
The name Mayapur derives from Miyapur (Bengali: মিঞাপুর [Miñāpura]), the Bengali name of a village known for the settlement of Muslim fishermen. The name Miyapur was mentioned in various government documents, including maps and surveys.
It is a popular pilgrim centre for Vaishnavites (worshippers of Lord Vishnu) as it is believed that an avatar of Lord Krishna (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu), Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was born in the city in 1486 AD. Mayapur is one of the nine dhams of the holy islands, which look like petals of a lotus flower.
The construction of the temple started in the year 2010 and is expected to be completed by 2022. 2- Located in West Bengal's Mayapur of Nadia district, the estimated cost of the temple is $100 million.

📌 RULES FOR ISKCON MAYAPUR:
No smoking or drinking or any type of intoxication is allowed in the campus( not even coffee). Eating or carrying any type of non-vegetarian items inside the campus is strictly forbidden. Playing any mundane(non-devotional) music is not allowed within the campus. No pets of any kind are allowed inside the campus.

Darsana-arati: 7:00am
Srila Prabhupada Guru-puja: 7:30am
Class on Srimad-Bhagavatam (English and Bengali separately): 8:00am
Bhoga-arati: 12 noon (temple closes at 1:00pm and reopens at 4:00pm)
Sandhya-arati: 6:30pm
Class on Bhagavad-gita (Bengali): 7:45pm (temple closes at 8:30pm)
