I'm beginning to wonder, just how many ways can you only achieve a climax... Just finished your April fools joke. Had a good laugh. You almost got me, but I still feel what you said about our society at large was right. Keep having fun.
I cant believe they thought "Kevin" was a good idea, because hes supposed to be Janeane who was actually smart and capable. All they ended up doing was spitting in the eye of Ghostbusters fans
I never saw this movie nor had any interest. If I could re subscribe I would because quite frankly you suffered so we didn't have to. A tip of the hat to you sir. I don't know how you get through this garbage but you are truly a super hero.
It was definitely the start of the "Let's replace male leads with female leads" trend, which ironically has killed every franchise that has followed that trend.
How does the movie expect us to like these ghostbusters when they straight up murder an innocent guy (who was just being sceptical) and don’t even seem to have any remorse what’s so ever.
This review gave me two instances of nasty flash backs. 1. Back when this came out I worked with a bunch of hyper progressives who tried so hard to pretend to like this movie that it made me laugh far more than the actual movie did. 2. At 0:59 You are quite correct, everything was truly trying to be the next MCU at that time. As a lifelong Universal Monsters fan, the Dark Universe . . . . well I didn't like it and clearly nobody else did.
It’s difficult to explain for me but even I do agree with some of your criticisms and the usual things people dislike about this movie I still find it pretty enjoyable and I liked it more than Afterlife. Afterlife was decent in the first part but once they started copying the plot of the first movie like in The Force Awakens I found it pretty boring. Yep, Ghostbusters 2016 also repeats the plot points of the first movie but I felt they made it with a twist. To me the two major problems were that it seemed to include too many ad-libs and that it could have been a little more cinematic. It felt a little like a SNL sketch, which in part is adequate but the original movie (and the second one) were sometimes scary. That said I didn’t dislike the cartoony effects in the 2016 one , I really liked how they animated Slimer, for example. And I do like the characters. They just needed to adjust more to a plot. For example I like the Kevin character but some of the gags were too goofy even for him and felt like totally ad lib (him mistaking eyes for ears, for example, is Patrick Star’s level of stupidity, however him using glasses without lenses is a funny gag, I can imagine a very dumb hipster doing that). I also really love Holtzmann, then again I love Looney Tunes. And yeah, Kate McKinnon maybe made too many weird faces but I still found the character funny and believable enough (like the rant she made at the end, revealing she’s kind of a crazy introvert weirdo with some actual feelings) . Instead of Afterlife I would have preferred a sequel of this with the tone a little more adjusted to the originals. I just like these characters more than the ones in Afterlife. I mean, the girl character in Afterlife was a good character, but the others were boring. I also kinda prefer adult girls rather than kids in a Ghostbusters movie. I just don’t think Ghostbusters should be the Goonies.
I love how you carry a theme in these vids, only way I can achieve climax, LMAO! If you have a blooper reel from any of these, that would be awesome to release in conjunction with this or any others. I don't know how you could have kept a straight face through half this shit, LOL.
I saw this a couple of times thinking it would get better but soon realized that they just took the first movie and changed some stuff for the worst. It's kinda sad actually. Those four women are funny as hell and some writers were paid for this garbage. Rest In Peace Answer the call.
I wanted a Ghostbusters 3 for so long. And then we got this. Awful film. And ultimately it killed my enthusiasm for anything more Ghostbusters. Afterlife was fine... but take it or leave it.
Wait, there's a sequel? 😮 Great assessment! This is the modern day whacky 60s British comedy. I'm surprised no one drives around in a sports car wearing a gorilla suit in the last act. Pa...thet...tic...!
Ok so my problem with this review... I thought the movie was terrible but apparently it was far worse and my mind blocked out half the terrible crap that occured... Now I hate my life even more for losing the money and the 2 hrs of my life that I will never get back... OMG this movie was awful... You would think it would even insult the feminists.
There were blips of good moments. Patty acting closer to a real human when she was by herself being freaked out by ghosts was at least appropriate. Kevin being as dumb as he was almost never really worked but at the end when you hate everyone as much as possible, his gag with the sandwich and not being in danger was enough to elicit some chuckles. It was the only time I did, but at least it felt like an actual written joke that isn't buried in "REMEMBER THIS" or talked over. Nothing else works. No one is likeable so there's no one to feel positive towards, it's like someone saw a Judd Appatow film but forgot to fill it with characters who vary in being jerks or stupid. The tech babble never feels authentic coming from their mouths, and that wouldn't be such a problem if the film didn't focus on it as the whole evolution of the party being new ways to fight ghosts. There's no struggling business focus besides "we're poor........still can afford all these advanced age nuclear tech and metal alloys and never about to go bankrupt tho". There's no relationship to follow, the lead is smitten with a dumb oaf while already in a relationship to someone who's embarrassed to be seen with her and it leads nowhere. Just another situation that the film doesn't care about beyond having this scene as a setup for dancing and poor attempts at humor. The real problem is that its humor is so desperate, it topples over any level of character you can have. Erin is supposed to be a down-on-her-luck intelligent person, yet she routinely engages in the various things that would embarrass her with enthusiasm, because we need someone to say something funny so everyone join in as if you have tourettes and can't hold yourself back from contributing regardless of the scene or context. A person has died, and the only thing an officer and 2 of the accused can think of is to trade movie references while another just makes funny faces.
I always enjoy watching roasts of this film. I saw it when it was free. It wasn't quite as bad as I was expecting. It was by no means appointing, though. It was disappointing. What made it exceed my expectation is that it didn't have nearly as much comedy as the trailer made it seem. That's because the worst parts of the film were when the film was intentionally trying to be funny. Out of all my encounters with Chinese food, I never ever had a problem with portions or quantity. Whenever I've had wonton soup, it's always been packed with wonton. What are they trying to say? I don't know if it's a race thing or a lady thing, but I'm confused as hell.
It was meh when I saw it and like a aged cheese it's got funkier with age. One of the pioneers of studios attacking fans of beloved franchises for the crime of not enjoying their movie.
It amazes me that there are actually people still out there who legitimately love this movie after all these years, even though most of us know by now that it's garbage. Normally, I'm the type of person that doesn't care either way and doesn't tell you what to like or what not to like (i.e. Barbie). But this movie treats the audience like they're total idiots. And you know what? Maybe some of them are, because of movies like Ghostbusters 2016. It makes the entire human race look absolutely horrendous and indefensible. Even with the existence of Afterlife and it's upcoming sequel (which, no matter what happens with that movie, it will still be better than the 2016 P.O.S.), this movie still hurts. I can't stand it. But I am glad we have at least moved on with this franchise, so there's that.
It wasn’t funny. I didn’t make it through the entire movie. I saw enough dancing and had to turn it off. Almost an hour in, so give me a little credit.
I actually didn't mind this movie. I guess because I wasn't a fan of the original Ghost Busters. This film did have it's moments, I especially liked the look of the ghosts. The jokes occasionally landed for me, as I found the humor in the original rather lame. I have to give this film credit for giving Leslie Jones character a purpose. The character Winston in the original shows up late and really has no purpose other than he was an extra hand. At least Jones's character Patty was a transit worker who was knowledgeable about the City Grid.
I'm beginning to wonder, just how many ways can you only achieve a climax... Just finished your April fools joke. Had a good laugh. You almost got me, but I still feel what you said about our society at large was right.
Keep having fun.
Adam's climaxes had a better story arc than anyone in this movie.
I passed out from laughing so hard. When I woke up, I was still laughing
hahahahahahahaaaaa
"Subscribe for misogyny"
Well, twist my arm, you got it! 😂
The thumbnail perfectly describes this movie.
Haha this made me laugh, something the movie itself couldn't achieve!
I cant believe they thought "Kevin" was a good idea, because hes supposed to be Janeane who was actually smart and capable. All they ended up doing was spitting in the eye of Ghostbusters fans
This is Adam at his best, and he is the best. This is epic!
Bro your impression of Kate McKinnon was too good it made me dip my head in a bucket of ice
I never saw this movie nor had any interest. If I could re subscribe I would because quite frankly you suffered so we didn't have to. A tip of the hat to you sir. I don't know how you get through this garbage but you are truly a super hero.
This review is now the only way I can achieve climax.
“It’s the only way I can achieve climax” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Priceless
“This movie hates comedy.” Quote of the video.
Ghostbusters Afterlife was everything this shouldve been
Ghostbusters Afterlife is like failing twice in a row.
Hey Johnny Zenith, just finished typing that out and then saw your comment. Freaking hysterical.
You deserve more subscribers
I actually see this movie as the moment Hollywood began to die.
agreed.
It was definitely the start of the "Let's replace male leads with female leads" trend, which ironically has killed every franchise that has followed that trend.
Hilarious vid Adam! Well done!!
A truly terrible movie. Thank goodness Andy Garcia shows up for the only funny line of the movie. "NEVER compare me to the JAWS mayor!"
How does the movie expect us to like these ghostbusters when they straight up murder an innocent guy (who was just being sceptical) and don’t even seem to have any remorse what’s so ever.
you know a movie is bad when Leslie Jones is the only entertaining part of the movie
Your Seinfeld impression had me rolling 😅
Love these roasts. Most excellent
HAHA!! Love the "Anyone can just TAKE a reservation" reference!!!!!!
This review gave me two instances of nasty flash backs.

"'Answer the call'...I'd rather not."
Adam said "climax" as much as Vin Diesel would say family.
Loved the review got a free ticket I felt robbed

I actually like this movie too
NOSTALGIA 😂 "Whistle 3x, double-snap fingers, and point"
Adam's rant for this one js going to be gold.
Useless trivia I for some reason know; Bill Murray's character was revealed to have survived the fall in a tie-in book for the film.
This is the best reenactment of a movie that doesnt exist ever.
I still can't stop laughing, please stop, I'm starting to cry.
I love how you carry a theme in these vids, only way I can achieve climax, LMAO! If you have a blooper reel from any of these, that would be awesome to release in conjunction with this or any others. I don't know how you could have kept a straight face through half this shit, LOL.
This is one of the greatest reviews of all time.
I've refused to watch this movie ever since that first trailer, and every single review of it EVER has only proven how smart that decision had been.
I havent seen anything roasted to these levels since the Hindenberg crash in 37.
“Alright…this chick is Toast!!!”
The only part that made me laugh was Dan Akorord's cameo as a taxi driver when he said the famous line, "I ain't afraid of no ghost"
Absolutely hilarious review luv it
I love your reviews!
9:14 LMAO that one was perfect
How many films used the Sky beam😅 and why did they think it was a good idea
I saw this a couple of times thinking it would get better but soon realized that they just took the first movie and changed some stuff for the worst. It's kinda sad actually. Those four women are funny as hell and some writers were paid for this garbage. Rest In Peace Answer the call.

This movie is almost everything wrong with Hollywood. Adam, you nailed it.
like Barbie who made nearly a billion
Why hasn't the Riffrax guys taken on this trainwreck?
Even though, I dont know if id want to watch Ghostbusters 2016 again even then
I choose to remember Andy Garcia in "Internal Affairs" and forget that I don't live in the 80s forever.
I'm going to finally make it through this movie. Thanks......I guess.
My Ghostbusters ended in 1989, never had any interest in watching the Chick busters or Afterlife.
You’re hitting your stride Adam
Wait, there's a sequel? 😮 Great assessment!
This is the modern day whacky 60s British comedy. I'm surprised no one drives around in a sports car wearing a gorilla suit in the last act. Pa...thet...tic...!
I absolutely REFUSE to ever watch this movie. Ever.
Adam, are you having a hard time achieving climax?
Pure comedy! 👌🏾 these facts bring joygazms Adam....
Hell yes! Can't wait!
Came for the movie review. Stayed for the climaxes and tiny toons references.
DeBarge sings Rhythm of the Night but not the song you were singing.
Dude, you slay me
Ghostbustee’s: Strong Female Leads!
Shout-out to Tiny Toons
These are the "Wrooooong feeeemaaale leeeeeeaaaads"!!!!!!
It's about slime
Great rant! Always a good time when I click on your video!🔥🔥
Never saw it..never will.
…… you know why out of everyone and anyone, they had a bust of EGON. You know why.
4:18 - i closed my eyes and could picture jerry doing this to your voice. and now its the only way i can achieve climax.
Ok so my problem with this review... I thought the movie was terrible but apparently it was far worse and my mind blocked out half the terrible crap that occured... Now I hate my life even more for losing the money and the 2 hrs of my life that I will never get back...

Beautiful.
Am I only where didnˋt see the movie?
I envy you
Thankfully, no

Awesome 5 stars
Love the roast.
Damn , I forgot this was a thing.
It was meh when I saw it and like a aged cheese it's got funkier with age. One of the pioneers of studios attacking fans of beloved franchises for the crime of not enjoying their movie.
Raising Arizona
I am so happy I never wasted my time watching this junk
This movie was awful. I’m glad after life turned out pretty decent and I’m hoping the sequal can build on thaf
It amazes me that there are actually people still out there who legitimately love this movie after all these years, even though most of us know by now that it's garbage.

personally im here for the Tiny Toons references. and its the only way i can achieve climax 😢
Bustin' makes me feel good
🤣
I want to unfollow you just so I can follow you again. *I AM IN TEARS* too many quotables. I’m so happy I found you.
Nice! Thanks!
Love the roast but aww I thought the movie was cute
This review is the only I can achieve climax! (I feel like this is going to be a thing from now on)
Your review is undoubtedly more entertaining than this hollow cash grab.
Me too.
This movie isn't good. At all. Not even a little. Lets all pretend it does not exist.
It wasn’t funny. I didn’t make it through the entire movie. I saw enough dancing and had to turn it off. Almost an hour in, so give me a little credit.
Its alot better than Last Jedi
It just wasn’t funny.

Oh Adam, I didn’t know you hate women….
😂
Horrible film
This movie sucks and it's extremely lazy due to lack of effort
Proud to say I’ve never and will never see it
It's not that bad, but still average at best.
this was very funny
One of the worst movies ever made in that it is sooooo unfunny and painful to sit through. Just so desperate
Great roast. This movie sucked so bad.
The movie is so bad, theres nothing funny about it... not even how terrible the movie is
