- DONT DO THIS with a bull terrier. Naughty English bull terrier almost bites me while I bath her. Tess is normally such a well behaved bull terrier but for some reason I can not get her aggressive side out of her while she is in the bath. All dogs either love or hate baths, I guess this stubborn English bull terrier of mine hates them. She is a very naughty dog at times.

if you have a bully, you will know they do not have the usual instinct driven personality as many races have. a bully is a mix between a human and a dog. our bully is the most peacefull dog i have ever owened or known. it never bites for real or threatens anyone - not even aggressive males coming at him. he only defends himself, if no other option is available.
Why did she get angry?
Although it looks like anger it isn't. She was simply uncomfortable and at no point was I thinking she may bite.
@@BullyBonanza Then I may have a solution. Some dogs do feel uncomfortable when sprayed with water, but they all like being submerged in it, swimming etc. Thus maybe next time you could just fill the bath tub with water and soapy froth, a sponge... and there you go. I am confident that she will feel more comfortable having a bath than a shower.

My male bull terrier used 2 do the same thing in the tub ! Its hilarious😂 they wanna bite the water jug but instantly stop once they realise your hand/arm is there.. I just love these dogs!

Bull terriers, do not like to be bullied! They also have a mind of their own. I just love 💕 their independent personality, although it can be challenging. Best wishes with yours we love ❤️ ours so completely!
Best dogs ever, I had two of them but they don't live long and die mostly from heart attacks. The first 2 years they destroy anything with their powerful bite, after that period they sleep on their back, head out of the sofa with his crown jewels up in the air. They are super friendly to people and weaker animals but if you encounter someone with an angry dog you better quickly move on or you bull terrier is ready to confront the other dog. Before I forget it, the most funny is the bullie run, he gets sometimes overexcited and runs in loops around in your house jumping into sofas or running into you or a door, a wall, to laugh your eye's out.
Ik heb 2 EBT gehad en je kan je geen betere hond en vriend voorstellen, de eerste 2 jaar bijten ze wel alles kapot en nadien worden ze veel kalmer. Ze slapen meestal op hun rug met hun hoofd uit de sofa en tonen ongeneerd aan iedereen hun kroonjuwelen. Het is een hond die van mensen en zwakkere dieren houdt, maar bij een ontmoeting met een andere hond , die hem eventueel wil aanvallen ga je beter weg daar de EBT een gevecht niet uit de weg gaat. En vooraleer ik het vergeet je moet de bullierun gezien hebben, de hond rent als een gek door je huis daarbij springend in alle zetels en tegen alles opbotsend om je een breuk te lachen. Ze leven echter niet lang meestal door een hartaanval.

Beautiful bully. Our Ruby who sadly passed away last year hated baths. In ten and a half years we tried twice to bath her. Both times as a young dog , total disaster. Second time I even got in the tub with a pair of shorts on to help her stay calm. She jumped out and knocked the toilet seat off in the process. Ended up when needed cleaning her in the garden with a bowl of warm water and a sponge and hosing her down. Bull terriers are the best dogs in the world but also the most stubborn.
Thanks Keith. They definitely are stubborn thats for sure, Tess is ok with baths now as long as she gets her peanut butter before, during and after 😂. It was hard to change her mind but we got there in the end.

Are these dogs good for helping people who have anxiety attacks or struggle to feel loved? She’s very cute.
I'm not too sure about being a service dog because I know nothing about it but they are full of love for everyone they meet so can not see why they wouldn't make a brilliant companion.
They are the best in every sense they will love you & make you laugh like no other.
As service dogs not too much, i dont think they are widely used, though i have seen a video of one being a protection dog. I have a miniature bull terrier and i have anxiety... she's friendly, funny and loving. Full of life and energy. I enjoy having her around. However they aren't a good breed for 1st time owners as they do get stubborn so they need a lot of training and a lot of socialization from a young age. They also have a high prey drive (so if you have cats you have to introduce them and socialise them from a young age too) so they chase cats...chickens...rats (as they were bred as ratters) mine has managed to kill 2 chickens and a rat...do not let them off leash in an open area, because they will follow their nose and explore and sometimes ignore the recall. Other than that they are an awesome family pet.

The same thing used to happen with certain dogs at the daycare/groomer I worked at.
Some were super calm getting bathed, knew the turns and everything. But 1 or 2 would let out the highest pitched whaling after just 1 drop of water 😂
Ours didn't like baths at start but whenever she started growling, we put a couple treats in the bath for her and she ate them and didn't growl. After a while, she was absolutely fine with baths

Bull terriers are so sweet, they’re just really stubborn and are almost like a special needs dog. Hard to control and hard to keep around other dogs. I own one and she’s such a sweetie, just very hard to take care of. If anyone were to get this dog, I’d suggest that it’s not a first timer.
Its all in the training. Tess is brilliant and always listens to me when we are out walking or in the flat. Definitely not like she is a special needs dog but yes very stubborn until I let her know I am more stubborn than her and I think they make for very good first dogs because they are so loyal and loving. Once someone that has never owned a dog gets a bully they will have a bully for life.
I agree I have two and if they are trained well with lots of patience and time and right techniques they become easy dogs Completely agree they are stubborn but good training with any dog pays off
She was doing well the majority of the bath. What was it she didn't like the few couple times? Most dogs enjoy a nice bath and caressing.

She’s amazing, I had a male fully white English bull terrier growing up he was the most gentle dog going very strong and smart though he used to open doors 🤗💙❤️
...I'm not sure if this makes me more nervous or not. Mine learned how to open the gate last year. Which was chill, until she let out a border collie mix and they went running. Can't let either in the front yard anymore. Waiting for the day she learns that trick, too.

I have a 2 yr old female that is mostly deaf, like 96% if I were to give my thoughts.She hears things I can't and sometimes other dog barks. Since naming her was futile she ended up with HER as her name, HILO HER properly. she is quite fond of bath time and most anything but the nail trim...any touching of her feet really. Being the first deaf dog I've owned, I am on a learning curve but she still has a wild card side of her that I keep my good eye on. She is in many respects one of the best dogs I've owned. I'm sure you can relate that I am just telling anyone/everyone about HER because I am just a proud papa, ty! She has a hard time breathing sometimes...but not always....what can I do to help?

My BT, Nellie, would have headed for the corner of the furthest room from the tub - when she heard the water running. Haha! . . .then, afterwards, would head outside to immediately roll in the grass/dirt. Why I love her so.

Try a small children's pool if you have a yard. A 50/50 mixture of water and vinegar in a spray bottle helps for itching or allergies. Also try massaging coconut oil on their skin after baths. I think she was just nervous. Possibly irritated in that area. I see you did nothing wrong and she looks gorgeous.
Beautiful temperament. I had a red and white bitch called Rhea. Miss her a lot. Now have a rescue rottweiler called vinny. 👍

I had a male and his name was Razor. He loved my children to death and his family. This is the best breed of dogs. They love children so much and are the clowns of the house. They actually play with children. Mine was always making noises and talking to my girls. Haha they even smile. He would sit there and just smile at us . I miss his beautiful almond triangle eyes lol. Miss him dearly, my 2 young girls miss him. My girls were both raised with him and he was the most loving and gentle thing with them. My Razor was a clumsy ball of energy. He was a very affectionate and loving dog. They are afraid of nothing. I have never ever had an animal like him who was so special in every way. He was like a block of muscle so strong and ripped but the sweetest little angel at the same time. My little goof ball😂It’s funny cause even though he would love my husband, they only have one owner and it was me💖He would never listen to my hubby 🤣and would follow me and my children everywhere. Anyways I can go on and on about him and this breed of dog. To me in my heart they are the best of dogs and loyal. The best to protect your family as well. He was a guardian in my house and on the land. See sometimes it’s not just about the size because he was our bulldozer haha. Take care and thanks again for your amazing video. She been my light since I got her at eight weeks old so I know what your saying when you say you're missing Razor and I haven't even lost my girl. I know it’s so heartbreaking and sad but that’s the hardest part that we have to let them go one day. One thing I can say is I had all of those years of beautiful memories with him. He was the best animal towards my young children. He was white and had black patches with some brindle inside. My handsome boy hihi.They become part of the family like our family. We get so attached to them and love them. I’m so excited🤗 that I’ve found your channel. Take some treats and feed her at the same time as a bath and it turns into being fun to have a bath for her.. we have three bull terriers and it works on all of them .. sucks.. 😂 we use dried sprats to get them in to the shower 🧼

Ha ha my girl drinks the bath water too!cant get her in as easy though ,she runs away from the bath and “pancakes” so you can’t pick her up ...fortunately she is easily distracted and will forget to stay pancaked so we can just pick her up the moment the lifts up alittle .

I bathe my bully in super warm water but just to be dramatic he shivers (only when I look at him) like he’s been pulled from the titanic wreckage 😂 also these dogs also just do that fake bity thing as a dramatic “f off” mine does it when if I mess with his feet. It’s like they’re old enough to know not to puppy bite but these dogs stay mentally puppies for their whole lives so they do a air bite to compensate lol

I'm getting mine in 21 days can't wait I'm getting it from my niece there asking R1800 for it but we're gonna get it for R600 which eqauls to 42 dollars I know kinda cheap but anyways my grandma said she'll bye it for my birthday it's a black and white female and watching his videos gives me so much advise

@@Stokkies714 My MBT is allergic to chicken. the red spots are a rash called contact dermatitis. When my girl sneaks chicken, she is licking her paws raw. If it itches badly you can try a hydrocortisone spray for dogs

Alexa Penn Hi Alexa! I actually had an EBT while living in Manhattan and assure you that it’s not impossible. But it requires a serious commitment. The breed has above-average demands in terms of owner time and attention and needs a consistent and firm but really gentle hand because they’re extremely sensitive.. However, they give back in joy and love beyond your wildest imaginings if you do right by them! If you can give them the time, exercise and leadership that they require and are prepared to encounter occasional discrimination because of the breed’s undeserved bad reputation, they are the perfect NYC dog! My girl lived to be 14 and the first half of her life was spent in small East Village apartments. The breed size and disinclination to bark make them a great choice for apartment life. The breed personality is without equal. My pooch was ever cheerful and friendly and even helped my nephew when he was learning to walk by walking slowly beside him and acting as a physical support. This was a plan that she and the nephew came up with spontaneously! She also happily stood in as a superhighway for toy cars (who doesn’t like a good massage?) I’m still an apartment dweller, now in a different busy city teeming with dogs and people, and after 7 years of EBT-less life, I’m ready to do it again. I’m picking up an EBT puppy in 2 weeks, this time a mini. As an aside, IMHO a rescue EBT is best left as an undertaking for experienced EBT owners or dog trainers. I personally believe the risk for problems with health and behavior is higher than with an average shelter or rescue dog due to the sensitivity and stubbornness of the breed combined with the likelihood that people relinquishing an EBT have traumatized it through unpreparedness and/or irresponsibility and the possibility that irresponsible breeding was part of the equation.
@@ledachase6130 I couldn't put it better myself and your 100% right with the rescuing bull terriers, once they have bad characteristics its a lot of time and effort to work with the dog to gain trust enough to teach right from wrong, it doesn't always work and is not really for the faint at heart. So happy for you getting another bull terrier after 7 years of appreciation from a far, hope everything goes well 🙏

My. Mini loves water she's ok with showering nail trimming but she doesn't like other dogs or animal very lovable with children and people
Tess is the same with small animals, she has a strong prey drive. I try to get it out of her but once she gets in that frame of mind there is no getting through to her.

@@jonathanchavez6597 The only thing I can think of is treats to keep her mind on you and not the other dogs or animals. Bull terriers are known to have strong prey drives so it might be a bit hard to do but definitely not impossible.

My mail was swimming around the pool the other day for hours on end I threw a toy in the bottom of pool didn't think you would be able to get it out of the pool he's a diver by the way he loves to dive under the water for a long. Of time and swim under the water good 6ft he can go but with that being said he got his toys out of the pool big toy heavy to oh about 6 hours play in the pool Splash around having a good old time I thought he broke his tail to find out he gave himself a limp tail it was funny as heck she was so sad and miserable without his tail but it came back about 10 days later love you videos
