These 70 hardcore tessorists were released by Farooq Abdullah govt between july & december 1989.

Nd Islam has problem of secularism. The religion was deeply connected with the state. That is why they are still not able to divide the state and religion. During 1965, under Operation Gibralter, Pakistan tried for mass uprising in J& K against India...but that could not get any break through.
But, in 1990, they were successful and Kashmiri pandits bacame the scape goats.
Ultimately, continuous efforts of Indian Armoud Forces and our intelligence officers made Pakistan's efforts totally unsuccessful.
